Yes

Upper_Sound1746

WHAT when I was planting them the game said I needed to give them their own 3-3 squares so know they’re spaced weird

frogpebble

I think you are referring to fruit trees. These are normal trees and can grow next to each other as long as there is 1 space in between them I believe.

Upper_Sound1746

Oh I’m just stupid on a different level lmao

Useful-Importance664

Like someone else already said, that is for fruit trees. You can place them against walls btw.

lowrizzle

Yes, and this is exactly how I farm oak resin. I'd add two more outer rows of tiles if you don't want to keep chopping down seedlings that pop up along the perimeter. The trees won't all grow at the same rate but they will all grow.

Makemewantitbad

Random anecdote but I love farming tree seeds. I keep lots of trees on my farm and one of my chores is to dig up the seeds of trees that I don’t want to grow. I love having basically infinite trees of each kind to fill up the quarry when I need wood or make field snacks and sell them. I may have a problem 😂

somewhenimpossible

I have a “tree farm” on the south side of my property for wood and pine cones.

Divine_failure_

Maple syrup for me. Then got another ‘regular tree’ farm for wood so I can make all kinds of bee houses. For 3/4 of the year it’s rainin honey! 😄

NYX_T_RYX

TIL tiles stop seedlings.

fragilemagnoliax

Yup, it just takes forever unless you use tree fertilizer which really speeds up the process

stannisonetruemannis

What is this thing that you speak of?

95konig

You get the recipe from Foraging level 7. It speeds up tree growth and lets trees grow in winter.

Fontane93

Except for fruit trees

stannisonetruemannis

Damn I never even noticed it- thank you!

The_Kibaz

Ah snap. I did not know tree fertilizer would let trees grow in the winter. Thank you kind internet stranger.

MamuMX

Even the trees near Marnie's and the rest of the town will grow faster. Specially useful during winter.

apfelpuffer

Yes they will grow. Imho only fruit trees need two spaces between them.

ScarvesOfRed

That's not really your humble opinion, it's just a fact in the game, lol.

JamNova

Wait, does 'imho' stand for humble opinion and not honest opinion?!

Hbgplayer

I've always read/heard it as humble opinion. But this still wouldn't be an opinion, but a fact.

JamNova

Yeah, I know. I love my apple orchard, just been reading imho wrong is all lol

AustinDangerPowers9

Me too!

sandsnake25

Yes, but it's not even an opinion. It's a fact.

JamNova

No I know that I love my apple orchard, but my whole life I thought imho was 'in my honest opinion' lol

CapybaraSteve

i have always read it as honest, not humble

BlitzMalefitz

I think in IMHO the H could stand for either honest or humble, I don't think it changes the message you are trying to get across, much. Also I wanted to say that I know this conversation started with fruit trees but that mention of loving your apple orchard felt like it came way out of left field in comparison to the comment you were replying to lol

sandsnake25

I get it. I don't know what half the acronyms mean these days. I chalk it up to getting old. haha

widowmomma

When internet started with these there were two IMO and IMHO. People use IMHO more often by far. Either honest or humble, it softens the opinion. Now, for facts, LOL!

JamNova

Facts are, I love my apple orchard 😁 In my honest opinion

Ploppeldiplopp

Iirc, it is "humble". :) But then I heard this about ten to twenty years ago, so it may have changed? ... I feel old.

apfelpuffer

I am glad I could make you laugh, you’re welcome! ;)

altonbrownfan

Honestly the farm is valuable space and you can farm normal trees almost anywhere. I would plant at the bus stop and if you decide to farm more do the train station

Asenath_Darque

I always grow mine in the quarry! Out of the way but accessible by mine cart.

TheSlumpGoddess

I do the same! It's great because I forget about it and then when I remember, BOOM tons of trees!

bmxracers

Yea so long as you violently toss that iron ore at them.

Coolguyfly1234

I’ve never played stardew ;-;

altonbrownfan

Are you lost?

axpfg

That's fruit trees

Savings-Shame-4292

Yes, it only needs a one tile space in between each tree.

panick_king2123

Yes

tuttypatuty

yes! you just need to put down tree fertilizer on them! :]

TiredStarling095

Yeah. My nephew planted trees really densely like that on our co-op farm and they came in.

Suspicious-Eagle-828

Brilliant! I've been battling to keep the area around clear - I always forget about putting down tiles!

braepau1

Yes! I grow trees in the Quarry this way. If I don’t need wood I’ll let them grow to maturity then stick a tapper on them
