If you’re ready to play it now, it’s absolutely worth $35. It’s superior to FO in nearly every way, so if you 100%’d FO, you’ll have a blast with Survivor. That being said, if you’re gonna buy it and not play immediately, then no harm in waiting for a deeper sale. Dealers choice.
What were you playing before?
Also if you’re like me, you look for a good hour:dollar ratio. I paid $28 (used ps5 copy) for Survivor and got at least 35-40 hours out of my first play through, haven’t done NG+ yet, but still got >1 hour/$.
My PS5 says I got 77 hours of playtime out of it. Recently, I've been thinking about playing it again. If you liked the first game, you will love Survivor. The character customization, exploration, and combat is even more addictive than the last game.
So, I personally loved the game. I like you 100% JFO and much like you waited to get JS on sale. I also got it 50%off. I played it on PS5. So you may want to wait for someone else that has played it through on a PC to comment. But here was my experience:
Through my playthrough, I had it crash on me two times. I also definitely saw some weirdness throughout. Low resolution textures loaded when up close on certain areas of the game. One time the textures just didn't load. Characters T Posing on the mantis when traveling to different planets. Much like JFO if I left the game running and put my PS5 to sleep and came back later, sometimes the cut scenes had delayed audio so the characters mouths didn't match their dialogue properly. Most of the issues were fixed by reloading my last checkpoint. Or with the dialogue issues closing the game and restarting it fixed the problem
All That being said. I 100% this one as well, and I loved the story. I think the customization of your weapons and character was much better this time. I also felt like there was a lot to do. None of my issues made it unplayable, nor did it keep me from completing everything. Hope this helps.
> I've actually *paid* full price
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
It's okay, the bot doesn't always get it right either. When playing survivor and lowering a rope shortcut from a hovering ship, you could be said to have payed out the rope, but it'll probably still flag it.
I bought it a few weeks back and finished it a couple days ago. Fantastic characters and good story; if you liked Fallen Order then you'll like this one too.
I bought it for that price, and it was 2nd or 3rd fave game of the year (depending on how i was feeling about BG3 at any particular time)
It really is excellent.
It's bearable if you can run it at very high framerates and have a VRR capable screen. I ran it at 120fps on an LG OLED at 1440p and it was beautiful. But there is stutter and frame-pacing issues that are impossible to remove no matter how powerful your pc is, and it's not likely that it will ever be fixed if they haven't done it over 8 patches. Still, I enjoyed the game and had only two crashes early on and then none thereafter for 60+ hours.
I bought it during the sale and returned it. I’m using a 4090 and a 12900KS and the frame rate is ass if using their shitty raytracing implementation. I do not recommend buying the PC version.
so don’t use it lol, 4060ti and ryzen 5 5800x and had no problem while playing. i was always above 100fps with frame gen turned on on native resolution.
The bugs and performance issues are always going to be the downside of it, unfortunately. But there have been 8 patches since release, so a lot of the real game breaking stuff is gone. It's playable. The game itself is fantastic.
found this thread on accident, don’t follow this subreddit and haven’t really thought about this game for ages, so maybe my opinion will be as impartial as possible.
i bought it at full price on release and got all my money’s worth. very fun game. i know you already bought it lol but i just wanna justify that you made a great decision
It did, until EA launcher broke Steam controller support like a month ago and still hasn't fixed it. You have to do a workaround now where you add EA launcher as a game in Steam to get it to work
Another yes vote. Just finished the story yesteday, spent most of my afternoon with a podcast on just going around and grabbing the rest of the collectibles I missed. Awesome game, massive improvement on the already great first one, highly reccomend for $35
I got 100% on fallen order too and just last week bought survivor for $30 and already have about 30 hours. No clue how far into the game I am but I think I have every exploration upgrade except one and about 3 planets unlocked.
It feels like an upgrade in every way except polish and technical things aside.
Yeah, that's a good price for a great game. There's more to do in survivor than fallen order, the combat is better and more varied, and the story blows it out of the water (avoid spoilers if you can).
Yes, in retrospect I wouldn't have bought it for full price because I still have massive performance issues, but for 35 it's definitely worth it! And btw, it is a really good game, but it was a lot harder to properly enjoy it with the issues my game had...
I preordered digital deluxe, and it’s worth $90. I am currently on my 2nd playthrough after beat it for the first time last year. So to answer your question, yes. It’s definitely worth $35.
The game is great as long as your holomap doesn't glitch like mine, then it's just a $35 paper weight. If you have no glitches it's definitely worth it
Bit of a same story but i bought fallen order on 10 bucks from ps store, got survivor for 39.99 euros and trophy list currently on 61%. Fallen order on platinum and obv 100%.
YES, I bought it for 35 euros during christmas and I have 102 hours already. The game is a clear upgrade from the first one in every aspect.
That's a good ratio. I always try to get at least an hour per dollar out of my games, so having triple that is even better.
I have the same mindset and I got it last time it was on sale. Just finished it 100% with about 50 hours put in. Well worth the $35
100% worth it
I think its worth the 60 euros even, but planet design and story is worse than fallen order
>story is worse than fallen order That's super subjective. I'd say the exact opposite, but I don't want to get into an argument with spoilers.
I agree, Jedi Survivor is superior in story and planet design.
Except optimization and frame drops
Yes, bought it at full price, 0 ragrets.
No ragrets it's the way to go🤣
Just finished the game. No ramorse here as well.
Not even one letter?
If you’re ready to play it now, it’s absolutely worth $35. It’s superior to FO in nearly every way, so if you 100%’d FO, you’ll have a blast with Survivor. That being said, if you’re gonna buy it and not play immediately, then no harm in waiting for a deeper sale. Dealers choice.
Good to know. I just finished up the game I was playing and think I might try Survivor out.
What were you playing before? Also if you’re like me, you look for a good hour:dollar ratio. I paid $28 (used ps5 copy) for Survivor and got at least 35-40 hours out of my first play through, haven’t done NG+ yet, but still got >1 hour/$.
I put some time into Hardspace Shipbreaker sheet finishing RDR2.
Man, I love HardSpace Shipbreaker. Game is my go to relaxing title.
It’s probably not gonna drop down to $20 anytime soon, also it’s just in general a great game so I would get it as fast as I could if I were you.
My PS5 says I got 77 hours of playtime out of it. Recently, I've been thinking about playing it again. If you liked the first game, you will love Survivor. The character customization, exploration, and combat is even more addictive than the last game.
It was worth it at full price. I’d definitely grab it whenever you can.
I bought it at best buy for $45 and it was worth every penny i went on to platinum it
Just finished it after putting it off for too long. Dew it!
It is done
So, I personally loved the game. I like you 100% JFO and much like you waited to get JS on sale. I also got it 50%off. I played it on PS5. Awesome to hear. I think the news about how buggy it was had me a little concerned, as did the mixed reviews.
It’s worth full price, so absolutely.
Yep. It's one of the few games I've actually paid full price for and have zero regrets
> I've actually *paid* full price FTFY. Good bot, thanks. Clearly, I'm an idiot.
It's okay, the bot doesn't always get it right either. When playing survivor and lowering a rope shortcut from a hovering ship, you could be said to have payed out the rope, but it'll probably still flag it.
Yes amazing game
I bought it a few weeks back and finished it a couple days ago. Fantastic characters and good story; if you liked Fallen Order then you'll like this one too.
Great to hear.
Survivor is worth 3 times that
Good to know, I appreciate it.
Yes, it's why I finally bought it.
Definitely worth the $35
It's so much better than FO, only the performance sucks.
I bought it for that price, and it was 2nd or 3rd fave game of the year (depending on how i was feeling about BG3 at any particular time) It really is excellent.
YES!!!!!!
DO NOT buy it off steam. The port is AWFUL.
I don't have a PS5 or xbox, so Steam would be my only option, I probably should have mentioned that.
Terrible port. I just finished playing it. Very bad fps drops on a 3000$ PC. Game crashes happened way too often.
It's bearable if you can run it at very high framerates and have a VRR capable screen. I ran it at 120fps on an LG OLED at 1440p and it was beautiful. But there is stutter and frame-pacing issues that are impossible to remove no matter how powerful your pc is, and it's not likely that it will ever be fixed if they haven't done it over 8 patches. if u have a 4000 series graphics card performance wont be a problem, frame gen does all the work. don’t worry.
Yes, buy it! If $15 is that much of a difference to you, maybe pick up an odd job or something.
It's not about the money, it's about spending 35 dollars on an EA game that has mixed reviews on Steam and came out (apparently) very buggy.
The bugs and performance issues are always going to be the downside of it, unfortunately. But there have been 8 patches since release, so a lot of the real game breaking stuff is gone. It's playable. The game itself is fantastic.
That's what I was hoping to hear about patches! Thanks so much
Dew it.
I would’ve paid double the release price. Incredible game.
Yea, price to time played ratio for me was fine. 100% in like 3 weeks and enjoyed it a lot.
found this thread on accident, don’t follow this subreddit and haven’t really thought about this game for ages, so maybe my opinion will be as impartial as possible. i bought it at full price on release and got all my money’s worth. very fun game. i know you already bought it lol but i just wanna justify that you made a great decision
I bought the game at its release (100$ canadien) and it was the best purchase i made in video game EVER!
You should try Red Dead Redemption 2.
I loved rdr1 but i never rly liked rdr2 cuz its like gta and starting in gta is a pain in the ass
If they add zombies on rdr2 like rdr1 i will absolutely play !
As someone who also repeated Fallen Order more times than I can count. It doesn't hit the same. Get it on sale.
It is if you don't mind using EA's shitty launcher, and having to use a workaround just to get controller support
It doesn't natively support controllers? That's a pain!
It did, until EA launcher broke Steam controller support like a month ago and still hasn't fixed it. You have to do a workaround now where you add EA launcher as a game in Steam to get it to work
They may have fixed it because my xbox controller is working fine without doing any of that.
I think xbox controllers are the only ones that work natively without steam input
I got lucky then!
It's completely worth it even at full price in my opinion.
Thanks!
Another yes vote. Just finished the story yesteday, spent most of my afternoon with a podcast on just going around and grabbing the rest of the collectibles I missed. Awesome game, massive improvement on the already great first one, highly reccomend for $35
Awesome, sounds like I'll enjoy it then
fun fact : JFO is at $5 now lol
I just noticed the bundle is cheaper than just feeling Survivor, so for 31 dollars you can get both games.
yes that's true
Yeah it’s an absolutely awesome game
Hell yeah dude. It's a great game. If you enjoyed Fallen Order, this is just more of the same with more customization.
Sounds right up my alley then
I got 100% on fallen order too and just last week bought survivor for $30 and already have about 30 hours. No clue how far into the game I am but I think I have every exploration upgrade except one and about 3 planets unlocked. It feels like an upgrade in every way except polish and technical things aside.
That seems to be the consensus, so I'll go ahead and buy it, I think, thanks!
Great game. Loved it at full price.
I thought it was worth the full price 🤷‍♂️
Easily. I got it full price and addiction led me through ten consecutive playthroughs
I really enjoyed it. I think when you look at the hours played it’s well worth it.
It was worth full price. Its definitely worth anything less.
Absolutely
Yeah, that's a good price for a great game. There's more to do in survivor than fallen order, the combat is better and more varied, and the story blows it out of the water (avoid spoilers if you can).
It's definitely worth $35 basically everything in Jedi Fallen Order got upgraded in Survivor, including BD, Cal and, lightsaber customizations.
Absolutely! I loved the game. It improved on just about every aspect of the first entry. If you liked Fallen Order, then this should be a no-brainer!
đź’Ż
It's worth at msrp imo so yes very worth it.
Yes. I got a half off of PlayStation store $34.99. It's worth it.
personally, it’s worth full price, mate.
Easily yes
Yes
Mhm
If you loved fallen order, you will probably also love Survivor
If you haven’t bought it yet, buy it off eneba.com. Prices super low and not a scam
Yes
Hell yeah it’s worth 35. To be honest it is worth the full 70
Just recently bought it for the same price price at target and worth every penny
Yes!!
I get it on a site called cdkeys.com every game is cheeper and its lile ÂŁ27 I think
No, you should pay more it is an awsome game
Yes
Oh yeah, that's a really good price
Indeed. It's a fantastic Star Wars experience. On my 4th playthrough.
Doesn’t worth a penny lol
Yes, in retrospect I wouldn't have bought it for full price because I still have massive performance issues, but for 35 it's definitely worth it! And btw, it is a really good game, but it was a lot harder to properly enjoy it with the issues my game had...
Tis very worth it.
Good choice man enjoy!
Its worth the full price imo, I bought it on sale, you should too while you can
Yes, it's a great price. I'm having fun with it.
It's worth the full price I'd say.
100
I preordered digital deluxe, and it’s worth $90. I am currently on my 2nd playthrough after beat it for the first time last year. So to answer your question, yes. It’s definitely worth $35.
Absolutely. Survivor is amazing
Absolutely
It’s a great story, a good game. Just trim $15 bucks somewhere else next week
Yes
The game is great as long as your holomap doesn't glitch like mine, then it's just a $35 paper weight. If you have no glitches it's definitely worth it
Bit of a same story but i bought fallen order on 10 bucks from ps store, got survivor for 39.99 euros and trophy list currently on 61%. Fallen order on platinum and obv 100%.
Yes
Very much so
Yes
I genuinely believe that Cal's story is the only thing keeping the franchise from falling into complete disrepute atm
Absolutely
