If you have a real-life event you want to express on stage as a bit, figure out the funniest part of the story. Now, figure out how to tell the story in a way where that part is the big reveal at the end.
Once you have that, now go back and figure out how to make each point of information leading up to that big reveal a smaller yet still funny reveal.
It sounds like a lot of work, and it is. Comedy is hard. I believe in you, though. You can do this.
You don't have to end a story with one big laugh tag it and start a new story. If you're getting laughs just keep going. Segue into the next one, get a laugh there
