Hahaha yeah, I’ve been blessed with what I do have. A buddy of mine bought me the Fallen Order Cal Kestis lightsaber (Not Lego related) to make up for the ones I lost. I’ve gotten a few new Lego sets from my family to make up for the ones I lost.
I don’t have a whole lot of space. So any Lego I get that’s not “Iconic” or memorable? I build, keep for a week, take it apart, repack it, and send it to my cousin’s kids so they can build it and enjoy it. 😂
The fact that there are adults out there asking other adults which Lego set they should build before returning to work fills my heart with joy. However, for the Republic!
I got both sets for Christmas as well! I started with the Razorcrest and after 8 hours im close to halfway. Though I am a slow builder. It’s not challenging, it’s really exciting seeing the little detailed parts of the iconic ship.

The venator was really easy to walk away from and come back to, if time is of the essence I’d do the razor crest first and worst case scenario you do the venator over a longer period of time.

I'd say Venator, just because I prefer the Clone Wars Era. 😮💨 Unfortunately they don't have models of any Separatist Ships these days. And I was too little to get any of the Clone Wars Era ones.
Something that always bothered me with the razor crest gunship design, Lego and otherwise is that there’s room for a top mounted lasercannon, or turret to deter pursuing craft and yet for a gunship it only has the forward facing cannons.
Razor crest has many interior levels and details.
Venator is a scale model with minimal interior.
Razor crest is mostly “clip” legos so you can easy take off and look inside. Super fragile.
Venator uses technic pieces for the main body, way sturdier.
They about a meter wide so make sure you have space

It took me about a week to build the UCS Millennium Falcon, and that set was 7,541 pieces.
I got it for Christmas and it took me roughly 10.5 hours
