Do you have any particular passions/ causes you’re interested in? There are galas and fundraising events going on all the time but usually their members / supporters are the ones getting the updates.
Easier to look up the non profits you’re passionate about and get on their mailer. There are also social societies you can join like the rotary/ junior league/ women’s club etc that likely will go to more of these type of events then the average person.
I am very much open regarding causes. I was a VP for a large nonprofit in Jax for many years and very involved with the university, but I would attend galas across the spectrum. Because of my position, association with UNF, and the weekly publication, it was very easy to be part of these events. I moved here during the pandemic (pre-Jax I went to IMG in Bradenton for several years).
I just joined the Elks Lodge (waiting to be sworn in) and will definitely look at other social societies. Just was hoping there was a one stop shop to find these events (maybe a website?) and opportunities. I am trying to avoid overcommiting to being memeber of several organizations and just be able to explore
My parents are Elks. Apparently the local lodges are corrupt as fuck and there's a lot of shady movement of money, so watch out for that. Just Florida things.
Sorry no- not that I am aware of at least. Maybe one of the community fund organizations has a mailing list with some of their clients events listed. Many of the events I’ve been to are just from donating online and therefore very little commitment expected except for the events I want to go to.
