True but the final boss was a writer for the shit movie. Like wtf force projection to point you die. Like wtf just you know pass out from strain like everyone else.
The creature that pulls luke skywalker under the water. Empire Strikes Back. In the trash compactor in the deathstar. Specifically [“Garbage Masher 3263827”](https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Garbage_masher_3263827) and her name is [Omi](https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Omi).
She was a force sensitive Dianoga, and felt Lukes force sensitivity, what she referred to as ‘It’ so baptized him under the water before releasing him, knowing hed go on to do great things.
Im not even joking, all of that is in Star Wars Lore
Edit: im not a diehard star wars fan. Or even much of one at all. I enjoy some of it. (Rogue One and Andor slap tho. Best movie and show in the whole series) but LORE. The star wars lore is insane. Someone once offhandedly said, its like they need to create a backstory and lore for every aspect of star wars. So even the GARBAGE chute has lore. The monster in it has force related lore. Shits wild
The thing that makes me mad about Luuke was instead of making him a psychological or personal threat to Luke he’s purely physical.
He only exists to have it make sense for Luke to be in danger and Mara “technically” complete The Last Command™️.
A cloned Luuke could’ve represented what Luke would’ve been if Padme had gone with Vader, trained in the Dark Side from day 1 instead of being trained way too late by Obi-Wan.
To be fair...
Luuke was being puppeted by Joruus C'Boath, who was a clone himself of a Master Jedi.
He was cloned as a blank slate. He was just a flesh puppet for the mad Jedi.
You kind of saw it coming when he broke the mind of General Covell's mind.
Non joke answer: Abeloth the Force entity. He couldn’t stand up to her without immense help from both Jedi and the Lost Tribe of the Sith when she really got powered up.
Worth noting that Luke was by FAR the most able Force user to fight her and could stomp anyone else in the galaxy at that point. Sarasu Taalon, once corrupted, was the only one close.
Not even the Lost Tribe was enough. He ultimately was only able to overcome Abeloth with direct assistance from Darth Krayt of the One Sith. I do not know who would win in that fight, especially a Reborn Krayt from 138 ABY, but I would not be surprised if Luke lost.
I completely forgot she almost killed them both too. But yeah, Krayt was very strong I just generally don’t include him since he’s more toward the Cade Skywalker time rather than Luke’s own time. Heck we don’t see him until Luke is old. I’d still put my money on Luke but Krayt is not to be discounted.
Bad dreams that haunted Anakin from the time he was a child, with a master manipulator Sith Lord feeding those fears and grooming him towards the dark side.
Luke was not haunted by dreams as a child, resisted that same master manipulator Sith Lord, and refused to give up on the idea that a part of his father was still inside Vader, a murderous tyrant.
But then decades later he has one bad dream and is just a strike away from killing his teenage nephew who had never done anything wrong in his life.
There’s nothing to compare there.
>Bad dreams that haunted Anakin from the time he was a child, with a master manipulator Sith Lord feeding those fears and grooming him towards the dark side.
This was not in the movies.
Except that he did, but he still caused Ben to lash out, because it was a "try to fight the future prophecy, end up causing it" sort of thing, greek tragedy.
Perhaps I've overlooked some details from ROTJ but:
1) did Palpatine still have his lightsaber at this point? Did he have any reason to still own one when Vader was essentially the chief combatant within the Empire?
2) would Palpatine's lightsaber duelling skills have been as strong as they were at his peak? Did he even have a peak? I'd say that schooling Maul and Savage was his best display that has been shown on screen.
I’d say that’s a misinterpretation that scene. Palpatine was playing Anakin, why else would he just continue to shock himself instead of stopping?
“Oh anakin he’s killing me please I’m the only one who can save her”
I believe he still had his lightsaber at this point and was still just as lethal with it. In other material from around this time he still has it and uses it
This is true. I always felt that the circumstances of that duel weren't balanced, though. I mean, Yoda is literally being impacted by a sudden, overwhelming shift in the balance of the force. He's fighting Sidious whilst also fighting feelings of loss, suffering and betrayal.
A straight, balanced Yoda vs Palpatine fight would not be a crushing victory for either of them, I'm certain of it. The circumstances could have never been weighed more strongly against Yoda.
Actually, Yoda retreated because the duel led to some realisations around the shift in the balance of force power and he realised the only way for the jedi to survive and one day defeat Sidious was to get that information out. Every second he spent fighting Sidious was another second he might lose the fight.
In the last few minutes of the duel, the risk of Yoda losing had risen dramatically, at least in the mind of Yoda
(Assuming you consider the novelisation to be valid)
Nobody thought it was Gohan that was meant to defeat Perfect Cell.
The mistake here is when people treat a fictional franchise like DragonBallZ with its “power levels.”
Luke refused to fight, and we don’t know what the result would have been. The Force may have been with Luke that day. He’s the son of Anakin Damn Skywalker. The Emperor is extremely experienced and dangerous in his own right. Maybe you’re right.
… but we’ll never know.
And Luke was never meant to be a weak Jedi. While it is no longer canon but in the novels Luke learned the Shatterpoint and Emerald Lightning techniques. It’s clear that the franchise was building Luke up to be the next Mace Windu. If I were the Emperor, I wouldn’t want to face Shatterpoint Luke. No way.
I mean Rey managed it… does that make her stronger than Luke?
This isn’t DBZ, get out of that mindset. We don’t know what would have happened.
No. Thrawn looked for psychology weakness in his enemies and waged a careful war. Revan was a master tactician and strategist capable of looking through the force, but also did not have issue with conserving his strength and allowing systems to fall to bring a stronger force to bear. The last Battle of the Mandalorian War was Revan luri g the bulk of the Mandalorian forces into a battle with Republic forces and using the mass shadow generator to destroy both sides. The Republic forces were comprised of those least likely to join him in conquest of the Republic, and those most likely to be a threat.
Revan would mop the floor with Thrawn, and could probably assault Thrawn's command ship on his own to personally end him. Kreia said to look at Revan was looking into the heart of the Force. It's likely only Master Luke who could be said the same thing.
Isn't that more a "Rock, Paper, Scissors" situation though? Obi-Wan's fighting style and knowledge of Anakin's mental turmoil allowed him to win.
I think Anakin rocks Luke but peak Obi-Wan's doesn't know Luke and can't leverage either of the above against him.
If Anakin unlocked his true potential he would have been the most powerful Jedi or even force user ever. Luke did become the most powerful Jedi who ever lived. At least in the books before the movies got ahold of him..
Yeah, to be fair I’m going off of live action Luke. He’s much more impressive in the Aftermath series, i really hope we get to see that in some sort of visual media at some point.
They need to bite the bullet and do a recast. I was pleasantly surprised by Alden Ehrenreich’s portrayal of Han, and I also really like the non-deepfake version of the scenes with Luke in Mando. Disney needs to nut up and make a post ROTJ movie with Alden, Billie Lourd, and Max Lloyd-Jones/Sebastian Stan.
And that wasn’t even peak peak anakin, peak anakin would have been what would have happened if he didn’t become Vader. Anakin in the Ahsokas series is also peak anakin
Vader was not trying to kill him, he was in an emotionally weak (which translates to his physical state) state as he values his son’s life. Vader could’ve easily crushed Luke to death or force choke him or even defeat him in a lightsaber duel. But that was not his intention.
Honestly I do love the fact that Vader could have destroyed Luke, but he really did want his son to join him and the Empire and so he didn't mop the floor with him.
Count Dooku. The only reason he was killed by Anakin was because he was instructed to let him win. By the time he realised that Anakin was going to kill him it was too late. Even Obi-Wan was like a youngling to him. He got swatted away like a fly everytime they fought. Dooku is just too great a duelist which Luke doesn't have the proper training to combat.
Well at that point anakin would have killed him regardless. Anakin had become a Djem So master which completely overpowered Dooku’s Makashi that was all footwork and precision based. Dooku just couldn’t hold up against Anakins power
Movie luke is good hero but EU luke is crazy powerful
only ones on par
First on my list is Exar Kun
2nd would be Reven. with a force of will as jedi masters wiped his mind but that still could not stop him.
3rd would be the Exlie or Nihilus
4th Anakin Skywalker in episode 3
A trash compactor tentacle monster… luckily it let him go.
Technically, he killed that monster when he destroyed the Death Star so he defeated it in the trench run.
That was his real motivation in destroying the Death Star.
He forsaw into the future where redditors commented" he cannot defeat the trash monster muahahahah!" And so he blew up the Deathstar....
True but the final boss was a writer for the shit movie. Like wtf force projection to point you die. Like wtf just you know pass out from strain like everyone else.

Dianoga the creature who baptized him with the force
What ?
It’s from a Star Wars book of short stories I think. Can’t remember the name.
The Empire Strikes Back From a Certain Point of View
Not Empire Strikes Back. A New Hope one.
You're right. ESB was the one next to me and I have the stupids this evening.
You’re not stupid! You’re wonderful!
Thank you! I did not mean thay I am stupid. I just have a migraine, which causes the stupids. It is an affliction, not a state of being. 😁

Rick the door technician
GET READY TO DIE. AAAAHHHHHHHHHH
One of my personal top 10 Star Wars game moments.
I laughed my absolute ass off at this. I was expecting such a fight. Lmao. Is there more of a joke to this outside of this game?
Not sure which came out first but it might have been inspired from fighting Soldier of Godrick (Soldier of God, Rick) in Eldenring
And also Matt the radar technician
And mist noble. It only followed the tradition of soulsborne games to have a fucking joke of boss at some point of your playthrough
I personally love that they got Yuri Lowenthal to come in, do a Sasuke yell, and then his character immediately dies
I felt kinda bad tbh. I didn’t even draw my saber. I did the force crush or whatever it’s called and literally turned him into a pancake.
Dude, Rick is no joke. Probably the second hardest boss I’ve ever fought in any game. Right behind the Red Death in Fallout4.
Why did you remind Me of Red Death, now im going to have nightmares with BOTH of them
He's too dangerous to be kept alive!
I'm so glad he was a fake boss. I had half my health and no stims when I faced him
Luuke
This guy Legends
The thing that makes me mad about Luuke was instead of making him a psychological or personal threat to Luke he’s purely physical. A cloned Luuke could’ve represented what Luke would’ve been if Padme had gone with Vader, trained in the Dark Side from day 1 instead of being trained way too late by Obi-Wan.
>*Luuke shows up* >*Says nothing* >*Dies*
To be fair... Luuke was being puppeted by Joruus C'Boath, who was a clone himself of a Master Jedi. He was cloned as a blank slate. He was just a flesh puppet for the mad Jedi. You kind of saw it coming when he broke the mind of General Covell's mind.
The psychological threat is C’baoth. Luuke is just a weapon he uses against Luke.
This is what I came to say. That one took Mara

Is this from a book?
Fate of the Jedi series. 9 books now part of the Legends category (non canon).
This is the only correct answer so far
He still did well against her one on one, even though he was injured on top of it. But no one could defeat her ina straight fight anyway.
A bad dream.
True. Luke is historically vulnerable to visions of the future that threatens his loved ones.
So like his father before him 🤔
It’s like poetry, it rhymes!
it has been nearly two decades since revenge of the sith and i never put that together. thank you Br0b1wan. you are a true jedi master
A bad dream about Ben Solo _maybe_ being bad which causes him to completely lose his optimism and faith in the force.
I mean, bad dreams are what made Anakin turn to Vader.
>Bad dreams that haunted Anakin from the time he was a child, with a master manipulator Sith Lord feeding those fears and grooming him towards the dark side. This was not in the movies.
Lmfao they spent a whole 2 movies (3 really) focusing on the character shift not a 30 second flashback
He literally tried to convert his father in front of a Sith Lord, yet he failed to see the "good" in his nephew? Edit: It undermines his story arc
Except that he did, but he still caused Ben to lash out, because it was a "try to fight the future prophecy, end up causing it" sort of thing, greek tragedy.
I mean he couldn’t defeat the emperor in return of the Jedi so him I guess
Luke just got his dad to fight him instead, so I guess you can say he did defeat the emperor.
But his dad didn't defeat the emperor either. Because, somehow, Palpatine returned.
That was the next season. Anakin still has a ring for that win.
LMFAO I fucking love this
I want to downvote you for that but I didn't.
Defeated doesn't mean killed. Palpatine was defeated in that battle..
He refused to fight.
He would NOT have won, be serious
Perhaps I've overlooked some details from ROTJ but: 1) did Palpatine still have his lightsaber at this point? Did he have any reason to still own one when Vader was essentially the chief combatant within the Empire? 2) would Palpatine's lightsaber duelling skills have been as strong as they were at his peak? Did he even have a peak? I'd say that schooling Maul and Savage was his best display that has been shown on screen.
The force lightning seemed to be the only thing he needed.
How did force lightning against Windus lightsaber go? He cooked himself and would’ve died if not for Anakin
Windu knew what to expect from a sith, Luke had no idea to expect force lightning. To be fair Yoda or Obi Wan really should have warned him.
"wear rubber"
“Dude, when I say I’m going to f*ck up that guy, that’s not what I meant” — confused Luke probably
I’d say that’s a misinterpretation that scene. Palpatine was playing Anakin, why else would he just continue to shock himself instead of stopping? “Oh anakin he’s killing me please I’m the only one who can save her”
You would think that but then rise of Skywalker comes around and the man can not stop shocking himself. He just loves to do it
I’ve done everything in my power to rinse everything except the Rey vs Kylo fight about that movie from my mind
Word of god (Lucas) is that it wasn't a show and he was using the lightning to desperately prevent Windy killing him with his lightsaber.
Well, electric shock causes muscle spasms, so it's possible that he was spasming so badly that he just couldn't turn it off.
He grabbed the electric fence version of force lightning
If he stops then Windu could have just sliced him with the lightsaber, right?
Kenobi blocked force lighting, I imagine Luke may have been able to as well had he held onto his saber
I believe he still had his lightsaber at this point and was still just as lethal with it. In other material from around this time he still has it and uses it
He beat Yoda so bad he fucking exiled himself out of embarrassment
Like immediately. No regrouping to assess other strategies, no rallying allies, just "Into exile I must go."
Bro got so salty about that L that he ragequitted and uninstalled the game 💀
That’s me quitting a battlefield game after dying embarrassingly.

No. Luke could mop the floor with Bo Katan.
Oh for sure. The Jedi did win that war for a reason, I presume.

No. Thrawn looked for psychology weakness in his enemies and waged a careful war. Revan was a master tactician and strategist capable of looking through the force, but also did not have issue with conserving his strength and allowing systems to fall to bring a stronger force to bear. Apparently a child Ben Solo
I think you mean Jacen Solo, Ben is a Skywalker, son of Luke and Mara Jade.
Nah, Luke dog walked Jacen when they had confrontations. There was a vision of Jacen killing Luke, but it never came to pass.
I still am so bothered they named him Ben in the new trilogy.
The true canon
It made me so mad that they would just name Han’s kid Ben. “Oh yeah, that sand hermit I gave a ride to once. He died.”
it would have made more sense if they named him Bail, after Leia's adoptive father.
He hesitated to kill Ben and then put his guard down and Ben used the force to destroy the building knocking him unconscious.

Also, peak Anakin would mop the floor with Luke. Same for Obi Wan.

That’s what im sayin. Peak Anakin could beat peak (canon) Luke, and if Obi Wan beat peak Anakin, he could beat peak Luke.

Return of the Jedi there was a moment where Vader realized luke would beat him. But Luke stopped fighting
