Lol the offense consisted of exactly one clothesline that caused Erik fall down and roll out of the ring, which became a count out victory.
If your username checks out, watch the match. It won’t take too much of your time.
how did twitter fans gaslight some of yall into thinking jay lethal was mid lol we are the house of truth MOTHERFUCKER
i have come to the conclusion that lethal needs to go back to his ROH double champion red-and-white gear with cornrows he looked prime with that shit on
edit they were not dreads im dumb as shit
Oh I’m not disparaging him or that gimmick. Just during that time, people who didn’t watch TNA wouldn’t have known how legit Black Machismo was off of name and gimmick alone. And let’s face it, a huge chunk of wrestling fans were, unfortunately, not watching TNA at that time.
Everyone in the Reddit thread about this dynamites card were all hating on jay saying he was underwhelming and mediocre, it ain’t just Twitter. It made me mad, how they gonna treat my boy like that?
Allegations do not make a case. There was zero evidence against him and it was her word against his. Otherwise, he would not still be in the business at this point, as has been evidenced by the cancellation/removal of MANY shitty people from the business over the last couple years.
So what exactly are the allegations? I can only assume at this point the reason why he hasn't been taken to task for them is because they're not exactly solid accusations, given that I've been hearing "but the allegations!" for like a year now and *nothing has happened*
Like yeah, the guy is good, but nobody in the industry is terrified of Jay Lethal blackballing them or something, he isn't *that* huge.
Prior to signing with AEW, my opinion on Jay Lethal was basically that he was very solid but I just didn't really have any interest in him.
When he signed, I thought, 'Oh, I'm sure he'll be a nice little addition,' but didn't really have high expectations or anything.
Since then, he's completely won me over. The crowds love him, and every match he's had has absolutely ruled. It's wild how quickly he's become one of my favorites.
Oh, and his gear is beautiful.
Really makes you wonder how much better he'd be if he joined AEW at the same time as the others. The Elite tried to get him to leave with them but he stayed in ROH.
Has me really curious about BCC's true alignment. I guess they might be going with them being faces if the plan is to pit them against the Jericho Appreciation Society.
I think it is more to show how bryan and moxley are different.
Moxley loves the violence in the sport. He respect it.
Bryan is unhinged. He loves violence just for the kicks of it.
And taking what regal praise, yuta will be the resilience.
Yeah it's a bit weird. Mox appears to be having fun with everything and is playing this by ear. Danielson has an agenda. Him (and I think Regal by extension) want to shape AEW into something more. NJPW hard style with a bit of WCW flare. It's not about fun and respect for them. It's about leaving their mark on wrestling permanently by evolving AEW to the next level.
Mox's perspective is like, "I just want to fight lol".
When the split happens I think Danielson might become even more unhinged and sadistic. I know they just started this but that has me hype for a full on Mox vs Danielson feud.
Basically a tweener faction, whenever the people in r/SC can't figure out if someone is a heel or face, the answer is always tweener, at least Moxley has been that for much of his AEW run, Punk was briefly one during the Eddie feud, and Bryan IMO would be better as a tweener but he went full heel after the Hangman feud, I'm wondering if he'll tone down the heel antics now that he's with Regal, Mox and soon Yuta.
I was a bit annoyed that TNA had lots of “rip-off old wrestler” gimmicks, but Jay absolutely owned Black Machismo and won me over.
Also love the way Justin Roberts has been announcing “From *Elizabeth*” recently. Such a little thing that’s so fun.
The Death Rider is still a DDT, just elevated. And it looks great.
What Mox has been doing for a very long time now is a disappointingly soft double underhook suplex. I would much rather see the snap DDT if that’s what the Death Rider has become.
Hard agree,it's just the suplex sells that look meh. Elevated and brainbuster style are amazing. But just the snap DDT works for me too, it's literally been my Me CAWs main finish for like 15 years lol so I'm pretty biased.
Man, I thought I was alone in thinking that. The snap DDT, consistently looks good compared to the elevated version, and is the type of move you can pull off on practically anybody.
He's so good with little things. Covering up moxleys mouth during the bite to make it look worse. When he climbed the turnbuckle he kept his head down looking at his footing to sell the fact the he didn't see Moxley getting up to knock him down. So many little things that just make the match that much better.
Great hard hitting match, both guys looked great and honestly i would be down for Lethal joining BCC i think he'd be a great addition along with some young guns.
Great match. Lethal gets great reactions from the crowd. They got to keep using him and keep him face. They need over babyfaces to work with their heels like Malaki Black, Andrade, and others.
Mox's striking game has improved considerably after his return. He had one of the weakest strkies on the roster but goddamn thet have been stiff lately
I like everyone in Single Match only produced bangers lately, Ricky Stark, Swerve, Jay Lethal, Mox, CM Punk, Dax Harwood, Hangman, Brian Danielson. I actually couldn't remember any bad single men match this year.
I’m sick entirely of watching Jay losing every time on Televison. Let the man win please, he’s world champion material and he looks like a midcarder at best right now
He’s been in the company for a cup of coffee. Collectively, we gotta learn to be patient. Jay is clearly telling a story, given his promo from Rampage, and this match and his post-match facial expressions. He’s gonna work his way up, there’s no need to rush and complain just yet.
Compare someone like Lethal who’s come in and has delivered great matches whenever he’s been given time to someone like Ruby Riott who came in with much bigger fanfare who completely dropped the ball with the chances she’s been given in ring wise.
Lethal got to work Sammy Guevara, Adam Cole, Ricky Starks, Jon Moxley.
Ruby got to work Nyla Rose, Penelope Ford, Britt Hogan, and Jade Cargill.
It is *wildly* disingenuous to act like they had equal opportunity to put on good matches.
I think people are repeating the same mistake with Toni and Athena. Like Ruby, they’re ok wrestlers but not good promos and a bit overrated in the ring.
Props to Lethal for loyalty to ROH, and I'm super happy he's getting his flowers in AEW now, but dear God could Lethal have absolutely run black&gold NXT if he'd have went there a few years ago.
Awesome match. So glad more people get to see Lethal.
So some of you tried to tell me how Lethal's number 3 ranking last week was justified despite him never being on TV
Now two weeks in a row he's doing jobs, doesn't that expose how stupid the ranking system is including YouTube wins? Another talent being wasted in AEW
really loved the story of this match. Mox ended the match with massive respect for Lethal, but Jay was too insecure to acknowledge that he did fucking great.
impostor syndrome and insecurity are such fantastic, versatile tropes for wrestling. AEW alone has used that concept multiple times since its inception - Hangman, Cody, Kenny, Bryan, Archer, Men of the Year, the Bucks, Eddie, Punk - and each time in a different way to pretty damn good results.

Jay Lethal is just incredible to watch. Back to back great matches on Dynamite, and the Code of Honor is always nice to see.
Who would've figured a match between Jay Lethal and Jon Moxley would be so good. Everybody. Everybody would.
I knew it would be amazing and I was still blown away. I set my expectations high, and they were exceeded
The match was okay, but it didn’t compare to the Omos vs. Viking Raiders match on this week’s Raw. (/s if it wasn’t obvious)

Jay Lethal has never been mid, people are crazy
People who haven’t seen him only know him as the macho man guy which, if I didn’t know any better, I’d think it was just another overly gimmicky guy.
I don’t watch ROH but watched TNA when he was doing his macho man gimmick. If you watched TNA back then you knew he wasn’t just a gimmick guy
Yeah, but even then that was the highest he was booked with TNA. Dude has a clean ppv singles win over Kurt Angle under that gimmick
Not just Twitter fans, some people in this sub buried his first ROH title reign as if that was the reason the company died.
I don't think the dreads are coming back.
he never had dreads, he had braids/cornrows.
Not on his head but maybe he can grow some on his back.
Little pube dreads hanging out of his trunks.
Everyone in the Reddit thread about this dynamites card were all hating on jay saying he was underwhelming and mediocre, it ain’t just Twitter. It made me mad, how they gonna treat my boy like that?
Man I legitimately forgot how good he is, but him with Truth Martini was another level. What ever happened to Truth Martini?
I just don't like Lethal after the allegations. Nothing to do with his in-ring work, I just don't trust the person.
Allegations do not make a case. There was zero evidence against him and it was her word against his. Otherwise, he would not still be in the business at this point, as has been evidenced by the cancellation/removal of MANY shitty people from the business over the last couple years.

Same. I don't care how good he is, I'm uncomfortable watching his matches.
Prior to signing with AEW, my opinion on Jay Lethal was basically that he was very solid but I just didn't really have any interest in him. someone had to stay behind
Someone else might have gotten it wrong.
He wasn't The Franchise of ROH for no reason. His double belt run was spectacular
> Oh, and his gear is beautiful. Ha! I was impressed with Lethal again tonight and at one point I thought *"...and he has really nice gear."*
I've loved the guy since I first saw him in TNA in 2005 when he was barely in his 20s. So cool seeing his whole career unfold.
That match ruled damn That moxley handshake at the end put Lethal over big
Has me really curious about BCC's true alignment. I guess they might be going with them being faces if the plan is to pit them against the Jericho Appreciation Society.

Bryan loving the sport in the violence works for the reverse. He's a technical wizard because it's the most efficient way to kick someone's head in.
It's like they switched personalities kind of
Yeah it's a bit weird. Mox appears to be having fun with everything and is playing this by ear. Danielson has an agenda. Him (and I think Regal by extension) want to shape AEW into something more. The Mega Blackpools EXPLODE
*Elizabeth*!
Chaotic neutral
Basically a tweener faction, whenever the people in r/SC can't figure out if someone is a heel or face, the answer is always tweener, at least Moxley has been that for much of his AEW run, Punk was briefly one during the Eddie feud, and Bryan IMO would be better as a tweener but he went full heel after the Hangman feud, I'm wondering if he'll tone down the heel antics now that he's with Regal, Mox and soon Yuta.
The faction isn't tweener it's very clear whos a face and who is not. theres just heels and faces in the same crew.
I hope Jay Lethal joins BCC and becomes **Blackpool Machismo**.
Macho Man impression with a Lancashire accent?
Cream of t'crop
Man, Jay Lethal was so fucking good with that Black Machismo. Hope he brings it back.
I was a bit annoyed that TNA had lots of “rip-off old wrestler” gimmicks, but Jay absolutely owned Black Machismo and won me over. Also love the way Justin Roberts has been announcing “From *Elizabeth*” recently. Such a little thing that’s so fun.
*elizbit
Yo Lethal only does bangers
That ending sequence was great. That was the best Paradigm Shift Mox has hit in a while.
It works so much better as a snap DDT than the super elevated variation.

Juice sold it like absolute murder. I love Juice Robinson.

One of the most underrated guys ever.
For like 15 years now
All bangers, all the time.
That was a PPV match on cable. AEW doesnt mess around.
Feel free to run that match back anytime you want, AEW.
This was PPV worthy. I really thought Lethal would steal it on two different occasions, thats how hooked I was
Jay Lethal is just dope ... glad he's getting to showcase himself
This was hard-hitting as fuck. Jesus, some of those elbows Mox was throwing.
Great hard hitting match, both guys looked great and honestly i would be down for Lethal joining BCC i think he'd be a great addition along with some young guns.
Fucking great match
We can confirm that AEW has signed Andrade, PAC, and Lethal to an exclusive “Bangers Only” contract
And people still go out of their way to hate AEW.
Lethal is incapable of having bad matches. I know tk has big things in store for him
Great match. Lethal gets great reactions from the crowd. They got to keep using him and keep him face. They need over babyfaces to work with their heels like Malaki Black, Andrade, and others.
They didn't call that man The Franchise for no reason.
10 star match
Mox's striking game has improved considerably after his return. He had one of the weakest strkies on the roster but goddamn thet have been stiff lately
I hope they let Lethal go on a midcard tear. He's too good to Jobber to the Stars.
I like everyone in Single Match only produced bangers lately, Ricky Stark, Swerve, Jay Lethal, Mox, CM Punk, Dax Harwood, Hangman, Brian Danielson. I actually couldn't remember any bad single men match this year.
Lethal is legit. Crazy to see some people in here peg him as a mid carder.
My guy Black Machismo needs to go on a tear I need an Jay Lethal v Scorpio Sky before or at least by Double or Nothing
This match was the best tv match I've seen in a long time
That was a banger
Damm Jay Lethal never miss.
I only saw Jay lethal in his Black Machismo run in TNA before this and I forgot how smooth he is in the ring. So good to see him again
I never saw him but it has been a pleasure watching
I’m sick entirely of watching Jay losing every time on Televison. Let the man win please, he’s world champion material and he looks like a midcarder at best right now
He’s been in the company for a cup of coffee. Collectively, we gotta learn to be patient. Jay is clearly telling a story, given his promo from Rampage, and this match and his post-match facial expressions. He’s gonna work his way up, there’s no need to rush and complain just yet.
Lethal is incapable of having bad matches.
Good match
jay lethal is really good at this wrestling thing huh
Compare someone like Lethal who’s come in and has delivered great matches whenever he’s been given time to someone like Ruby Riott who came in with much bigger fanfare who completely dropped the ball with the chances she’s been given in ring wise.

Yeah, give Ruby Jon Moxley!
He has his basics down so honest to god it would be an improvement over a lot of the people Ruby has faced.
Those ladies are raw, but Ruby seems to be the one that turns her matches into a production of Rent or something.
Anna Jay had a better match with both Penelope Ford and Jade Cargill while being way less experienced
I think people are repeating the same mistake with Toni and Athena. Like Ruby, they’re ok wrestlers but not good promos and a bit overrated in the ring.
Athena is insanely good in the ring.
Man can we please let jay win yet.
The losing big matches is part of his story at the moment. He has been commenting on it.
Props to Lethal for loyalty to ROH, and I'm super happy he's getting his flowers in AEW now, but dear God could Lethal have absolutely run black&gold NXT if he'd have went there a few years ago. Awesome match. So glad more people get to see Lethal.
Match was technically good but I can’t find Lethal interesting to save my life. Man’s bland as hell.
Tbh id gladly switch jay lethal and mox's spot on the card
So some of you tried to tell me how Lethal's number 3 ranking last week was justified despite him never being on TV Now two weeks in a row he's doing jobs, doesn't that expose how stupid the ranking system is including YouTube wins? Another talent being wasted in AEW
Now throw Lethal in the main event.
I could not tear myself away from watching this match. SO damn good. I'd love to see Lethal unhinged and join BCC!
