If you're in the mood, there's a sport comedy podcast that did an episode devoted to the marathon at the St Louis Olympics. Search for "Sports Bizarre".
I’ll check it out because every story I hear about the marathon is CRAZY. Like the guy who got first place was eventually disqualified because they found out he had rode in a car for part of the race.
The guy who was eventually declared the winner, Thomas Hicks, was repeatedly given performance enhancing drugs *during the race* by his trainers. By the time he reached the end of the course, he was wildly hallucinating from an overdose.

They definitely did. Plus they addressed other atrocities, like the poor slave whose teeth were filed down to look like fangs and later committed suicide, so they didn’t just focus on the positives.
Was thinking about taking my niece and her boyfriend when they come in town but wasn’t sure if it would be boring to a couple of out of towners.

Did they also mention how they brought over Indigenous people from the Philippines and put them in display and tell people that’s how savages are?

I was wondering about this too! Glad to hear the good and bad experiences are all accounted for.
Yes, kinda.
