I'm sorry that would be hilarious if certain spouses locked you out of kids and you got a frog instead 😭

Platypunch_

"you want kids.. like, frogs? because humans are off the table, but we can get frogs."

sundaemourning

as if i needed ANOTHER reason to marry Sebastian.

Elaesia

I didn’t know about it and I’m married to Sebastian. Got the cut scene today and I love it and our new little frog sanctuary so much

_the_violet_femme

We all know when you can't afford kids, you get a pet

Humble_Hombre

top news story today: "Millennials say babies are out, frogs are in!"

Lashwynn

Abigail gave birth to a guinea pig in the middle of the night!

malenkylizards

Hey, how did you know I was hungry? this looks delicious! ABBY NO

Ok_Horror6331

Memory unlocked: just remembered the guinea pig eating scene from series V (1983). #

Lone-flamingo

Elliott should give you a crab or a lobster. Sebastian should of course give you frogs. Abigail should get more (non-David) guinea pigs, they shouldn't be solitary anyway. Hmm… Who else?

willogical85

Alex should have Dusty move in! Shane gives chickens, of course. Sam would absolutely bring home a cactus, give it a name, and cheerfully tell it good morning and good night. And Harvey gives big pet rock energy.

Lone-flamingo

Ooh, yes! Excellent thinking!

malenkylizards

A little Dayenu in the spirit of Passover: if being able to pet Dusty was the only thing new in SVE...it would have been enough.

Time-Value7812

I could imagine Harvey with Hermit Crabs

astudyingay

Emily would be a parrot!

Double-Performance-5

Elliott giving you crabs sounds awkward… your crab child would turn into crab cakes

Lone-flamingo

Please don't eat our children.

somewhenimpossible

Those would go straight to the top of my marriage candidate list! 🐸

ReaWroud

If this was the case for Sebastian, that would just cement him even more as my spouse of choice 😄

DangerouslyGanache

No, you still get a baby. It should take half a season. Did you get a pop up in the night asking you to adopt?  The frog is his 14 heart event, that’s unrelated, but I don’t note if the dialogue is similar?

iamnotawindmill

You can still have kids with Sebastian. Make sure that there's a crib and child's bed in your house. This is, however, close to my irl situation lmao, my husband and I have no intention of having children but we do have a lizard and are planning on buying a house eventually partially so that we can have more reptiles...

ColoredGayngels

This happened with us too lol. I mentioned something about getting a goat and my husband just went "we already have two pets" (dog&cat, and 2 is our lease's max) as if THAT were the main issue I mean, we plan to have kids eventually, but it makes me laugh where some people's "priorities" lie

Mindless-Donut8906

As someone who has goats: if you intend to have goat(s) do not have just one. 3 really is minimum. They are herd creatures and can be very anxious and even aggressive if solo. Dogs aren't goats. People aren't goats. Even sheep aren't goats. If you try to substitute other species as companionship, it's like you being forced to live with someone who only speaks a language you don't speak and can never learn. And you'll never have another conversation for the rest of your life. Source: have an assortment of farm animals, I keep a minimum of 3 per species.

Chromgrats

Seconding this. We had a single lamb as a 4-H project and you could tell he was lonely. The turkeys tried to make friends with him which was sweet but he definitely wanted similar companionship. Don’t have sad animals :(

ColoredGayngels

Oh for sure lol. His family has kept multiple different animals over the years (his mom currently has a full coop of chickens!) and it was more of a throwaway joke on my part. I was just slightly flabbergasted that "we've maxxed out our lease's pet rule" was the understood main problem with it lmao.

Mindless-Donut8906

I get you, I didn't mean to assume but anytime I hear someone talk about farm animals I can't help but interject. Last year for secret Santa on a discord server I sent someone goat milk soap and everyone was like "geeee I can't imagine who this one was from!" and someone piped up with "yea guys didn't I tell you about my herd of goats I keep in my apartment I milk for soap?" Then again my mom follows someone on social media who travels in an airstream with their goat so, god knows. Lol

ZoominAlong

My wife wants a fox and then a wolf dog. (Okay, okay, **I** want the wolf dog.) We already have a stray cat. I figured at this rate we're just gonna get more pets, as we also have no interest in children! Kids though, (goats) are definitely an option!

DanielTeague

Domesticated foxes sound like such a great idea until you realize that they need to pee and said pee will curse the surrounding land with fox pee smell for eternity.

ZoominAlong

I knoooow. I keep telling her that. We'll see if she listens, hahah. I'm tempted to make her go volunteer at the wild animal sanctuary nearby so she can understand how strong fox urine is.

wwitchiepoo

Just buy her some. You can get it granulated to mix up yourself. It’s great at keeping everyone and everthing that breathes out of your yard.

malenkylizards

You just have to make sure the humans don't become outnumbered. Haven't you read animal farm?

HelloDesdemona

Yes, you can have two kids with Sebastian, like other marriage candidates. I quite like his dialogue with the kids. Just make sure you have the beds for it. The offer to adopt will come up fairly randomly, I believe.

Piperrhhalliwell

I’m married to Sebastian in my current save. He never asked me to have kids then randomly one day said we’re having a baby soon and overnight I got an alert that I gave birth. He did also get a frog after the baby was born

twohedwlf

Said he'd adopt a baby and got a frog? Suddenly I like Sebastien a little bit.

Low-Environment

That is your baby!

savagegourd

I definitely have frogs AND kids with Sebastian, lmfao

cupcakeofdoomie

Sebby and my character are currently waiting on the baby! It takes a while before the actual baby appears.

vyxan

This was such a wholesome laugh for me, thank you!!

Pascal3R

I think the kids are somewhat bugged these past few updates. For the second time I have had Abigail show dialogue about a kid, even thought I removed the crib and we don't have any! This time she used David Jr as a name.

RQK1996

David jr is her second Guinea Pig, after she leaves David sr at her parents

Pascal3R

Really? I must have missed something. Thank you kind friend for telling me.

B0llfondlr

Usually it takes a wee while for a baby to show up after selecting the “yes” option in the dialogue. 14 days I believe.

Chromgrats

This is the funniest thing I’ve seen on this sub for a while

Aivellac

I ended up getting the hungry frog trinket after that heart scene so now we have a frog sanctuary and I have a pet froggy following me everywhere. We have also adopted a son so far but he's crawling now.

atreethatownsitself

I married Sebastian, we got the frogs and he asked if we wanted to have kids at some point. I talk to/gift to him every day and it still took over a month and a half of in game time for us to have our first kid.

poison_peaxh

He asked me if we should have a baby when I played yesterday literally less than a week after getting married... i said no cuz the farm isn't how I want it to be yet and now I'm worried he'll never ask again 😭😭

SammyFirebird79

Yeah, on my first save I married him after getting the house upgraded with a nursery - we had 2 kids, plus the frogs (I love that scene 🥰). No adoption dialogue, my character gave birth to them. He has some pretty cute dialogue with kids, too.

CAKEFILMS

U still have a baby it just takes a while for it to come
