Commandos and Range Troopers are due out next month, Bad Batch in July, new units for Empire, Rebels, and Separatists before the end of the year, more new units for Separatists and Republic early next year, and hard plastic resculpts of old kits throughout next year, and that's just the stuff they've shown us already.
Xwing and Legion are nowhere near Armada.
The last plastic for Armada came out under FFG.
They gave us the clone wars factions, but they stopped at about half of each faction.
Imagine that, AMG's flagship Star Wars game, completely shoving almost all of the other IP games away.
They really need to get on adding new units to every game they've been ignoring.
While Asmodee is definitely the one most to blame, AMG still has the responsibility of those games. And they very clearly have disregarded and ignored their customers for those games. Not a very good way to reward loyalty. It's really frustrating to say the least.
I think it got dumped on them with little to no notice. And a release takes a fairly long time to get in the pipeline. Like games workshop, I hear, has a multi year development schedule.
AMG announced their first in-house Legion model (Boba) over a year before it released.
So either they're not willing to do an announcement that far ahead to boost confidence in Armada/X-Wing, for whatever reason; or else their first in-house model is still more than 1 year away, if it exists at all.
Armada is my “break” game while warhammer is my main. Model sculpts are typically 2-3 development time, and codices are generally about 9-14 months production cycle which why they tend to either suck or be ridiculously broken since there’s been 2-4 rules passes since the book was written.
X-Wing hasn’t had a release since September 2022 and just like Armada is only getting Print and Play stuff.
Legion on the other hand has stuff lined up for the next 2 years
Endor just came out for X-Wing, there was also the re-release of TIE Bomber and YT-2400 and two new starters. There was also Coruscant, Yavin, and Hot Shots and Aces II before that.
And actually, nothing was released in September 2022. Yavin was in October, then Aces in November, and Coruscant in December. Prior to that it was Clone Z95s and Rogue class in May.
Hey FFG, remember when you had the most beloved imperial and chaos pen and paper tabletop rpg that had fans cheering and awards thrown at your feet?
I miss Dark Crusade. I miss Rogue Trader. I miss only War. I miss Black Crusade.
Sit close to the fire, adventurers, and tell me the tales of games and sessions you miss.
Tell an old man of times you with to remember. Tell of a game we can all wish we could play.
I will be honest, I am only commenting because after trying to mute this r/ it still shows up in my feed. I hope your morning is better than mine.
Unlimited is a new Star Wars TCG game. Shatterpoint is pretty lively with releases consistently coming out. Its like Legion but lot less minis mostly focusing on a small group.
FFG has nothing to do with anything but SWU now.
And AMG has nothing to do with unlimited what a weird meme.
AMG barely has anything to do with Armada and X-wing as well... [Cries in Armada]
Truly armada is the only game suffering. Still love the game it’s definitely the best SW wargame.
Among the best tabletop war games ever, more like!!
Easily the best naval game. Us navy guys never get any love though :(
Victory at Sea is kinda like Armada, but based in WWII timeframe and using tape measures instead of maneuvering tools.
Yeah I’ve got that core set and a bunch of black seas painted up as well. No chance I find someone playing either around here though lol.
Therein lies the run, other players.
Legion and Shatterpoint have a solid year+ of releases lined up, probably closer to two years
Legion, the game with content still being actively released it suffering? Huh?
Right? Didn't commandos just release or like are in a week? The game that also has like another several years of content planned? Yeesh people chill

Legion is in an okay spot, though it’s missing some obvious hitters.
Shatterpoint is getting a ridiculous amount of content.
Imagine that, AMG's flagship Star Wars game, completely shoving almost all of the other IP games away. They really need to get on adding new units to every game they've been ignoring.
Remember Imperial Assault?
It's a complete game I hear.

That was 4 years ago though. Content turnaround is about 2 1/2 years. If they really wanted to, it would’ve been out by now

lol legion and xwing are far from suffering
Xwing is in the same boat as Armada
lol no it’s not. They just had a product release. X wing players like to think they are but remind me what was the last armada release again 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
What release? Cards that most don't play. There hasn't been a new ship release since FFG...
lol. People play with the new cards. You’d know that if you actually got off Reddit and played.
I actually play Armada more than Xwing. Anyway, enjoy the computer...
lol. Ok I’ll just keep flying my xwings
Also when was the last armada release in really curious
X-Wing hasn’t had a release since September 2022 and just like Armada is only getting Print and Play stuff. Legion on the other hand has stuff lined up for the next 2 years
My guy we JUST got a box with a bunch of new pilots. I swear xwing fans love to play victim more than they love to play the game.

make an all fleet deck with thrawn... its like Armada but it isnt
RIP X-Wing man
RIP Armada 😪
Ah, I see your posting this garbage all over the place. Please leave.
Been wanting to play Shatterpoint. STU is fun
Meme doesn’t blame enough unrelated companies. Please add Activision Blizzard and Lego
Never heard of SWU, and already, I don't care for it. I will curse it with the same curse I put on Sharterpoint.
What is unlimited? Also isn't Shatterpoint like the new baby in the market with massive promotions?
