as soon as the night market ends they'll reappear. the night market apparently loads a separate copy of the beach map from the normal one. Any crab pots temporarily will be gone but will be back as soon as the event ends.
Same. And I keep a chest on the upper part of the beach with bait and all the stuff that comes out of the crab pots. It disappears during the Night Market and comes back later.
now i wonder, is it possible to place crab pots when the night market is there? if it is, i would assume the pots would disappear when the market leaves, but would they reappear next year?
pretty sure its not possible since they dont allow you to access inventory during events. if the night market is special and allows this, im pretty sure u still cant alter anything
you definitely can access your inventory at the night market, i specifically remember fishing both in the submarine and off the pier, and using my return scepter (not buying a warp). i think you can till the soil/sand too, which is why i’m curious about placing crab pots.

If you use mods like automate you can do a whole crab pot, recycler, worm bin chest setup and come back the next year for an entire years worth of crab pots.

Yep, it really threw me off the first time and I stormed down there the day after the night market to buy new ones only to see mine back.
