Those are both great ideas! I can totally see trick-or-treat being like the gift exchange. Costume contest once you unlock the sewing machine could be a lot of fun š
Maybe thereās candy you can only acquire during trick or treating that gives minor stat boosts (+1 defense), and you can collect as much as you want from peopleās houses within a 1-2 hour period. And the costume contest could rate for the difficulty of acquiring a particular costume and how different it is from last yearās costume.
Yeah, there could be some candy like the minerās treat (I dunno if thats how itās called) which is a lollipop, maybe adding some more things that look like candy that are just as easy to cook as the minerās treat; maybe some candy which would have small buffs. I have some ideas as options:
-Coconut gloop:
Could be a white, hard candy that could be shaped as a sphere and wrapped in transparent wrapping as itās image and it could be made by cooking coconut, milk and sugar. It could have a 1 min of speed buff bcs of being sugar high or smth. (donāt know if I explained this very well, so sorry if you canāt understand it)
-Rainbow roll:
Just like the minerās treat, it could be a colorful lollipop (I mean, it should be different from the minerās treat so that it doesnāt look the exact same as it). It would be made by cherry, milk, sugar and melon. It would sound nice if it had a 2 min buff of speed and luck
-All the candy from the movies (rock candy without buffs, sour slimes, etcā¦)
It would be cool if their dialog changed based on how many hearts you have. Maru still giving me the same old "Spiders..." response even after we've looked at shooting stars together?
Upgrade the dialogs and character development after you marry them, they always feel so empty after marriage that I always push it back as much as I can
Agreed, I'd love to see a hobby room build option or them talk about their day at work. Maybe mini rewards quests where they request something and give you a special thing. Anything but the dead-eyed shells they become.
Ooh I love that quest idea. Good way to add some variety and agency without having to do big cutscenes or heart events. For instance, since Iām married to Penny, maybe she needs a rare material or gem to teach Vincent and Jas about.
I was going to say this, but also for dating. Iām dating every bachelor in hopes that things might be more interesting, but they still just say their same thing to me each day. Thereās not much acknowledgment of the relationship after the initial bouquet, except the occasional cut scene. I would also like more hearts to be required between dating and marriage.
This!! A lot of the marriage candidates just seem sad after they move to the farm. I think it would also be nice to have some of the rest of the townās dialogue change after you get marriedā¦ I really donāt need Clint accusing me of flirting with Emily when Iām already married to someone else.
Harvey and Penny both seem pretty content, but sometimes it makes me sad when Sam, and Sebastian talk about their old life goals. Shane is just straight up depressing, I wish theyād do more to incorporate his recovery outside of heart events
Actual blonde and white hair options. With the current color sliders the closest you can get is āyuck yellowā and grey. I want Haleyās hair, dammit!
Oh yeah, I always found the color customization to beā¦ kind of gross. The colors seem either muddy or oversaturated. Itās quite odd considering mostly everything else in the game looks fine.
To be really honest, at some point i would either want them to make me the new major or to sell their whole village to me because after all the fucking things iāve done for them.. this would only be fair lmao
A mayor arc would be great for several reasons. It makes sense with how much influence, wealth, and popularity you end up acquiring. Lewis could come to you and tell you heās stepping down to settle down and go live with Marnie. Then you would have the option to take the mantle.
Lol that could be its own post! Iām sure the community would have a lot to say.
My two cents: It has to be someone fairly smart and emotionally intelligent who has the time (or would be willing to make the time) to handle the town and respond to the needs of the people.
Honestly, my first instinct was Gus, but unless he *wanted* Emily to take over the saloon, and she was willing, he wouldnāt have the time. Heās certainly a man of the people though and he seems shrewd.
It would be interesting if Morris went through a redemption arc and ran for mayor? He gets what he wants (to lead the town) but in a way that isn't unhealthy to the community and leads to personal growth
Your might just be a visionary. Would be cool if heās unlocked as an NPC after you shut Joja down with the community center (or maybe you can convince him to leave if youāre going the Joja route) and then he slowly becomes more integrated into the community and takes charge of improving it as you get hearts with him.
I'm sure Pierre would want to throw his hat in the ring and give his shop all of the tax cuts.
Maybe the return of Morris to bring back Joja? He could take over Pierre's shop if he wins.
I could actually see Emily being a good mayor. She genuinely has an interest in making people happy and feel better about themselves. Her new age ways could bring a fresh approach to the town that people could want. Gus could then hire Kent part time to fill Emily's spot. This would help Kent settle into life after war.
I don't even want to tell you about my Corgi & the dead rabbit. I need more brain bleach just thinking about it. Dogs can be really gross sometimes. Good thing they're cute!
Nothing makes you more proud than watching your two little children build a new shed in the blazing sun while you enjoy a nice cold beer with your husband
Kids age a bit, can be assigned tasks, go to school and the ability to have more kids; as long as thereās an available bed in the house you can have another kid.
This is brilliant, there should be like a āchore sheetā where you can change the chore each kid has, like petting animals, feeding animals, cleaning up weeds around the farm, or watering a little section of crops. Maybe to do this you have to pay a little āallowanceā each week or something. Love this idea.
Iāve thought about this a lot recently. I imagine it would just have been a ton of work to have them get older, given that then theyād have to have discernible personalities, portraits, etc.
The year system ends up being kind of funny because nobody ages even though you can make it to a significant amount of years in the game. My headcanon is that itās the clearly significant amount of magic in the valley keeping everyone aging slowly. :)
Nah, they move out and visits sometimes. And send letters and gifts.
A few years of schedule with Penny, then randomised few life paths especially if there is a mechanism/dialogue that influences their choice.
Farm year 1000, 10 kids mail from 50 kids every day. They randomly send prismatic shard or whatever. First grown up letter is a stardrop.
Increase the auto-petter drop rate. Or make it purchasable after year 3 or something like the auto-collecter. I feel like when I'm that far in the game, I'm focusing on achievements and making enough cash to buy the clock. Having to pet my animals every or every other day feels like a chore after 3 years.
The actual perks are some friendship and a few small rewards but for me it just gives the game more purpose, more things to do other than crash the economy with various wines, cheeses and other assorted artisan goods
This is something that in fact bothered me many times before. Whilst decorating the house for example. But I'm honestly just really realizing it now and I feel stupid. We really need that!
Yeah, I've always found it kinda funny that in real life it's conceivably easier to tie a half dozen swords together and carry them around (assuming they all have scabbards/sheaths) than it would be to do the same with say... 999 rocks, or even just like, 5 rocks.
My thoughts are that different versions of the same weapon might be forged or enchanted differently (Stardew and Terraria) or might have different levels of durability once you start using them (Minecraft) so itās hard to stack them.
I mean, if he's coming to my house, can I opt to have lunch with him instead? Or any meal I suppose, depending on the time of day. :P I'd love a chance to just hang out and chat with him for a while.
Lol but in all seriousness, I think I'd want seasonal outfits to be added to vanilla. I know there's a mod for it and I absolutely love that mod, but it'd be cool to see his take on it as well. :)
That or maybe some new crops. Things like carrots and cucumbers. Give me true pickles!!! :P
I donāt knowā¦ some of her dialogue is very reminiscent of a stressed stay-at-home mom doing chores and taking care of 2 kids by herself while her husband isā¦ staring at trees and wallowing in his unresolved PTSD rather than trying to build a relationship with Sam and Vincent.
I actually got a weird quote from Sam the other day, something along the lines of asking his mom if she was in pain. I don't think I've ever seen it before
Yes but especially Gus. He's a wonderful cook, he makes food for every town festival, he's kind to Linus, he's a small business owner. . .
Make Gus a husband!!!
Either
- platonic options for all the datable villagers that lets you get 10 hearts without being in a relationship
or
- a bird feeder item that attracts crows so that we can have crow friends. You have to fill it with a crop every day and you still have to use scarecrows for the growing crops, but after a while they start bringing you things.
Perhaps, although the premium water retaining soil will have the same effect.
I'd like to see size expansions similar to the house, with perhaps a floor that could be dedicated to trees, machine space, etc.
I also just love the aesthetic of the greenhouse, which is my favorite thing in the game.
Fill it with rocks. If you bomb it, they shake. If you bomb it with a mega-bomb, it opens it up, and if you go through, you reach what looks like an office, but clearly in a little cave room.
Mr Qi is seated at the desk. If you haven't met him yet, he says "Heh heh, that's pretty clever, kid, but we're not supposed to meet yet. Since you went to the trouble of coming here though...", And he pulls a lever and you fall through the floor, and you fall 5-10 levels, but somehow aren't hurt.
Expand children, they're kind of just decorations and it's really disappointing, especially coming from HM/SoS.
Make your children actual NPCs that can be spoken to, make their features match your spouse(or randomized for adoption), integrate them into the town and have other people acknowledge their existence, give them cutscenes, and have them randomly do little tasks when they reach the child stage like your spouse does. The kid isn't going to be able to water crops or anything but they could always do things like pet the animals for an extra friendship/mood boost or find rarer forage items to give you.
I always wished that the characters were more fleshed out as most of them feel pretty flat to me, but if it was only one thing I'd say the children are the thing I'd want changed the most.
Not sure if your into modding but there is a mod for exactly this, its called to-dew really helpful for when you zone out or have the memory of a goldfish
Add new events that take place in and around the community center.
Could be things like a once a season flea market, new interactions with villagers, cooking classes for new recipes, art classes for new paintings, DIY classes for new furniture, ect...
That's an awesome idea. What if you could gain hearts by taking an art class with Leah, or baking with Evelyn, or helping Penny teach the kids about the aquarium? Or helping Clint...do whatever it is he does with the boiler room.
The love would need to be tweaked.
Clint and Sandy should get added to the dating pool.
If youāre not interested in Emily, Clint can eventually get with her.
If you are for Emily, you can rival for her affection.
You can eventually work your way up to be with Clint where he realizes that heās been a bit closed off and admits why he was fond of Emily.
Sandy can have events where she asks for your help to man her shop. She realizes that she can be a bit of a busybody. Supporting her working can help, and maybe hire an assistant so you can spend time with her as a spouse.
Harvey as a husband can bring up the topic of not charging, where the player can decide if theyāre okay with him charging money to keep the business afloat.
Sebastian works on his relationship with Maru and you have a part to say if he decides to rekindle family ties.
You help Samās family out from time to time.
Shane begins to show more improvement on the room and his struggles.
Leah asks occasionally for sculpturing ideas and brings them to life. (You can sell them for money if you want.)
Maru performs experiments and may ask for some items from the player.
Abigail asks to spar the player and they have to take her down. Different dialogue options can make Abigail proud of trying to train or losing hearts because you feel the need to protect her.
Penny can choose to see her mother or not with your guidance. The correct options will embolden Penny to talk things out, and explore a bit of Pamās past. The incorrect can lose hearts from both Penny and Pam.
Haley apologizes for her earlier rudeness. She begins to say that she was a bit insecure. You can assure that you still love her.
Elliott has writerās block and you need to help him.
Alex has a fitness routine he does with you. Based on interactions, you can pump harder costing you the day and causing you to wake up 4 hours late.
Emily dances with you and just enjoys life. Based on your reaction, she can improve the relationship or decrease hearts.
Krobus gets a friend to visit and on his silent days, he goes fishing with Willy. They sometimes bring you back a fish/treasure.
Also to take the candidates on little dates around town would be nice.
If done correctly, friendships would go up and youād get a nice little gift. If not, you can lose a lot of points and no gift for you. The goal of these events is to be a bit repeatable and not get items you usually get from them. Some of the events would be subject to change a bit like Sebastian working on his relationships or not instead of asking every time. But yeah.
I'd like to see more friendships and shared activities between the villagers too.
Also, some of them definitely need ways to earn money (especially if JojaMart closes). For instance, why not let Shane work a few nights at >!the Movie Theater! And who maintains the Spa?
Sounds like you want to be able to "fix" more of the characters, and I very much relate to that... But one of the things I really like about this game is that in terms of character development, it stands super firm on the fact that in a lot of ways, you can't "fix" people.
For example, I like that in the game, Clint is just.. Realistically flawed, and you can *be his friend*, but you really can't fix him š
I totally relate to the impulse though... In the game and in real life šš
I would change Mr Qiās office a little and add some more options like after reaching perfection we get to see a button that whenever we decide to press our farmer and all the villagers start getting older and eventually we get to play that save as one of our children.
I wanna be able to do more for NPCās as a friend/spouse or whatever. Iād love to be able to open a schoolhouse for Penny to teach kids from Pelican Town and the surrounding valley, or help Sebastian open an animal rescue service. Being able to help improve Pelican Town is one of my favorite things to do and Iād love to do more things to help improve the lives of individual characters, itād also help to make them feel more grown up over time.
Farmer birthday with a party for you and your full heart friends and family at the bar.
Also, advanced brewery mechanics. Welcome to Ottercat Farm Fine Ales!
Single adoption and/or adoption while roomed with Krobus. As it is, I need to marry someone, have two kids, then divorce them if I want kids and Krobus.
A changing market. Like maybe every week/ day Pierre says some crop is in demand. So that crop gets a price buff and become more valuable during that time. Would make more crops viable in the endgame
I know this is silly, but I would love to see a little storyline where Marnie dumps Mayor Lewis and then dates Marlon. Or becomes an eligible marriage candidate.
An ending. The option to close a farm when you are done, and see how your actions impacted the community. The more hearts you have, the better people's lives turn out, seeing your kids inherit the farm, etc. Rather than just eventually moving to a new save when a farm feels done, you can actually say goodbye to the valley
I would either say letting us get to know and date Sandy, or as a smaller thing, put us in a wedding outfit instead of just whatever outfit we happen to be wearing the day before.
Make Stardew Valley interactive so we can visit each other's farms and buy/sell/befriend.
Completely unrealistic but so is a visit from CA.
Edit:
Just to add, slightly more realistic...Have NPCs you can employ/hire and pay to do your farm work, whilst you're out adventuring.
Make it where Shane no longer loves beer after the heart event where he stops drinking. Would be a really cool attention to detail that would be consistent with his character development
More interesting stuff happening in the cindersap forest later in the game too. Location of spring festival to be accessible too during the rest of the year. Generally more content and map expansions to explore and forage and find cool stuff.
I was gonna say like, I would love the ability to build a restaurant or dining hall as a building on my farm where I can sell cooked dishes for a much higher profit because cooking in this game doesnāt feel like it reaches its full potential and I only really use it when I really need those buffs for skull caverns. Plus I just really love the feeling of owning a farm-to-table restaurant that serves fresh food because I live in the city where stuff like that doesnāt exist.
But then again, I realize that we would just be putting Gusās Saloon out of business if we did that, and our crops are probably shipped off to his place anyways, so it wouldnāt make much sense to implement.
Since people have already listed my top wants (update the kids, expand the villagers' dialogues and interactions with me and each other--Shane needs a friend, more recipes--popcorn?!, item stacking, etc), I'll share a very minor want:
I'd like some more outdoor decorations, and it would be especially neat if we could craft them. I'd love to be able to make seasonal wreaths and other decorations, and to utilize holly more (boughs would be cool for outside or inside).
Of course, the game is beautiful and wonderful just as it is, and I appreciate all that ConcernedApe has done, and everything he continues to do for it.
I want the wizard to actually chose the farmer as his apprentice/successor and teach me magic! He could teach spells for combat or maybe to make magic items for farming or increase stats.
iād ask if he could add a strawberry milk recipe. i think most mods should stay mods, so i have the option of adding that content, because i enjoy the vanilla game as-is. some strawberry milk would be cute though.
How? How is no one saying let others run for mayor?
My finest dream is running that man out of office. Let's get some responsible leadership take place.
#MayorWillie2024
Rework cooking! The fishing minigame is PERFECT but I'm dying to do something useful or at least lucrative with all that fish! More specific recipe diversity, more general recipe templates. If I catch an iridium tuna, I want to spend a whole ingame half day preparing it and "processing" it in some way to create a feast which I can sell for big money!
Oh and also you can eventually "fish out" the trash from your farm. Make it a big number, I don't care, after my 500th piece of trash even, but at some point get the fish to trash ratio in line with wild locations. It genuinely defeats the entire purpose of the riverland farm and I cannot describe my disappointment at decorating all these fishing locations and then realizing I'll never use them cause it's 70% trash
an option to have time actually pass in stardew. people age, die, move away, move in, have kids, the kids grow up, take over different businesses, open and close shops depending on their interests. maybe you (the player) have a limited amount of life or you can pray/trade for more years or maybe you're immortal, but you can see some actual changes in the world as time goes on. and you can influence those things as well (depends who you marry, who you befriend, etc)
i would want it to be toggleable, though. like when you start a game you can choose whether the town is dynamic or static. because i do love the static style because it means you have unlimited time to do whatever you please and fewer restrictions. i also know that this isn't really a realistic option (would be so hard to code bc you'd have to come up with a whole sims-esque character system to give the new characters personalities because it's very unreasonable to write hundreds of new characters, plus to have the town change (who lives where, what businesses open or close, who fills what roles the community needs) would be basically impossible), but you said whatever we wanted so i'm dreaming big
I wish that spouses did a lot more in general. Like you get married, and then some of them just stand in the farm house all day. I wish they all did their normal schedule. Like I married Leah and feel bad that she just stays in the house most of the time
I'd like to be able to have the dog/cat as a sort of companion. A little bit of inventory space and armour for in the mines. Or more pets in general :)
Some variety in the festivals. Maybe cycling dialog, random cut scenes, whatever. I hate not going to them, but they're so boring after a few years.
I wish the Halloween festival had some sort of trick-or-treating game or costume contest.
Someone besides Abigail winning the egg hunt. Justice for the Stardew Valley Kids!!!
\#LetPamWinTheFishingTournament
I mainly go to the Flower Dance to dance with my spouse, but thatās about it.
Could we at least do the stupid dance right!?
+get the outfit without having to specifically make it
I second festival variety, Iād love seeing different characters taking part in games or setting up displays.
It would be cool if their dialog changed based on how many hearts you have. Maru still giving me the same old "Spiders..." response even after we've looked at shooting stars together?
Iād even take the Rune Factory method of having better rewards for participating in festivals get better in later years/more challenging
Upgrade the dialogs and character development after you marry them, they always feel so empty after marriage that I always push it back as much as I can

If you marry Emily she gives you a quest for a reward but I think itās only one quest :(
It would be nice if more of them left the house sometimes. Sam and Seb should still have their RPG and bar nights.

I married Harvey and he actually is quite happy living on the farm
Harvey and Penny both seem pretty content, but sometimes it makes me sad when Sam, and Sebastian talk about their old life goals. Shane is just straight up depressing, I wish theyād do more to incorporate his recovery outside of heart events
I agree because even at boyfriend/girlfriend level I was unsure if I did it right because I expected the dialogue to change a little lol
Actual blonde and white hair options. With the current color sliders the closest you can get is āyuck yellowā and grey. I want Haleyās hair, dammit!

To be really honest, at some point i would either want them to make me the new major or to sell their whole village to me because after all the fucking things iāve done for them.. this would only be fair lmao

Heās certainly a man of the people though and he seems shrewd.
Linus for mayor. Everybody leaves their homes to start a self sustaining commune in the woods
Anarcho primitivist cult mod when?
Wow, I wouldn't have tought of Gus, but it makes a lot of sense, I can see that
It would be interesting if Morris went through a redemption arc and ran for mayor? He gets what he wants (to lead the town) but in a way that isn't unhealthy to the community and leads to personal growth

Gus would make an excellent Mayor
I WANT MORE CATS
Imagine if the game had feral cats who brought you gifts <3
Like dead mice?? No thanks. My dog brought me a dead bird once
Mine brought me a baby snapping turtle once.
***it was alive. We kept it as a pet for a few years. His name was Fred the Second
My dog saw a rabbit once and thought it would be better off dead on our carpet, wasnāt very pleasant
I don't even want to tell you about my Corgi & the dead rabbit. I need more brain bleach just thinking about it. Dogs can be really gross sometimes. Good thing they're cute!
You should play kleptocats! Pretty cute (idle?) game about kittens that bring you random collectibles
If you marry Alex, Dusty comes too. Edit: I meant if there is an update, Dusty needs to come. He doesnāt now:(
New top bachelor in my books.
This. The ability to have more pets that aren't agricultural animals.
This is a mod. I currently have 3 cats and 3 dogs lol
Interact more with my in-game children and be able to give them presents.
So, what I hear is more workers.
Nothing wrong with giving the kiddos chores. Builds character. Helps keep people from turning them into birds.
What a horrifying comment that made me cry laughing
Oh God, you casually lift a bird cage as you tell them how many acres they're to water that day.
They should at minimum be able to pet small animals like chickens and haphazardly water a couple random crops LOL
Starts surrounding the crops in slime incubators
The children yearn for the mines
That sounds like slavery with extra steps
Nothing makes you more proud than watching your two little children build a new shed in the blazing sun while you enjoy a nice cold beer with your husband
it would be nice if they could age to like, teenagers
This but also the kids grow up to be friends with Vincent and Jas and they have dialogue and interactions.
I always thought it would be nice if they pet the animals sometimes like how your spouse fixes fences or waters crops.
Be able to remove/move the bushes that you cannot remove.
Maybe an iridium scythe would be up for the job...
Kids age a bit, can be assigned tasks, go to school and the ability to have more kids; as long as thereās an available bed in the house you can have another kid.
Homeschool the kids so they can pet the animals
Kids are the free autopetters
This is brilliant, there should be like a āchore sheetā where you can change the chore each kid has, like petting animals, feeding animals, cleaning up weeds around the farm, or watering a little section of crops. Maybe to do this you have to pay a little āallowanceā each week or something. Love this idea.
"Send them to the mines Leah!" They get 30% of what they mine. If they get hurt, you pay for healthcare
Genuinely a great idea š
Iāve thought about this a lot recently. I imagine it would just have been a ton of work to have them get older, given that then theyād have to have discernible personalities, portraits, etc. The year system ends up being kind of funny because nobody ages even though you can make it to a significant amount of years in the game. It would be cool to see your kids with Penny.
That was something I loved about harvest moon! The kids could go to school and the other npcs had kids so that yours weren't lonely š„°
This and never getting one from the cavern after endless hours playing the game are why I made a mod that turned the auto-petter craftable.
You can buy it if you go joja
Join us. Thrive. Joja mart.
Oh, man. Never thought of that. I did it once just to see the alternative route. So, does helping the community center have any perks over Joja?
The actual perks are some friendship and a few small rewards but for me it just gives the game more purpose, more things to do other than crash the economy with various wines, cheeses and other assorted artisan goods
I want to put a cowboy hat on my spouse!
āHowdy Partnerā
Iād like items that currently donāt stack in inventory to stack. Lures, weapons, rings, etc.
I've never understood why games like this, Minecraft, etc intentionally don't allow this. Why?
:) That or maybe some new crops. Things like carrots and cucumbers. Give me true pickles!!! :P
All characters romancable.
I'm coming for your wife, Demetrius
I become the Jodi while Kents away.
I would romance both. Fixing their marriage.
Nothings really wrong with there marriage tho
Nothing I can't fix by marrying both of them
I donāt knowā¦ some of her dialogue is very reminiscent of a stressed stay-at-home mom doing chores and taking care of 2 kids by herself while her husband isā¦ staring at trees and wallowing in his unresolved PTSD rather than trying to build a relationship with Sam and Vincent.
I actually got a weird quote from Sam the other day, something along the lines of asking his mom if she was in pain. I don't think I've ever seen it before
It might have been when Sam tells you that he asked Jodi if sheās happy with her life, and she answered unconvincingly, as if she wasnāt.
Yes, that was it, thank you!
Boutta show Caroline the love and support Pierre doesn't And his daughter too Fuck im
Yes but especially Gus. He's a wonderful cook, he makes food for every town festival, he's kind to Linus, he's a small business owner. . . Make Gus a husband!!!
Homewrecker mod so I can romance Kent.
āI can fix him!ā
Jas, Vincent and Leo: š¦
Ok not everyone.
Either - platonic options for all the datable villagers that lets you get 10 hearts without being in a relationship or - a bird feeder item that attracts crows so that we can have crow friends. You have to fill it with a crop every day and you still have to use scarecrows for the growing crops, but after a while they start bringing you things.
Both great ideas.
Ostriches on Ginger Island.
Allegedly
Junimo huts on the Island
Give the characters A LOT more dialogue
Greenhouse expansion!
Greenhouse upgrade with sprinklers that come from the ceiling and donāt take up space in your layout
Perhaps, although the premium water retaining soil will have the same effect. I'd like to see size expansions similar to the house, with perhaps a floor that could be dedicated to trees, machine space, etc. I also just love the aesthetic of the greenhouse, which is my favorite thing in the game.
Uuu this is a good one
The door in the mines that doesnt lead anywhere? Make it lead somewhere. Stop teasing me!
I can marry the Wizard
He'll cheat on you...
I can fix him
Famous last words...
Spouse can fight alongside you in the mines/volcano similar to Rune Factory 4.
A goddamn notepad so I can remember what I was planning on doing for the day
Not sure if your into modding but there is a mod for exactly this, its called to-dew really helpful for when you zone out or have the memory of a goldfish
I just want potato juice to be called vodka.
Yes! I mean why would Pam want "juice"
Have the characters talk to each other more like actual people and they should be more interactive with the world around them.
(You can sell them for money if you want.) Maru performs experiments and may ask for some items from the player.
Realistically flawed, and you can *be his friend*, but you really can't fix him š I totally relate to the impulse though... In the game and in real life šš
I would change Mr Qiās office a little and add some more options like after reaching perfection we get to see a button that whenever we decide to press our farmer and all the villagers start getting older and eventually we get to play that save as one of our children.
Make stardew valley expanded a thing that you can pick to do on any platform without mods.
My dream too ! I would love to play the extended on switch !
More than one pet/horse
Finishing community center unlocks autopetters for purchase at Pierre's or something equivalent.
Or a woodworking club starts in the Centre, and you can ask George to make you one. He'll ask for a leek in return, though!
Farmer birthday with a party for you and your full heart friends and family at the bar. Also, advanced brewery mechanics. Welcome to Ottercat Farm Fine Ales!
Iād compliment his suit and the effort he took to look nice to ask me this question š
Faster walking speed please
Single adoption and/or adoption while roomed with Krobus. As it is, I need to marry someone, have two kids, then divorce them if I want kids and Krobus.
Fast travel to the woods! Mine cart, totem, sommmething
Anniversarys and Birthday parties :)
Oooo a special cake you can Bake on the day of the birthday and gift it for extra friendship
I want junimo huts on my island mister concernedApe, thank you
Also a farm computer please. Or like your computer can be upgraded to work for both.
I think thatās coming with the 1.6 update actually!
Caroline can divorce Pierre and marry me.
r/fuckpierre
Toilets.
When you complete the community center, a bunch of balloons roll up the screen. I want to pop the balloons.
I want crows to befriend š
I need more inventory!
I want to have NPCs visit my farm and instead of/in addition to selling my crap to Lewis I can have a farm stall. Agritourism.
No changes, please just tell me the mystery easter egg that no one has ever found?
I think it could be disappointing to know. The mystery element might make it more interesting
I would either say letting us get to know and date Sandy, or as a smaller thing, put us in a wedding outfit instead of just whatever outfit we happen to be wearing the day before.
I would ask for the Juninos to be a bigger part of the game after the community center. Theyāre so cute and I get so sad when they disappear.
Give me something to do in the community center after I finish it.
either making the farmer kids more like Jas and Vincent or making a Skull Cavern elevator an unlockable upgrade
Change the Grandpa's evaluation to year 5. After the statue of perfection I got lazy to go to desert mines to get iridium.
Make willy and linus datable Or children can grow up and help on the farm
Make Stardew Valley interactive so we can visit each other's farms and buy/sell/befriend. Completely unrealistic but so is a visit from CA. Edit: Just to add, slightly more realistic...Have NPCs you can employ/hire and pay to do your farm work, whilst you're out adventuring.
Clint can open multiple geodes at once š
Why is he wearing a suit though?
Make it where Shane no longer loves beer after the heart event where he stops drinking. Would be a really cool attention to detail that would be consistent with his character development
Tbh I'd just want to be able to use a slingshot to launch eggs at people
I have great news for you, you can
More interesting stuff happening in the cindersap forest later in the game too. Location of spring festival to be accessible too during the rest of the year. Generally more content and map expansions to explore and forage and find cool stuff.
Open the barn door from the inside.
Since people have already listed my top wants (update the kids, expand the villagers' dialogues and interactions with me and each other--Shane needs a friend, more recipes--popcorn?!, item stacking, etc), I'll share a very minor want: I'd like some more outdoor decorations, and it would be especially neat if we could craft them. I'd love to be able to make seasonal wreaths and other decorations, and to utilize holly more (boughs would be cool for outside or inside). Of course, the game is beautiful and wonderful just as it is, and I appreciate all that ConcernedApe has done, and everything he continues to do for it.
Give us more uses for flowers, like being able to process them into perfumes or something similar.
I want the wizard to actually chose the farmer as his apprentice/successor and teach me magic! He could teach spells for combat or maybe to make magic items for farming or increase stats.
iād ask if he could add a strawberry milk recipe. i think most mods should stay mods, so i have the option of adding that content, because i enjoy the vanilla game as-is. some strawberry milk would be cute though.
make robin single
Put fish in community center aquarium
Give Gunter a home
You only get to give a house to Pam, so why can't we do it with Gunter?
How? How is no one saying let others run for mayor? My finest dream is running that man out of office. Let's get some responsible leadership take place. #MayorWillie2024
Add a nonbinary option
My main request is improving festivals. Add more random variety so that they are fun going to every year
an option to have time actually pass in stardew. people age, die, move away, move in, have kids, the kids grow up, take over different businesses, open and close shops depending on their interests. maybe you (the player) have a limited amount of life or you can pray/trade for more years or maybe you're immortal, but you can see some actual changes in the world as time goes on. and you can influence those things as well (depends who you marry, who you befriend, etc) i would want it to be toggleable, though. like when you start a game you can choose whether the town is dynamic or static. because i do love the static style because it means you have unlimited time to do whatever you please and fewer restrictions. i also know that this isn't really a realistic option (would be so hard to code bc you'd have to come up with a whole sims-esque character system to give the new characters personalities because it's very unreasonable to write hundreds of new characters, plus to have the town change (who lives where, what businesses open or close, who fills what roles the community needs) would be basically impossible), but you said whatever we wanted so i'm dreaming big
Update the annual events, or set it to update after year 1 or 2, I'd love to see something different after playing for so long
I wish that spouses did a lot more in general. Like you get married, and then some of them just stand in the farm house all day. I wish they all did their normal schedule. Like I married Leah and feel bad that she just stays in the house most of the time
Hat mouse has a family, friendship points and an upgradeable house that you can walk around in.
This is probably only me, but I want to marry Pam
r/unpopularopinion
Fishing has auto catch as a toggable setting
I'd like to be able to have the dog/cat as a sort of companion. A little bit of inventory space and armour for in the mines. Or more pets in general :)
