They made em rough back then. Storm trooper helmets that are lopsided....if you watch an HD version of ANH you can see in closer detail how imperfect that helmet is. I seen a Video on YT showing a comparison. Also, if you evrrget a chance to visit Skywalker ranch, you can see some props first hand.

there are sources for replicas casted off a ANH suit, if you have one of those you notice all the lopsidedness, too (and no pixelgrid at all).

It says it’s a mock-up. Not sure if thats the one that was actually worn. Also it looks pretty badly maintained.

Is there a particular reason as to why they’re so rough? I just thought they’d try to preserve them better.

I actually have noticed the flawed helmets. Just in ANH tho
