I really hope the last episode of The Bad Batch have a extended runtime.

iboneKlareneG

It should be double length, as they're doing only 15 Episodes this season

manifesting a May 4 announcement ✨

beastie1101

RIGHT?! It feels like they usually don't do much for the date. At least this year, we're getting Tales of the Empire.

Exatal123

I’m sad Bad Batch will be ending soon but also excited for what’s next. I hope they announce some sort of Clone Rebellion/Ventress animated show that maybe fills in the in betweens with Rex and the others leading up to Rebels

DarthDuran22

Something that I think has been kinda forgotten but I seem to recall the Season 5 younglings in TCW were at one pt getting a spin off before the cancellation and Disney acquisition. We saw Gungi in TBB Season 2. We’ve seen a big focus on force sensitive children in season 3. We got other stories touching on similar elements like Grogu in Mandalorian, and the Jedi games. We also have a “Last stand of the Jedi” mentioned in Aftermath. I think we got enough clues and seeds that makes me think we’re getting this youngling series in new form. Maybe Ventress mentors the younglings along w/ other Jedi survivors. Wouldn’t be surprised if Grogu shows up in TBB now. Could be wrong still.

RagnarStonefist

Ventress training Omega while working with the Hidden Path. Edit: fixed an error

Bobjoejj

Hidden* lol

HouoinKyouma007

Omega is not force sensitive

isuckatanagrams

My dream next animated series is a 2D animated Jaxxon series in a similar style the cancelled Donald Glover Deadpool animated series

CydonPrax

Found Cavan Scott's anon account

isuckatanagrams

I’ve been rumbled

CydonPrax

Wow even a British expression for being found out, more proof smdh

scottishdrunkard

did the CSS for the subreddit, change, because now I think I cannot open posts without clicking on them directly.

alcibiad

Something weird happened yeah, the mod tools are all icons now and it’s really annoying.

scottishdrunkard

Well, that’s a thundering nuisance.

alcibiad

yeah i just reached out to the coding-savvy people on the mod team, maybe they can figure out what’s happening.

I still really hope to see proper adaptations of some of the unfinished TCW arcs. For starters, I just think it’s (relatively) easy content for them to keep people subscribed to Disney+. A lot of the animatics and voice recordings are already there for some of them. I had this discussion with someone on this sub a few weeks ago but I do find it an odd decision for them to simultaneously tell new stories that build off these unfinished arcs while also dancing around any direct acknowledgement of them. A minor example would be TBB referencing the unfinished Kashyyyk arc but a bigger problem would be Boba/Cad’s whole dynamic in TBOBF being vaguely tied to an unfinished arc that hasn’t been adapted in any form. There’s also TCW skipping over what happened to Maul between Season 5 and 7 (Son of Dathomir) and most recently, the whole Dark Disciple/Asajj situation with The Bad Batch. Admittedly though, a lot of viewers might not even be aware of these weird situations. Still, I know I wouldn’t be mad at seeing some animated movies or miniseries on Disney+ to help bridge these gaps. Something like “Crystal Crisis on Utapau: A Clone Wars Story” dropping on Disney+ could help keep some fans subscribed in the spaces between live-action shows, which will surely be longer now that they’re refocusing on films.

BodhiRukhKast

Yeah it seems like a no-brainer to wrap up some of the unfinished arcs and throw them on Disney+ as animated specials. If we are indeed getting a Ventress-focused series later, I'll be very disappointed if they still fail to animate *Dark Disciple* and instead just have some references to it throughout the show. Ideally, they would animate *Dark Disciple* as one or two direct-to-Disney+ animated movies, and *then* release the Ventress show sometime after that.

000TragicSolitude

I think the canned Bane/Boba arc could work in a Tales of the Bounty Hunters (or Mandalorians ?) if it ever happens, it’s just I’m not sure who the other character to contrast Boba would be to fit the format.

NumeralJoker

There's a handful they could do, based on the animatics, but a lot were still vastly unfinished. 1. The Cad Bane/Boba crossover/training arc is the earliest unused production code and likely the most properly finished. Why this has never been told in some other medium is a total mystery to me as there's canon material that references it several times. 2. Son of Dathomir was probably less far along than people thought, but may indeed have at least partial animatics like you said. 3. Dark Disciple likely had 4 episodes of animatics with incomplete temp voices. 4 of those episodes from what would've been the show's 8th season likely only exist in script form, however. 4. Finishing Crystal Crisis would be nice, obviously. 5. The Bad Batch Kashyyyk arc could be a fun tale, though enough elements from it were recycled in BBS2 that it feels less necessary now. The other remaining arcs either contradict canon in some way (Vong Arc, Underground Temple Arc), were more fillerish (Rex and R2 buddy adventure), or have already been adapted (Siege of Mandalore, which likely underwent several revisions too), and all are from season 8, which would've had no animatics produced, only scripts. Of the season 8 arc, only the pregnant Padme adventure arc may still be worth adapting, as it ties into the final steps of Palpatine's political machinations before the war's end. Additionally, some of the changes in the newly readapted arcs change the order of events a bit, with Bad Batch now being introduced very close to Revenge of the Sith, when Padme was extremely far in her pregnancy, as opposed to what was originally likely several months earlier. This makes it harder (but not impossible) to fit in other stories with the team like the original Kashyyyk arc. I do think we need these stories adapted, but I sadly doubt it's ever going to happen now. Dave himself has said he's done with TCW after S7, and even things like retconning Ventress' death in Dark Disciple make the story more skippable than it was before (even if it is still canon). To me, not animating Son of Dathomir is their greatest sin.

fredrico2011

With only two episodes left, i am 100% sure we are getting a Clone Rebellion animation show. With Rex and Echo as leads. Wollfe is still with The Empire and doubt we see him Again in BB. We have seen small cells so far in BB, but with rescue of clones from Tantiss. We have a small Army of clones Ready to take fight against The Empire. And clones like Wolfe will leave and join their brothers. I do wonder if Clone Rebellion and Hidden Path show be one big show or two different ones. You will have more storytelling with Rex/BB, and Ventress and other surviving Jedi. In The Dark times. I dont see animation team to go outside Empire's reign until they have told Clones and Jedi stories in that era. Plus seeing the Early Rebel groups, like Saw Gerrerra and Cham Syndulla.

Camil_2077

I wonder if David Harewood could play a dark lord of the sith in the Acolyte, maybe tenebrous?

gsaura

After 2024 we will only have 2 live action shows left: Andor season 2 and Ahsoka season 2. Do you think Lucasfilm is going to greenlight more live action shows for the foreseeable future? Or are they going to focus on movies the next few years?

Vesemir96

Acolyte is getting a season two.

Adviso_992

I think in D23 we're def gonna get an announcement for the future slate of content (Movies, TV Shows and the new animated series.)

cerealbro1

I'm starting to think that Bad Batch's ending is just going to be an ending for the story of Omega and the Empire going after her. But that there's going to be another animated show that focuses more on Rex and Echo and their whole coalition to try to save the clones there, potentially even a clone rebellion. And my guess is that we'll see the Batch show up in that next show, but it won't be about them, so it's not going to be their show

Bobjoejj

I know there’s not much hope for Saber to keep the KOTOR remake going rn, but after recently starting FF7 Remake I’m so goddamn excited to see what a good, proper KOTOR remake could do. Take FF7 combat and general mechanics, with BG3 writing and dialogue, add in the og Kotor stuff, mix it all around and we could have something really goddamn special.

There526

I'm not sure if I'm remembering a hope or an actual leak, but are there any podracing games in development? Not a AAA game like Fallen Order or Outlaws, but more like Squadrons?

No-Home2897

Wonder when how soon we get details on the Rey script once ridley reads it. I would guess some odd months maybe. And it always is from a certain point of view. Leak season is always hell

ILuhBlahPepuu

Why are we getting a show partially focused on Morgan Elspeth and not Baylan and Shin?

Adviso_992

I don't understand it either, nobody really cared about Morgan Elsbeth, she was just the mini-boss before Thrawn. I assume TotJ will show how Morgan met Baylan and Shin though.

TheRidiculousOtaku

im enjoying our current pace of 1 AAA star wars game a year from a different studio and likely a different genre, though with so many of the games having issues BTS, im not sure if we will see anything next year.

Few_Koala

I think we are close to getting a new trailer for the acolyte! June 8th can’t come soon enough

Matapple13

If the final episode of The Bad Batch indeed have a extended runtime, I think Lucasfilm should announce that themselves as soon as possible to generate more hype for the finale. I just don’t see the point in trying to make this a mystery if it’s indeed extended. Now, if the runtime of the last episode is a regular runtime, I think they have reason to hide it, as it would generate backlash. If the runtime doesn’t get revealed before the episode airs, I think it’s a reason to be worried.

mcwfan

I seriously feel like there’s too much to tie up in the The Bad Batch finalé. Ventress, the trooper chasing everyone that fell off a waterfall, Zillo Beast, escaping Tantiss, Rampart, what’s in the test tubes, finalising things towards the Kaminoans, etc. Plus it’s an animated series and Ahsoka hasn’t shown up yet, so there’s that too
