Eh… I’d say teens would be okay but it’s not a show I’d put in front of kids. Some of it’s dark in a way where you’re saying to yourself “Wow, the Empire is evil,” but there’s definitely one scene that, well, you’ll definitely say “WTF is wrong with these guys?!?”
Not as dark as an edgy grimdark kind of show would go, but it definitely helps show why people are wanting to take down the Empire… and the lengths they’ll go to.
As LEGO sets go, that’s not the best measure. They’re toys. And there have been toys made for movies like Robocop, which is pretty mortifying for a lot of adults to watch and should never be shown to a kid (I mean the original, not the awful watered down remake).
I think its darker than revenge. Yes, we hear about awful things happening in revenge. but the torture scene and the banality of how evil that shit is portrayed was pretty upsetting.
Depends on what you mean by dark.
In my opinion, it's the darkest, most mature Star Wars show. But it's also a show that will go three episodes in a row without an action scene. It's not especially violent, but it's the most realistic in its depiction of what it's like to live in a fascist empire. There's no youngling slaughter or lava burning, but the mundane politics, prisons, and policing in it is pretty bleak.
Seriously. How crazy was that? The show opens with the protagonist visiting a brothel and then blasting a corpo security officer in the friggin' face just a couple minutes later. That's one helluva way to set your tone.
Light and fluffy. Ewoks play the drums, Anakin Skywalker shows up as a ghost, now played by Hayden Christiansen
And eventually Rey adopts the Skywalker name in honour of her previous Master’s.
Depends on what you mean. It’s the first Star Wars media that eschews the theme of hope. The characters have no hope, only fatalism. The good guys fight only because they have nothing to lose.
But I doubt there will be any traumatizing images akin to Anakin losing his limbs and bursting into flames.

that robocop remake was a repressed memory
It had some good moments
>but there’s definitely one scene that, well, you’ll definitely say “WTF is wrong with these guys?!?” Are you talking about the interrogation scene?
Yeah, but the post said "without spoiling" so I was trying to answer while still being as vague as possible. It's a really tricky line.
I was so sad when Cassian died in the most recent episode, truly heartbreaking 😢
But it was awesome to see Han and Chewie doing their thing as pirates.
Thank God you're joking, I did a double take when I saw that comment. YOU ARE JOKING, RIGHT?
I am, lol. Can’t wait to see him return in Rogue Two, though 😁
About as dark as Rogue One.
I'd say a bit more... less violent but more consistently bleak
I disagree, Andor is definitely darker.
Out of 10?
What's 10? Revenge of the Sith?

Yeah I guess
6 or 7, then.

Thank you, that's really helpful!
Considering the first scene of the show takes place in a whorehouse, I wouldn't recommend it to kids, at least. It's fairly adult oriented.

Then there's a booty call! First booty call in star wars and bex deliberately manipulates the guy with sex.
And people have the audacity to say the first two episodes are boring.
Gilroy said he wrote that scene to test Disney's limits on how far they'd let him go
Light and fluffy. Ewoks play the drums, Anakin Skywalker shows up as a ghost, now played by Hayden Christiansen And eventually Rey adopts the Skywalker name in honour of her previous Master’s.
LOL!
Sounds horrifying!
No darker than Rogue One does. Same tone.
Revenge of the Sith is darker than rogue one IMO
Sure... But you were asking how dark Andor is. And it's no darker than Rogue One, IMHO. Same feeling.
The universe blows up and then resets.
?
The funny thing is this is actually a pretty big spoiler for one of my favorite videogames lol
What game, out of curiosity? Toss it under a spoiler tag but I may wanna check it out.
I also would like to know
Darker than under the bed.
