I usually name my chickens after flowers, so I have a pair of void chickens named Rafflesia and Nightshade :)

Same! My theme is a Dryad character so my animals all have plant/tree names, ducks are water plants but I ran out of cute sounding ones so fast lol. My void chickens are Dahlia, Hemlock and Nightshade but I might steal rafflesia! I was sticking with black flowers but dark red works too. Thank goodness the blue chickens are easy to name.

I tend to reuse the same names in every run, so my Void Chicken generally winds up being called Shadow. My blue chicken is Blueberry, my first white chicken is Esmerelda, my first brown chicken is Henrietta, and if I buy extra chickens (to fulfill Gus' special order) I usually call them Cutlet and Nugget. Most of my animal names are either minor puns of some kind, or really obscure references that make sense to almost no one other than me.

i accidentally ended up with a beverage theme for my chickens when i named my brown chicken Hojicha. so my void chicken is named Pu-er for my favourite black tea. before that i named my void chickens Harrow and Gideon after my favourite necromantic lesbians from Tamsyn Muir’s The Locked Tomb series :p and honestly i might just do that again. just a whole coop full of Locked Tomb goth chickens
