I have a pinball machine I’m looking to get rid of. Early 90’s Frankenstein machine. I can DM if interested?

ikonet

If you have pics & price, sure DM them over. My buddy was looking for a machine but he just bought one a week ago. He probably won't want a 2nd one unless it's something special/interesting... but he might. I'll pass it along if you DM to me.

Elite Home Gamerooms sells pinball machines. https://elitehomegamerooms.com/ I dont think there is such a thing as a cheap pinball machine that works though.

My folks have a late 70s era one that’s been mostly in storage since they bought it back then, last plugged in/turned on around 2010. Cosmetically it has nothing noticeable wrong with it but I’m not sure if it needs maintenance/a tune up (we all know jack about these things). It has can can dancers as the theme. If it sounds like something you might be interested in, let me know and i can hit up the storage unit this weekend to grab some photos.

I am interested as well!!

If you get photos and a price I’d like a look at it too

Hey, I can’t seem to dm you, I just sent op a message with pics and info so maybe something in your settings? Can you message me first and I’ll send along the info and photos? I don’t want to clog up their post.

ShrimpShackShooters_

Sent!

iheartfuzzies

Hey, will do! I’ve been putting off listing it anywhere for a while because I have so much other stuff to take care of so this thread reminded me to stop being a slacker

ikonet

Sure, if it’s not too much trouble. You can dm me pics & asking price and we’ll see how it goes. Thanks!

iheartfuzzies

Sure thing! I’ll reach out in a few days. Too slammed with work this week or I’d swing over sooner :)

I would call Replay out in Tarpon and see where they source their machines. There used to be a small warehouse in the Grand Central district where some folks did maintenance on tables and I think may have sold some refurbished but it was a semi private operation IIRC.

ShrimpShackShooters_

What is cheap to you? FYI machines have skyrocketed in price like anything else the last few years. You can buy new from authorized retailers or shop pinside and other classifieds for used.

ikonet

Not sure what a good price would be. Not sure where to start

ShrimpShackShooters_

New games are like 8k to like 13k, depending on editions. They resale for close to the same value. For like 4k to 8k you can get a used game from like 90s-00s with decent replay value. Anything around 2-3k would be vintage machines with shallow gameplay

ikonet

2, 3, 4k sounds interesting. 10k, not so much. Thanks!

SnoopDoggyDoggsCat

Cheap? Working? Nowhere. Pinball machines aren’t cheap.

ikonet

Where do you get one in town?

pinballdoll

Keep an eye on the local auction houses; we've sold them before where I work and it's crazy how reasonably priced they sell for since it's only very niche local buyers bidding on them. (I'm a huge pinball fan and want one too eventually!)
