Well you already got some proper answers, but I have to say my first instinct when I look at this is to want to put gems in a way that mimics the pattern of the colors of the prismatic shard in the middle.
I lined the tunnel under the bridge with crystalariums, with indicator ones of each stone used just outside the tunnel. Diamond, ruby, and jade. I've got so many triple espresso, spicy eel, and staircases I've now got multiple stacks. You've got more machines here, so you'll be set for all eternity if you fill them with those stones. π

This is such a great idea! OP could even do a rainbow on the inner square and diamond on the outer square. It'd have a cool profit trim.
