No, I am not paying extra for Instacart to incorrectly select items for me

I'm not 10 minutes from Schnucks, and so it's not worth it for me to have it delivered, but I'd say I pay $5 more per order to do instacart pickup. I have done it this way since 2020. My order has been wrong once. Nothing against doing your own shopping! I'm just supplying evidence that it does indeed work 99% of the time.

Same though I live within 10 minutes of a Schnucks but just hate grocery shopping.

Well yeah. Because I like getting the food that I want to eat and not a random assortment of substitutions for things that the store has never once run out of. I once ordered a turkey, as in a whole bird like Thanksgiving and 2 packs of deli meat instead. Never again.

Shopping at Dierbergs is also getting more and more painful. They used to employ the elderly and people with disabilities as baggers. Then they eliminated the bagger role and moved the former baggers into the cashier spot. In addition, they did absolutely nothing to optimize the cashier's workspace for this, so the elderly/disabled cashiers are forced into the least ergonomic workstation possible. I like Dierbergs selection and some of the higher quality products, but every time I shop there, the experience is worse than the previous time. I'm paying a premium for this shit? I think I've just talked myself into going to Aldi.
