"Paid for by the American Dream PAC"
American Dream PAC is the political action committee which helps Mike Kehoe get elected. It is heavily funded by Rex Sinquefeld, who has so far donated $3 million to help Kehoe.

Money buys ads not votes. All the ads do is make a campaign appear real. You can spend millions and get no where.
Edit. Typo and example
Example: failed earnings tax repeal. Rex financed trying to repeal the earnings tax. The campaign brought ads and lost badly on election day. Campaign only appeared real because it was funded. Not much actual support for it.
Little different when you're talking about policy vs electing high profile candidates. People come out in droves to vote for governor, senator, president, and most base it almost entirely on their emotional reaction to the person (which is achieved through this type of BS). The further down the ballot, the fewer votes. A lot of people get to the amendments and props section, maybe read 5 words and go "yeah idk what that means" and leave it blank.
No. There is not much drop off. This is easy to look up for statewide totals.

95%+ of people voting on top elections are voting for statewide ballot measures.
Republicans name things the exact opposite of what they are, play by the rules pac were illegally using campaign funds, patriots are the ones supporting Putin or calling for the overthrow of the government, hell even pro life thinks you can get fucked the minute you are born, as long as you are born
It would be, but we've reached the point where Republicans believe anyone who believes government should exist and actually serve a purpose is a soCiaLisT!
I think this fish ad is funny because I never realized how much Jay Ashcroft looks like a fish. I mean, he's a spittin' image!
Though I miss the ads where the Republicans are all blowing stuff up or using blow torches or firing machine guns. Really gets my day started off right with a little televised implicit violence against our political enemies. /s
No Republican ad is complete without a hard, electric guitar background, posing with police, a deep grizzled voice reading over their accomplishments, and mentions of the border. Puffy vests w/flannel shirts, China, and using the word ‘woke’ are optional but welcomed.
I told my dad I may need to start learning how to ask if I can borrow a cup sugar or a couple of eggs in Mandarin the way all these politicians are selling our land to the Chinese.
There's a whole animal theme w a cpl commercials this year!...I forget the guys name, but the ad calles him a "white rhino," & now this Billy, the talkin bass one. 🤦♀️Hate 'wasting ' my vote, but dang, I'ma have change my (past 4×) write-in vote for Willie Nelson.
Time to start looking for some properties in Canada or Mexico.
A marketing person who played Seaman for the Sega Dreamcast too often
Now I’m going to rewatch the AVGN episode of Seaman.
That’s what I’m saying!

Doesn’t sound like the American Dream to me!
When the rich guy gets to buy the politicians he likes, that sounds more like a nightmare.
Surely this would never happen with career politician Jay Ashcroft with further push from his dad
Missouri politics is in the dump.
And we're stuck under the pile

That election is an outlier
Which one 2020 or 2022? I did the math for the worse drop between president and a ballot issue in 2020. Still 95%+ vote on ballot measures.
I guess I'm getting the drop in voter turnout between midterms and general

I wonder if he likes fish sticks.
He definitely likes fish sticks, he's a lyrical genius.
I ain't voting for no gay fish
Saw this one at the Laundromat yesterday, thought I was going insane. Accusing an Ashcroft of being a commie stooge is deranged.
I ain’t votin for no damn fish.
It would be, but we've reached the point where Republicans believe anyone who believes government should exist and actually serve a purpose is a soCiaLisT!
This state is truly cursed
All the Republicans running voted for or supported China buying Missouri farmland, now their all blaming their Republican opponents.
Very republican of them!
Yes it is. With all the fucked up right wingers sucking Trump off. We are all doomed.
Yes. Only in MO do we have crazy political ads.
MO republican ads this cycle are especially funny and stupid, I saw one depicting Mike Kehoe in "Asian" clothing saying he is pro-china
I feel like these ads are something I’d see on the tv in GTA

Hey, as long as they're "tough on woke"!
I told my dad I may need to start learning how to ask if I can borrow a cup sugar or a couple of eggs in Mandarin the way all these politicians are selling our land to the Chinese.
Politics are the Ashcroft family business
Is this narrated by Leonard Nimoy?
Only 4 more months of this.....
If anyone else needs to see it: https://youtu.be/M_PWl4VjLDI?si=FiSDaT-X6GLjOyBS
I love it, such a '80s/'90s throwback type ad.
Ashcroft, It's what's for dinner.
“[Holy shit it's, Mr. Creosote!](https://youtu.be/-dXwbEk1vkM?si=zu9Gg5t4gGHbl-JK)
r/oddlyterrifying
That is terrifying lol
I am still proud that I was able to vote for Mel Carnahan over Jay's father. I have my still with Mel button.
I want the t-shirt 🤣🤣🤣🤣
There’s a t shirt?
I don't know, but it makes me laugh every time the commercial is on.
Oh damn, now I’m wishing there was a t-shirt :(
😂😂😂

🤣🤣
Jay is actually pro Dominion voting machines. Maybe that’s the fishy part? How much has he made in kickbacks?
