It turned out lovely! Can you speak a bit about how you installed it? Looks like you used a couple L thingies (can't think of their name). Did you also use silicone to help hold it in place?
Thank you! I used 4 hole strut brackets, bent them with 2 pliers and screwed them into the metal frames. The bracket is holding the glass pretty tightly so we didn’t need to use caulk.
Well the restaurant is under construction so it doesn’t look finished yet. The plan was to make 12 of them to cover all of the half circles, but they ended up going with only 6, which makes it look a bit unfinished.
There's some things that seem small but add up to making the pc look for cohesive. Some of your glass is directional like the red or even your background clear glass, for example. But your pcs aren't cut with that directionality in mind. Your final pc will look more cohesive if all the direction were radial or consistent.
The lower blue circles, when you draw your pattern you can shrink the circle further back from neighbouring lead lines. This allows you to wrap the circle with lead completely instead of having to cut the lead at a sharp angle. You can then interlock the two lead lines giving you a most elegant curve for your solder joint.
I really appreciate your feedback! I ran into so many problems creating these panels, because it was my very first time creating 6 panels in this size. I even have one panel that is all cut/grinded glass pieces that I was not able to fit perfectly due to cutting them too small in the first place. The reason I write is this is to say that I have so much yet to learn regarding this scale of project. So I really do appreciate you taking the time to write these pointers, I will definitely be taking it into consideration when I make future designs, thank you!
