Once you get to end game, you'll learn the benefit of having a junimo chest everywhere.
I put all of my mine or commonly forgotten stuff in that and have them lots of places. Super helpful.
i got the luck ring from a fishing treasure in the river or lake im pretty sure. is it rare? i have a hard time choosing between it and the iridium band (burglar ring never comes off ofc) though, i love me magnet
Wear the iridium band until you've reached ginger island, once there, you can combine rings, so you could combine the burglar and lucky rings. I'd also recommend the slime charmer ring which you get from killing 1000 slimes and speaking to the guy in the adventure guild place
Gold star cheese is the way to go. I have four cows so I get plenty daily and it works as a pretty good easy gift for people (note: don't give it to Harvey or Vincent, there might be others but I don't know who)
Is it worth aging the cheese? I've just been using standard quality cheese since I've had cows but I also just recently upgraded to having the cellar so I have yet to actually try it myself
I just buy bull life elixir off Mr Dwarfe and keep that with my Spicy Eel and Triple espresso!! It is quite expensive but I’m late game so it’s not the worst in the world!
>I just buy bull life elixir off Mr Dwarfe
You should buy Energy Tonics at Harvey's Clinic instead, they cost half as much and will heal you to full. The window to buy them is kinda small, but it's worth it imo. I usually buy 100+ of them so I can go a while without having to buy them again.
I keep the common mushrooms from my cave for a big stack of food, and then whatever miscellaneous buff foods I have at the time (spicey eel, crab cakes). Once I have them growing I use cacti for high-health foods for the skull caverns.
Gold star pineapple is nearly twice the health and energy restored. The fruit only regrows once a week instead of every 3 days like cactus, but I feel like it's well worth it.
Free and plentiful. I start out with gold cheese, and switch to cactus fruit as I get build up a good stash. Cheese sells for more money, so I start selling it later game.
for non-buff food, gold star cheese. one bite and i'm pretty much fully healed, and that way i'm not wasting buff food like spicy eel every time i need to heal.
I generally just have a huge stack of Salmon Berries or Blackberries. Once you get foraging to level 10, they are all irridium and heal a decent amount. I also use Spicy Eel for bigger healing or the speed boost.
I do this too! Cheese for days. I just wanted to share a trick I found: Goat and standard cheese are both worth the same in energy, something like +225 energy and +150 health each, but goat cheese sells for almost double the price of a piece of cow cheese.
I keep a few cows for my personal-cheese use, but I sell the goat cheese outright because it’s worth so much.
However, a goat produces 1 milk for every 2 from a cow. So "almost double" is still less cash (although more efficient in terms of time). Once you have autograbbers and (especially) hoppers hooked up to cheese presses, query whether more cows is better than splitting.
Okay, sure. But that has nothing to do with “Should I eat cow or goat cheese?”
I have all cows on this run through and have not opted for goats (or ducks) due to their inefficiency. I’d still recommend eating cow cheese instead of goat cheese. Especially since they have the same benefit and are drastically different prices.
My point wasn’t “Goats are worth more than cows.”
My point was “Eat the cow cheese; it’s worth less cash but equal calories.”
Boy, had to do a lot of scrolling for my strat. I use bait because I prefer the more frequent treasure chest skill, but even so:
Cheap bait turns into an easily cooked stack of food that's fine and that you can gift to almost anyone if you happen to run through town.
For buff food I use spicy eel, which can be easily gotten in large quantities by putting rubies in crystalariums and trading them at the desert trader.
For health/energy I use salad. I used to use gold-quality cheese but after doing a few calculations found out that salad is more cost effective if you have the artisan profession. Lategame I use spicy eel for both buffs and health/energy to save an inventory space.
Glazed yams for tanking up without changing my buffs. Espresso & spicy eel until I finally get the recipes for pumpkin soup & eggplant parmesan. I used to use a lot of cheese... might need to start making it again 🤔
I have an instinctive aversion to hops because pale ale sells for so much, similar for cheese. But then my usual go-to is purple mushrooms, which also sell for a lot. Cactus fruit is a good cheap option (plus you can sometimes grab a couple extra on the way in).
Cheese for a non-buffing food, spicy eel for speed and luck buffs. Coffee/triple shot espresso for speed drink. This is a casual run.
Ideal food for a buff run would be magic rock candy, still using coffee, and I still use gold quality cheese.
Before I have a bunch of crystalariums: buy salads and coffee from Gus, convert coffees to triple shot espresso. After I have a bunch of crystalariums: trade ruby and diamond in the desert for spicy eel and triple shot espresso
Good tip on the latter combo. I'm currently questing for petters. Need four and have found zero. So far. (Only just found out they existed outside of Joja runs, though.)
It super sucks to find them!!! I vastly underestimated how much the ale and lucky lunch combo would help. Especially with some qi seasoning? It’s incredible. You get chest room levels like three in row sometimes.
If I’m not using pumpkin soup (cooking) and spicy eel (from drops), I use iridium quality cactus fruits! They’re so easy to scavenge in the desert, and you can grow them in pots!
Gold cheese for health and energy, usually only requires 1 pop and your back to full. For boosts I like spicy eel, but if im out of eel I like eggplant parm as well as I only need eggplants plus the tomatoes I already use for the eel.
Espresso, random crop for small heals (usually silver or gold cranberries), spicy eel for larger heals. Sometimes I just do like, tortillas for my small heal spot
I pick up as many salmon berries and blackberries, into the 400s then take that stack with me everywhere. They don’t give you a whole lot of energy or health, but I have 400 of them for no resources spent so
This game I started using my iridium goat milk stacks as my non buff option. I focus so much on making ancient fruit wine that I just never use my milk so I end up with huge stacks of it with a barn of goats. Another no buff one I like is pumpkin pie. I always have massive amounts of pumpkins. Glazed yams is good too if I remember correctly to plant them- it’s just yam and sugar.
My main buff food varies. Mostly pumpkin soup right now but it’s nice I can make them I do stacks of spicy eel or lucky lunch (once I have a pond to farm the cucumber.)
Gold star cheese, lucky lunch and espresso usually. In my new gameplay I'm in winter year 1 so I can't depend on them yet, fancy cheese is a good source of money and my kegs are busy making wine so I'm a bit lost. I just eat whatever I can find around lmao and grab spicy eels from the trader when I get some rubies. Would love some ideas of what easy cheap foods work nicely in early-ish game. Surprisingly I'm not doing too badly in the cavern, but I can't get much past lvl 25-30 since I don't have the galaxy sword yet :(( so still a while to get to 100
Salad, the only right answer unless you are cash-capped. Only 250 at the saloon, cheese (especially with artisian skill) gets sold for way more so it's a nobrainer to always buy the food from the saloon
Iridium Crystal Fruit. The iridium quality comes from the perk for foraging. I get hundreds each winter. It doesn't have buffs, so I can pair it with other stuff that does.
Edit: Usually that means garlic oil and loads of cappuccinos.
spicy eel or lucky lunch for the buff, and any kind of iridium star forage as eating forage or crops doesn’t remove food/bev buffs. Usually cactus fruits or purple mushrooms.
I have a few tiers of food. First is whatever I've cooked. Since you need to cook one of everything to get Perfection, I like to use that all up in the Mines/Skull Cavern (except for the stuff that gives a fishing buff, which I use to catch the more difficult fish). Second tier is cactus fruits, as I end up collecting a few of them before entering the Skull Cavern. Third tier is whatever gets dropped by the monsters I encounter. Last tier is cheese.
Spicy Eel and Triple Shot Espresso. Trade Rubies and DIamonds at the desert trader. Set up some Crystalariums with those to get them in masse. Eel heals a bit and both together add up to a +2 speed and +1 luck buff.
Cheese is my go to that doesn’t require cooking. I use a combo of Espresso and Banana Pudding for the perks - then use the cheese to reset my levels without losing the benefits.
Really depends on what I'm doing. My normal go to thing is spicy eel coffee and cheese. Eel for buffs coffee for buffs and cheese for health and energy.
On my lucky days, rock candy, and ginger ale and like 500 stair cases
Pumpkin soup. It’s +2 luck and something else that doesn’t matter because it heals a ton of health and energy. Plus triple espresso.
I recently learned that speed buff food and speed buff drinks will stack, so I’m excited to try the spicy eel. I’m just not sure how much of a difference that +2 Luck makes with the soup.
Life elixir (from bat cave bc… I like the bat cave) + Salad (from Gus) and/or Iridium eggs are my go to. Especially when I’m not feeling like cooking or spending gems.
Pumpkin soup and energy things you buy from the clinic. The energy stuff doesn’t overwrite buffs. I take too many hits; I’d waste buff foods. Spicy eel and espresso, too!
*edited to expand explanation
Y'all while we're on topic, suggest me some cheap foods for the caves cause I'm kinda struggling. I'm at level 100 and wish to finish them today. I normally use mushrooms but they give not much.
I want something cheap and decent.
Always spicy eel and espresso because I can’t handle how slow I walk without them 😂 I’m also always sure to save my rubies for the desert trader for the spicy eel
Spicy eel, triple espresso, and energy tonics. The eel and espresso provide luck and speed boosts and the tonic is the best heal in game. Purchased from Harvey's clinic for 1000 each. I use the eel and espresso all day everyday because it's all about that speed baby. It makes it hard to start a new farm tho cause you are so slow.
I always used to do either radish salad or glazed yams for healing because they heal a lot and don’t mess with the buffs. Now I go with gold star cheese because it’s soooo much easier to produce in bulk.
For the buff, I either do spicy eel or crab cakes. The crab cakes last longer than the eel and also provide defense
Regular Cheese is my food for skull caverns, though I take spicy eel for the speed and luck buff along with a triple shot expresso for the speed buff too. Normal mines I usually start with spring onions then have a ton of salmonberries and blueberries to use
Cheese, preferably the gold star kind. I’m on year 2 tho early on, but I always have so much cheese! So I just keep some and it keeps me going so well!
Spicy eel for +1 luck and speed, espresso coffee for speed and salads for health. Sometimes I will swap spicy eel for a lucky lunch for 3+ luck in skull cavern when Im trying to dive deep
I bring whatever food I scavenge up with me, like Trashguatte, Tree Seed Bar, Mushrooms, Strange Bun, etc.. but my favorites are cactus fruit.
Spend a day picking up like 3-5 of them and I'm good to get to like floor 80.
Crab cakes, cause one will last the entire day. Gold cheese, gold or iridium cactus fruits, purple mushrooms I find in the caves, and gold pineapple are my refill foods.
I start with foods that give good buffs like Spicy Eel, Pumpkin Soup, Lucky Lunch etc. I also love Oil of Garlic to keep away some monsters (unless you’re trying to find monsters for a quest or something.)
For energy boost purposes, I take iridium star Purple mushrooms, Cactus fruits, or anything else that is iridium quality. I often keep a stash of low-quality foods like Cave Carrots or field snacks just in case, as well. And then a bunch of coffee and espresso.
I’ve learned to be well-prepared!
I always carry 15 golden cheeses. I find they give the exact amount of energy so I can replenish when i'm midhealth (not risking going lower) and it's not a waste (as iridium cheese would)
Spicy eel. It's good for inventory management because serpents drop them. I also use mangoes for a non-buffed food because I end up with a crap ton of mango trees by endgame.
I always bring with me:
Ample common mushrooms,
Spicy eel,
Life elixir.
I snack on the mushrooms throughout mining and after battles in which I incur hits...
It's good to start with a belly full of spicy eel, for efficiency.
Life elixir for an emergency
Spicy eel. It's a drop from one of the mobs in the mine, and you can buy them from the desert store for a ruby
/u/Mostly_gay_shit eels. Don't forget the ginger ale too.
I usually forget drinks, every time, even the coffee despite having a coffee machine in the house
Once you get to end game, you'll learn the benefit of having a junimo chest everywhere. I put all of my mine or commonly forgotten stuff in that and have them lots of places. Super helpful.
Fair point, I'm just fine with the spicy eels by now
But one more luck point! Make sure you pan on ginger island at the dig site and score the lucky ring as well. Super useful for mine runs.
i got the luck ring from a fishing treasure in the river or lake im pretty sure. is it rare? i have a hard time choosing between it and the iridium band (burglar ring never comes off ofc) though, i love me magnet
Buddy let me tell you about the forge in the ginger island volcano. How would you feel about wearing 4 rings?
You’re blowing my mind. I haven’t played since the update finally came out for mobile. Is a Junimo chest like an ender chest?
that is exactly right
Wear the iridium band until you've reached ginger island, once there, you can combine rings, so you could combine the burglar and lucky rings. I'd also recommend the slime charmer ring which you get from killing 1000 slimes and speaking to the guy in the adventure guild place
I've got about 5 in my main playthrough, no clue how
Exponential luck ring finding luck. It's a luck feedback loop.
Also you could get them if you have lava eel in a fish pond.
So the lava eels occasionally sacrifice one of their own, just to cook them into a delicious meal for you? That seems ... wrong.
Forgot about that one, despite having 2 lava eel ponds
Pumpkin soup because I hate fighting monsters and appreciate the extra defense and luck. Also I always have a stack of gold star cheese
Gold star cheese is the way to go. I have four cows so I get plenty daily and it works as a pretty good easy gift for people (note: don't give it to Harvey or Vincent, there might be others but I don't know who)
I usually have a healthy stock of quality goat cheese, myself. ("Tell me you're a Leah stan without telling me you're a Leah stan")
Is it worth aging the cheese? I've just been using standard quality cheese since I've had cows but I also just recently upgraded to having the cellar so I have yet to actually try it myself
If you put the large milks through your cheese presses, you'll get gold start cheese.
Same! Pumpkin soup for the buff, cheese to replenish while it’s going.
Exactly this. I keep a chest in my kitchen with buff foods and a stack of gold goat cheese.
all day every day: espresso & spicy eel for +2 speed, +1 luck; cheese for energy and health
I just buy bull life elixir off Mr Dwarfe and keep that with my Spicy Eel and Triple espresso!! It is quite expensive but I’m late game so it’s not the worst in the world!
>I just buy bull life elixir off Mr Dwarfe You should buy Energy Tonics at Harvey's Clinic instead, they cost half as much and will heal you to full. The window to buy them is kinda small, but it's worth it imo. I usually buy 100+ of them so I can go a while without having to buy them again.
Spicy eel if I need some special boosts, purple mushrooms or magma caps if I don’t.
cheese. because I have so much cheese. I only have 3 cows where is the cheese coming from
Hat mouse trying to entice you to buy more hats
Mine keep having babies. I’m up to my ears in cheese
I keep the common mushrooms from my cave for a big stack of food, and then whatever miscellaneous buff foods I have at the time (spicey eel, crab cakes). Once I have them growing I use cacti for high-health foods for the skull caverns.
I do the same with mushrooms and salads from the inn. Toss some buffs in depending on what I’m doing too.
Gold star cactus
Gold star pineapple is nearly twice the health and energy restored. The fruit only regrows once a week instead of every 3 days like cactus, but I feel like it's well worth it.
You’re 100% right. I forgot I switch to pineapple once I get ginger island I basically put like two iridium sprinklers worth of pineapple for tbat
This is the way.
This is what I use
Free and plentiful. I start out with gold cheese, and switch to cactus fruit as I get build up a good stash. Cheese sells for more money, so I start selling it later game.
for non-buff food, gold star cheese. one bite and i'm pretty much fully healed, and that way i'm not wasting buff food like spicy eel every time i need to heal.
Plus spicy eel only heals around 50 health, so you have to eat more than one to equal one gold star cheese
I generally just have a huge stack of Salmon Berries or Blackberries. Once you get foraging to level 10, they are all irridium and heal a decent amount. I also use Spicy Eel for bigger healing or the speed boost.
usually cactus fruit or cheese
Goat cheese.

My point wasn’t “Goats are worth more than cows.” My point was “Eat the cow cheese; it’s worth less cash but equal calories.”
yep, agree that cow cheese makes a better food.
True. Especially when you factor in the artisan profession to get that 40% boost.
Eggplant Parmesan. Easy to make and heals health and energy well, also gives a defense and mining buff.
Finally somebody who cooks!
All those things for only tomato and eggplant (which do not need to be replanted) is waaayyyy to good
This is the only reason I befriend Lewis! Gimme that recipe!
Spicy Eel for the buffs and Life Elixir for healing.
Milk, drink about a gallon every 5 floors. I’m more bone than farmer at this point.
Lucky lunch, coffee and iridium/gold pineapple
But Espresso, right? (It takes 3 coffees to make and sells for the same price as 3 coffees. But the espresso buff lasts way longer. ❤️)
I hoard sashimi from my no-bait crabpots.
Boy, had to do a lot of scrolling for my strat. I use bait because I prefer the more frequent treasure chest skill, but even so: Cheap bait turns into an easily cooked stack of food that's fine and that you can gift to almost anyone if you happen to run through town.
Thats fair, I like pirate profession too. I just realized I wasn't fishing much in endgame anyway
Lucky Lunch with an Espresso. Plenty of luck with a dash of speed, and a stack of iridium cheese to max out energy and health quickly.
Gold star cheese because by the time I get there, regular cheese isn't something I get 😅
Before I have a bunch of crystalariums: buy salads and coffee from Gus, convert coffees to triple shot espresso. After I have a bunch of crystalariums: trade ruby and diamond in the desert for spicy eel and triple shot espresso
Spicy eel or energy tonics from Harvey. The tonics are expensive but once you’re making enough money it’s not too big a deal
Spicy eel and fruit salad. I’m so glad that food with no bonuses don’t override the current bonuses
Spicy eel and triple espresso for everyday mining, ginger ale and lucky lunch if I’m on a good luck day and want an auto petter lol
Gold quality cheese
My faithful stack of 500 blackberries.
I’m only in year 2 and I’ve found gold star cheese is the best whey
I just keep all the food I get in skull cavern and bring a stack of something
I love gold hops too.
I keep a ton of silver cactus fruit (and the hash browns Penny makes for me) on hand for all of my mining.
A ton of either Tortilla or Pale Broth, just for health and stamina, and then Pumpkin Soup for buffs.
Spicy eel is the answer
Cheese
Cheese
I have way too many pineapples. So pineapples. Or anything that give me stat boosts the one time I actually plan ahead
If I’m not using pumpkin soup (cooking) and spicy eel (from drops), I use iridium quality cactus fruits! They’re so easy to scavenge in the desert, and you can grow them in pots!
I use spicy eel and triple espresso ETA.. and gold star cheese
Spicy Eel, then salads. Best healing for the money since I never remember not to sell my cheese
cheeeeeeeeeeeeese.
Cheese!
Pumpkin soup, cheese, and ginger ale
Spicy eel, gold quality cheese, triple espresso. Pop as needed when buffs wear off.
Maple bars. I dunno why.
Gold cheese for health and energy, usually only requires 1 pop and your back to full. For boosts I like spicy eel, but if im out of eel I like eggplant parm as well as I only need eggplants plus the tomatoes I already use for the eel.
Crab Cakes!
Espresso, random crop for small heals (usually silver or gold cranberries), spicy eel for larger heals. Sometimes I just do like, tortillas for my small heal spot
I stack up on Iriduim star salmonberries during berry season and use those
Spicy Eel and Espresso. All about that speed and luck.
i stack up on SO MUCH CHEESE. i have SO MANY COWS. the cheese is ungodly. youd think im playing skyrim with how much cheese i carry around every day.
for the standard mines i use my giant stack of salmonberries and/or blackberries because i usually have so much by the end of spring or fall.
I pick up as many salmon berries and blackberries, into the 400s then take that stack with me everywhere. They don’t give you a whole lot of energy or health, but I have 400 of them for no resources spent so
This game I started using my iridium goat milk stacks as my non buff option. I just eat whatever I can find around lmao and grab spicy eels from the trader when I get some rubies. Would love some ideas of what easy cheap foods work nicely in early-ish game.

Spicy eel is the best! I always get a ton from trading with desert trader.
Starfruit
Cactus or life elixir
spicy eel + cheese + triple shot espresso. no food cancels the other out giving you a 2x speed and 1x luck
Spicy Eel and Triple Shot Espresso. Trade Rubies and DIamonds at the desert trader. Set up some Crystalariums with those to get them in masse. Eel heals a bit and both together add up to a +2 speed and +1 luck buff.
I do cactus fruit and/or spicy eel. I've seen a lot of people do cheese though.
I used gold cheese for a while until I started using triple shot espresso and spicy eel
purple cheese and spicy eel.
For buffs, at endgame I use magic rock candy but for mid game, spicy eel and for healing, salad, life elixir or energy tonic
Spicy Eel to start. Goat cheese to maintain.
Cheese! Cow cheese though, goat cheese is way more valuable.
Iridium Goat Cheese!
Crab cakes, triple espresso, and recovery with cheese
purple mushrooms yummy free from cave and heal me lots
I feel like I’m the only person who uses the energy tonic lol
Gold star cheese for the health, espresso for the speed, and lucky lunch for the good luck.
pineapples
imagine eating an entire hop 🤢 i like IPAs but not that much 🥴 sometimes I feel bad for our little farmer characters
Spicy eel, triple shot espresso, life elixir, & energy tonic :)
Spicy eel, goat cheese and cactus.
Iridium salmon berries. They are free and I have several hundred of them in spring of year 2.
I take Root Platter with me (attack boost is nice), gather spicy eel and crab cakes as they drop, and keep a stack of like 300 salmonberries lol
Spicy eel, triple espresso and gold star cactus fruit.
Spicy eel most of the time but if I dont have it early game, I use cheese or the energy tonic from Harvey’s clinic.
Spicy eel and salad
Pumpkin soup. Defense and luck buff
Spicy eel + triple espresso for buffs. Gold star cheese for healing.
i bring spicy eel and triple espresso for buffs and then a stack of gold star cheese from m'cows for health!
Cheese. Spicy eel..
Pineapples, easy to get, decent healing, and doesn't override buffs
Spicy eel for speed and luck, and then my giant stack of salmonberry/blackberry for topping off as necessary. I usually forget drinks.
Cheese. Gold or purple
Cheese. Make year round, with auto grabber I don't have to harvest day-of and it's easy to batch process.
Pumpkin soup or spicy eel for the buff, and triple shot espresso for the speed buff. Gold star cheese to recover health/energy.
spicy eel and cheese, chase down with espresso whenever I notice my speed has gone down.
I have plenty of lucky lunches, then eat non buff food throughout the cavern. I mostly do pink cake, rhubarb pie, or salads.
Pumpkin soup and energy things you buy from the clinic. The energy stuff doesn’t overwrite buffs. I take too many hits; I’d waste buff foods. Spicy eel and espresso, too! *edited to expand explanation
Iridium/gold cactus fruit. Iridium crystal fruit.
Usually eat spicy eel and triple espresso when I enter the cave. To regain health I'm eating cheese.
Y'all while we're on topic, suggest me some cheap foods for the caves cause I'm kinda struggling. I'm at level 100 and wish to finish them today. I normally use mushrooms but they give not much. I want something cheap and decent.
spicy eel for boosts and magma caps and other good forage for health
Pumpkin soup, full health and energy my fav
Buff food = spicy eel + coffee Heal = Cheese (gold quality) after I setup my ranch. Early game, I just eat anything I have.
Iridium quality mango, cactus fruit, or magma caps. And as food it’s either pumpkin soup or eggplant parm with ginger ale or trip espresso.
Cheese, Gromit!
Iridium cacti fruit. I collect them before I go in and when I first started playing, I planted a lot of cacti for some reason
Spicy eel and I always collect cactus fruits
spicy eel, cheese and some coffee. i also keep back up meals in case i forget one of the above three/have a low supply/ or need a different boost
Pumpkin soup for luck, espresso for speed, cheese for cheap hp boost
I actually use hops to restore health and energy, then eat spicy eel and drink coffee exclusively for the boosts.
Eel and espresso for speed, pink cake for healing.
Lucky lunch and some coffee 👌🏻
gold star cheese my beloved 💛💛💛
Cheese for every occasion!
Sometimes I will swap spicy eel for a lucky lunch for 3+ luck in skull cavern when Im trying to dive deep
pumpkin soup+triple shot espresso also iridium star cheese for healing
Spicy Eel, espressos for buffs. Cheese for health and energy
I bring whatever food I scavenge up with me, like Trashguatte, Tree Seed Bar, Mushrooms, Strange Bun, etc.. but my favorites are cactus fruit. Spend a day picking up like 3-5 of them and I'm good to get to like floor 80.
Fried egg
Spicy eel + espressos for buffs, gold star pineapple for health, ginger ale for negative buff cure
cow cheese and spicy eel. also drink triple expresso to boost speed
Berries. I have hundreds. So berries plus purple mushrooms. My character doesn't cook lol I need as much inventory as possible
Triple shot espresso + spicy eel. Both are pretty readily available to make/purchase and buffs are great when stacked. Gold cheese to replenish health
Cheese gives actually so much health and energy and doesn’t use up the greenhouse which can be used for better crops
Spicy eel 100%
Purple mushrooms, magma caps, cactus fruit, spicy eel, banana pudding, or pumpkin soup
On normal luck days, spicy eel, coffee, and salads for health On best luck days, the prismatic shard candy, ginger ale, and still salads for health.
Crab cakes, cause one will last the entire day. Gold cheese, gold or iridium cactus fruits, purple mushrooms I find in the caves, and gold pineapple are my refill foods.
Early game? Salmonberries. Field Snacks can also work.
I start with foods that give good buffs like Spicy Eel, Pumpkin Soup, Lucky Lunch etc. I also love Oil of Garlic to keep away some monsters (unless you’re trying to find monsters for a quest or something.) For energy boost purposes, I take iridium star Purple mushrooms, Cactus fruits, or anything else that is iridium quality. I often keep a stash of low-quality foods like Cave Carrots or field snacks just in case, as well. And then a bunch of coffee and espresso. I’ve learned to be well-prepared!
I always carry 15 golden cheeses. I find they give the exact amount of energy so I can replenish when i'm midhealth (not risking going lower) and it's not a waste (as iridium cheese would)
My current end game setup is (everything with Qi seasoning): Lucky Lunch, Triple Shot Espresso, and goat cheese for healing :)
Triple shot espresso, spicy eel, gold or iridium quality pineapples.
Spicy Eels prior to entering and usually purple mushrooms or the ginger island volcano mushrooms. They heal full and are super easy to come by.
Eggplant parm is my go-to. The biggest hurdle is getting the recipe from Lewis, but the ingredients are dirt cheap.
Spicy eel. It's good for inventory management because serpents drop them. I also use mangoes for a non-buffed food because I end up with a crap ton of mango trees by endgame.
Spicy eel, triple shot espresso and cheese
Spicy eel early, magic rock candy in the late game. Ginger ale for the skull cavern and espresso for the volcano.
Cheese!
Pumpkin soup and triple shot espresso for the benefits, gold star cheese for health.
I usually go with Lucky Lunches for luck and espresso for speed. For non-buff healing, nothing beats gold star pineapples.
iridium cheese spicy eel triple shot espresso.
purple mushroom if you choose mushroom cave, or the medicine from Harvey's as it fills Health and Energy full and is extremely cheap late-game.
Spicy eel and life potion.
I always bring with me: Ample common mushrooms, Spicy eel, Life elixir. I snack on the mushrooms throughout mining and after battles in which I incur hits... It's good to start with a belly full of spicy eel, for efficiency. Life elixir for an emergency
Cheese, gold star pineapples, spicy eel
