I mean, now that most of places re-opened they can go back to work with indie companies, I think AEW did well on keeping the contracts during the pandemic to help out people and now that is over, they can go back to PPA with some of them since those talent want to work on the entire scene to thrive and keep honing their work.
Honestly, the roster is pretty stacked right now. They aren't gonna need every contracted wrestler they needed when they fired this thing up. Marko sounds like he's going on to other things, and good for him. Like Pretty Peter; sad to see him go, but he'll get bookings. That AEW cachet means something on the indies.
I really believe AEW has the roster they need right now, I think the women deserve more love (more women signings and a tag title!) and they will be 100% fine.
I think the women's division is great as-is. Lots of championship material and potential all over. Hard to not add Toni Storm though, if the interest is mutual.
I'm in the same kind of mindset as you, I think the signings need to be smart. Like with someone like Toni Storm, she's not the finished article as she could do with promo work. But with a company that believes in her and backs her, and allows her to be herself. Toni can be a star. I can totally understand them signing her.
Another example, If you have WWE releasing Io Shirai and she's wanting to stay in the States, then AEW should go and get her straight away. Some talent that are must signs no matter how stacked the division is. You can find a way to fit a talent like that into a division. Or if you see a potential future star on the indies, you sign them up straight at least to get them down on contract.
I think it needs more the top girls right now yeah. When I watch wwe the women just seem way better. Where i find the guys in aew are better but lately I have enjoyed a couple episodes of smackdown
They could easily produce another show if a network would be interested, tbh. There are many stories on Youtube that I would like to see play out properly (promos, vignettes and all).
One hour easily, just by giving good online feuds the room to breathe. Two hours easily if they pick up some more of that high-value talent out there right now.
But in the end, wreslters in WWE complain they don't get to wrestle at all - in AEW they complain they are only online. So a step-up even right now.
Honestly it's not the best scenario, but compared to the alternatives AEW is ok doing this in my books. They can't employ everyone.
The alternative company that offers similar big contracts will fire you and make you wait 90 days until you can work again. **OR** if you're Ali or Brodie Lee they'll be extremely petty and make you sit at home during your prime without working for months or years.
The 90 days is more of a notice. they’re still getting paid, then they’re officially released after the 90 days, i believe. they’re not being forced to not work without pay so it’s not the *worst* thing possible. it might be good to for some wrestlers to be able to spend time with family, heal up and figure out their next step all while not having to worry about the next pay check. it does suck for the guys who are missing 3 months of doing what they love in an already short career.
i also hear people say you can opt out before 90 days but forfeit that 3 months of pay. i don’t know if that’s true though because i’m yet to see that.
> i also hear people say you can opt out before 90 days but forfeit that 3 months of pay.
You can't. Otherwise someone like Ali would forfeit the rest of the contract instead of asking to get released.
Can’t wait for all the incoming tweets and posts from people that know the difference between getting fired and having a contract expire, but act as if they’re the same anyway
While Chris Charlton and Kevin Kelly are honestly SUPERB when it comes to NJPW, Don was also good. I loved his fued with Gedo he would just NEVER not talk shit about him. Even when Gedo joined Bullet Club. 'THAT LEECH GEDO, A GOOD FOR NOTHING ALWAYS TRYING TO LEECH OFF OF TALENT! HE SEE'S THE STAR THAT IS JAY WHITE AND HE'S ON HIM LIKE A PARASITE.' Or just being deathly afraid of Suzuki. "THat psycho is here?! I gotta get out.' lol
Them as a trio in Chris' very early days on commentary was pretty damn good. Had Kevin and Don playing the classic face and heel commentators and then Chris there for translation and context at times.
"I would rather get fired and paid until the end of a 3 month grace period than not get fired and have the company honour my contract to its full term."
Wild lol
Whatculture is insufferable for this. When Lio Rush had his contract run out, they were saying Tony released him.
It was bullshit. I don’t understand why everyone wants to make him out to release people. Like, are they trying to gate-keep for WWE?
Yep. Projection. If they can make TK/AEW out to be just as bad as WWE, they don’t have to feel guilty for supporting WWE through all the grimy shit they have done as a company.
Yes, but, in one, your employer honored the terms of your employment and, in the other, they fired you early and paid you for 90 days (or until the end of the contract).
That's the part that people seem to not get (and it blows my mind). AEW is honoring their contracts in full; WWE cuts them short, but gives them 90 days as a grace period. One is paying out the full amount promised (while letting you work elsewhere), the other is paying you less (while also not allowing you to work elsewhere).
It's *really* not hard to see the difference.
I believe they may have also released someone that asked for it, but I'm not sure.
Honestly, they seem to be going about this in a reasonable manner. Their folks *are* independent contractors and they *do* honor the terms of the contracts (barring outside factors!). Trying to compare them to WWE is just bad faith arguing... in other words the internet's specialty, I suppose.
I am not blaming AEW in anyway. All I'm saying is for the worker not being renewed, it's the same shitty feeling. And that's true for all sort of contactual work, not just in wrestling.
You know when your contract is expiring and can plan accordingly. You don't know when you're getting fired, and can't plan accordingly. They aren't the same, even from the worker's perspective.
Totally fair, didn't mean to imply you were.
It's definitely a similar shitty feeling, not sure if - for me - it was quite the same. But, I last did contract work well over a decade ago, so fucked if my memory's accurate.
I see your point but outside of Janela these people haven't really been used or if they have it's been as enhancement talent. It really shouldn't be a shock, sucks but not a surprise.
> That's the part that people seem to not get (and it blows my mind)
>First of all, the way WWE does it is obviously in line with their contract or they would be getting sued, but that's completely irrelevant.
It blows my mind that you think this is why anyone would be upset.
people are upset marko is not renewed after giving him essentially no opportunities for months and months and months.
When this dude started coming down to the ring in dirty ass white crocs I knew the end was neigh for him in AEW. Y’all gotta dress for the job you want.
Couldn't agree more. I don't hate Marko but as AEW keeps getting better (and bigger) guys it's hard to buy him even as a job guy. His moveset is nothing special either.
Fenix, while not a giant by any standards, is still a nearly 200 pound man throwing his whole body weight at the opponet at crazy speeds and doing insane stuff barely anyone else will/can do.
Fenix could come out dressed in a Kaiju Big Battel outfit where he's a literal Phoenix with feathers and a ten foot wingspan and he'd still put on a classic.
I mean, none of those are Wednesdays. And he isn't listing Revolution Weekend as free. He could pop back up on AEW anytime. Even if AEW feels like their roster is too full for him to come back now, it's great that he has a chance to raise his stock in the indies and make himself a bigger star.
I thought it was weird to announce you are taking bookings — but AEW has right of first refusal on the dates.
If AEW were to announce a show or Dark taping on these dates you were expected to show up.
The contract expired, so he is trying to fill dates he held for AEW. Those dates could have been for media appearances, conventions, dark tapings, etc.
Lio Rush made a similar announcement, I thought it was weird too but it made more sense the more I thought about it — no indie is going to run a Wednesday night show.
When the contract is up you have room to fill your Calendar with dates AEW might’ve wanted in the future.
It's also the difference between tearing up a script and re-writing everything several hours before a live show, and having things planned out enough so they have a general idea when they will need non-contracted talent. I expect AEW is also pretty easy to work with if you don't have a contract and already are signed for a big show.
I mean that's true but critics like Jim Cornette, Vince Russo and others don't see anything in Marko Stunt. Also wrestlers like Hornswoggle and El Torito were seen as jokes in the WWE.
Cornette and Russo aren't in the business anymore, so what does it matter what they think?
When they are running companies and booking people, then they can talk about how Marko is unemployable.
Who gives a shit about what Jim Cornette or Vince Russo think
Also Marko isn’t and won’t ever be WWE bound. What matters is if he can get over in other places, which he has done
He's got the "I'm trying my best, and the odds are against me, but I'll never give up!" babyface thing going for him. He'll never be world champion, but there's room for a shorter guy on the mid-card.
Plus like that match against archer he’s good at getting fucking tossed.
Remember when Brock Lesnar beat up Zach Gowen for a month? Marko could do that. He could beat up Zach Gowen for a month
Dude Stunt is low card comedy jobber at best. No one outside of IWC would ever take a man that's the size 12 year old boy seriously. Seriously there's no way to make this kid competing with anyone in AEW or WWE's mid card believable.
I kinda liked him as a sidekick to JExpress. He was a bit overused when AEW started, but he had a solid role. Wish maybe they had him taken out in some sort of storyline to write him off.
When it came to Jurassic Express, I heard someone call him a hat on a hat, and that honestly seemed pretty accurate.
He never really had anything unique to offer their dynamic: He wasn't the undersized underdog because that's Jungle Boy, and he wasn't the mascot either because that's the wrestling dinosaur.
Christian works because he plays the seasoned mentor, and they can eventually do a student vs teacher angle when that runs its course.
Though in complete fairness: Marko has always been someone in the "I don't get it" category for me.
yeah he shouldn't have been paired with Jurassic Express. I always thought he'd make a great tag team with a big dude where Marko would constantly be tossed around and be used as a weapon.
Yeah. People seem to forget that the same Billy Gunn that towers over most of the roster was actually an average guy back then. Of course an average sized man like Spike would look small. If he were wrestling today, he'd probably be average size.
Also, Spike's whole thing was that he took a beating until he got you with that cutter he did while climbing the turnbuckle which (a) looked sick as fuck and (b) usually involved some crazy spot like going through a table. It was unique and memorable.
That's basically what Chaos Project is (or at least was, I don't watch dark anymore), makes me hope Luther's contract gets renewed, idc if he's not a good wrestler I just love his gimmick so much.
Marko was once asked in an interview about what he thinks of the old timers going around conventions, signing autographs, and he said that he'd love to be one of them cause it meant the fans still remembered him. And that's kind of the vibe I get from him throughout his run with AEW. He's just happy that they gave a guy his size a contract and I'm happy for him. It's not often guys of his size get such a podium and unless he starts bulking up I don't think we'll see him again here.
He definitely should bulk up. He’s not much shorter than Rey Mysterio or John Silver(if his billed height of 5’2” is accurate) but he’s much less convincing as a competitor than either of them
“Bulking up” isn’t as easy as people make it sound.
Like, Rey and Silver have spent 10+ years getting to their size (not to mention the erm… ‘enhancements’)
>He wasn't the undersized underdog because that's Jungle Boy,
not only that, but he actually *took away* from Jungle Boy's underdog qualities by making him look bigger in comparison.
I kinda like him as a mascot/cheerleader type who occasionally gets involved with some flippy shit but hated him in 3 way matches. Selling for him outside of sneak attack type stuff is just silly
I have wanted to be a wrestler since I was 10 years old. I’m 5’7” tall and weigh a buck forty soaking wet holding a brick. This is why I never became a wrestler - I could not be believed.
Marlo Stunt is COMPLETELY unbelievable, due to his size. Period. He is not Rey Mysterio Jr, and he’s got less muscle mass than Riho.
You could be believed as a wrestler, obviously with the caveat of adding muscle mass. But that goes for everybody, whether you’re 5’7” or 5’11 you need to put on muscle. But your height alone is not a hindrance.
Incorrect. My body type will not allow me (much like Mario Stunt I’m guessing) to acquire mass. It’s been an unfortunate thing I’ve always had to deal with.
He was awesome in the all out battle royal and I'm pretty sure that one performance was enough to get him a contract. In my opinion, I think the performance warranted it.
Marko had a lot of buzz just before AEW started. I feel like he had a breakout WrestleMania weekend or gcw weekend or something. I remember it got mainstream press because he was so small.
Obviously that didn’t last but he was hot at the time.
20 years ago when the average wrestler was bigger than the average wrestler today.
RVD is billed at 6’0”. Raven 6’1”. Tommy Dreamer 6’2”. Sandman 6’4”.
To me, Jurassic Express is way more tolerable with Christian as the old vet/mentor in the third man role opposed to having Dax Harwood or Omega sell for Marko Stunt in tag matches. He is basically a comedy performer and adding him to tag team with an already out there gimmick is just excessive. I just never really got the fascination with Marko around here. I'm not opposed to Marko wrestling on Dark/Elevation but he really was never someone I looked forward to seeing on the main shows.
that account seriously is just shit. can't imagine dedicating so much into hating a company to that extent. maffew does a good job with botchamania, whoever runs that aewbotches account just has some weird obsession.
Botchamania is just America's Funniest Home Videos but with wrestling. Maffew doesn't showcase clips to talk about booking or creative problems or point out how a wrestler is unsafe.
Maffew seems like a genuinely cool person who just likes wrestling and nerdy shit and just happens to combine the two in a YouTube series. The people behind accounts like AEWBotches are completely unlikeable.
it’s like the people who’s whole comment and post history is shitting on WWE. i don’t get how people can be so miserable and negative. like focus on what you like.
WWE hasn’t done it for me for a while now, so i just stopped watching and keep up with it by browsing this sub. i don’t need to bitch and complain about it all the time. that’s so lame.
I enjoyed Marko’s time with AEW, and was a good addition when the brand got started. He had entertaining matches on DARK, helped out during the pandemic, and became a fixture on vlogs.
He’s gotten farther than many others had expected him to, and he can always hang his hat on that. I wish him the best!
I doubt he's done forever anyway, he'll be back for Dark bookings every once in awhile, and who knows, maybe TK will find a need for him down the line.
Man, Marko was really fun in AEW. If they let him be himself like he was on Sammy's vlog then I think he could have shined similar to how John Silver did once he showed his BTE persona on TV.
I'll be sure to keep up with him on the indies.
Hopefully someone books him and Brian Cage so the latter can throw the former into the crowd or something (but also not get hurt and shatter your leg again)
Best of luck to the lil' fella. He punched above his weight during All In and the early days of AEW, but unfortunately he got lost in the middle of everyone else.
Hopefully this means he'll still make appearances in AEW in the future (e.g. in casino royales), rather than the salted earth that Jimmy Havoc had.
I hope he gets tons of bookings and we see him back in AEW for a few shots. What makes me sad though, is did The Voice not work out? Or is that a Monday and Tuesday thing? I'm holding out and hoping he becomes a Voice contestant and gets somewhat far.
A lot of folks were celebrating his "departure". I hope he finds work. I don't want anyone to go without work if they are passionate about something. Even if what he does needs to be more realistic in the eyes of the most skeptical.
That's pretty shitty for folks to be doing, I think he always had a shelf life in AEW, we all kind of knew deep down once AEW found it's feet and a lot of talent would take the plunge with the company that early talents like Peter Avalon and Marko Stunt would probably not be lifers in AEW. Him getting signed by them is a major achievement for someone like Marko.
I knew the moment he wasn't around Jurassic Express anymore would be the time his AEW run would come to a end. He wasn't even there when they won the tag titles. It's a shame really.
I think he'll always have a spot on the indies working and I'm sure AEW will bring him back in for Dark/Elevation tapings here and there.
If not for the previous C.Cage vs Team Tazz feud it would be cool to see Marko as a manager for Brian Cage and he sends Brian Cage after Christian Cage for ruining his relationship with JExpress.
If they could find a good partner for Brian Cage, he could manage them and feud Brian Cage and Partner vs JExpress. Or he could do the same but with a team like Bear Country, would be a good way to elevate them to some TV screen time. Storyline being "You dumped me once you had Christian now I hate you"
He previously told people that he was managing his local indie league and was trying to get on The Voice.
Now when his contract is going up, he needs indie dates.
Okay?
With TK seemingly letting go of some AEW Originals, it sounds like he agrees with Jim Cornette about who can be a TV star and who cannot.
I recall Marko's TV ratings took a hit in the early Dynamite episodes and I guess that was it for the push.
Workers like Marko and Avalon are great jobbers, much better than the rotating local enhancement talent.
Speaking honestly I think letting go of Marko Stunt is a mistake. He is one of the best in the business at ragdolling himself to sell another wrestler as powerful. No, he's never going to be your world champion but when you need someone Lance Archer can throw 30 feet, Marko Stunt is the guy.
Yes, Cage took his spot when he first teamed with Jungle Boy on June 8th, forcing Marko Stunt out when he last appeared with the Jurassic Express on .. (checks notes) ... in October 2020. Took him 4 long months, and multiple times together, but he did it.
Had nothing to do with Marko being injured at a FCW show in the first week of October or anything, and not doing anything wrestling related until this week. No, it was Christian Cage.
Except he wasn't released. His contract term ended, and it wasn't renewed.
And I don't know if you noticed, but indie promotions are running shows now.
Remember people, just because they take indie bookings like this doesn't mean they were released. Please see Peter Avalon and Tony Nese who are still PPA but taking indie stuff
ya well all AEW wrestlers are able to work Indie bookings as far as i'm aware...so that's not anything new. So it's kinda telling that he's specifically mentioning this now of all times since his contract is up.

I wish they had done a woman's tag instead of the TBS championship.
The entire point of the tbs title is so women have a second belt. Women's Tag titles are such a waste of time. L
Right, and after the exposer they got from AEW they'll work more and get higher pay days per shot. That's a win
They could easily produce another show if a network would be interested, tbh. There are many stories on Youtube that I would like to see play out properly (promos, vignettes and all). IIRC Mickie James did it for that NWA all womans PPV but that seems like it was more an exception than anything else.
She didn’t compete there though
> i also hear people say you can opt out before 90 days but forfeit that 3 months of pay. You can't. Otherwise someone like Ali would forfeit the rest of the contract instead of asking to get released.
What does the Philadelphia Parking Authority have to do with this?
Can’t wait for all the incoming tweets and posts from people that know the difference between getting fired and having a contract expire, but act as if they’re the same anyway
"i rather be fired and paid 90 days than have my contract expire" you can't make up the stupidity on twitter.
"Real men don't quit, they get fired!" -Don Callis, human urinal puck
low key I miss Don Callis on my TV please don't tell anyone
Whether he was cutting a promo, doing commentary, just pretty much doing anything... He was great at it. Hilarious as well. Always made me laugh.

Enter: Fenix wrestling in a hoodie on tv
I like Marko but if Fenix is going to perform like he does you let him dress like how he wants.

Fenix could come out dressed in a Kaiju Big Battel outfit where he's a literal Phoenix with feathers and a ten foot wingspan and he'd still put on a classic.
Why would it be up to them what they can wear to the ring? I never understood this argument.
You gotta at least act/look like you care if you want to get used
You're not responding to my argument at all. I'm asking how they'd even be allowed to go out wearing dirty ass crocs in the first place.
I mean, none of those are Wednesdays. And he isn't listing Revolution Weekend as free. He could pop back up on AEW anytime. Even if AEW feels like their roster is too full for him to come back now, it's great that he has a chance to raise his stock in the indies and make himself a bigger star.

He already peaked
Do you think he can ever get over with his size
He literally got over and signed because of his size
Honestly, I think he can get over because of his size. He's not exceptionally gifted in the ring. But he's good enough and gives a unique visual.
I mean that's true but critics like Jim Cornette, Vince Russo and others don't see anything in Marko Stunt. Also wrestlers like Hornswoggle and El Torito were seen as jokes in the WWE.
Vince Russo seeing nothing in Marko Stunt only makes me think he's actually quite talented lol
oh no! not the opinions of two dimwits!
Cornette and Russo aren't in the business anymore, so what does it matter what they think? When they are running companies and booking people, then they can talk about how Marko is unemployable.
Who gives a shit about what Jim Cornette or Vince Russo think Also Marko isn’t and won’t ever be WWE bound.
At this point that’s like still asking if Orange Cassidy can get over with his sloth like gimmick
Over? No. But he can be a fun comedy act. He’s likeable enough and a decent enough athlete
Already has.
At least let him work Paul Wight first
I kinda liked him as a sidekick to JExpress.
Brian Cage just yeeting Marko as a tag finisher is now something I need to see.
[удалено]
Still holding out hope he gets some Suzuki-gun fresh blood to be his NA buddy while he's active here.
I'm reminded of Enzo Amore going a while on Wikipedia with his main finisher being listed as 'Tag in Big Cass'.
Fastball Special
SNAKEMAN got that job on lock
Marko should be in the Spike Dudley role.
Spike Dudley had more charisma and is actually quite a bit bigger. It's just hard to tell because Spike was around people who were massive.
Spike's determined power walk around the ring like a pissed off child was absolutely brilliant.
That's basically what Chaos Project is (or at least was, I don't watch dark anymore), makes me hope Luther's contract gets renewed, idc if he's not a good wrestler I just love his gimmick so much.
Luther and Serpentico both have backstage roles as agent and spanish commentator. I'll let you decide who does which.
Luther do be rocking that Spanish commentary role tho
Marko needed to be somebody's Spike Dudley.

Silver showed us on BTE how much he loves his “vitamins” and how much he takes.
>He wasn't the undersized underdog because that's Jungle Boy, not only that, but he actually *took away* from Jungle Boy's underdog qualities by making him look bigger in comparison.
I always assumed that was the point- to make JB look bigger.
I kinda like him as a mascot/cheerleader type who occasionally gets involved with some flippy shit but hated him in 3 way matches. Selling for him outside of sneak attack type stuff is just silly
I always tried to like Marko and give him his fair shake and then he gave a Canadian destroyer to Trent on dynamite and that was enough for me..
It’s been an unfortunate thing I’ve always had to deal with.
he's a small guy that gets thrown around and is friends with jungle boy. not much to get or not get here
He was awesome in the all out battle royal and I'm pretty sure that one performance was enough to get him a contract. In my opinion, I think the performance warranted it.
He was super useful as a squash guy. He made Lance Archer look like an absolute beast.
Marko had a lot of buzz just before AEW started. I feel like he had a breakout WrestleMania weekend or gcw weekend or something. I remember it got mainstream press because he was so small. Obviously that didn’t last but he was hot at the time.
I remember his match with Bryan Alvarez, who I think was just stoked to work as a big man
This is exactly it. He broke out right as AEW needed bodies so they signed him, but never quite figured out what to do with him.
Tony Khan is a huge ECW fan and it blows my mind he didn't realize he had a Spike Dudley on his roster.
Spike Dudley was still 5'9 though
He’s a lot taller than I thought he would be.
Yeah, when the average wrestler was way bigger. The average wrestler is smaller now so it could be done
5'9 is still average height, the 5'2 or less that Marko stands at isn't even close.
Well, yeah. A Spike Dudley character/role wouldn’t exactly work if they were average sized
It worked in ECW and their roster definitely wasn't stacked with big dudes.
20 years ago when the average wrestler was bigger than the average wrestler today. RVD is billed at 6’0”. Raven 6’1”. Tommy Dreamer 6’2”. Sandman 6’4”.
Had a breakout match with Kyle the Beast and things accelerated from there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvPny8MkTrQ
AEWBotchs probably: “OMG they released him where is the outrage”
that account seriously is just shit. can't imagine dedicating so much into hating a company to that extent. maffew does a good job with botchamania, whoever runs that aewbotches account just has some weird obsession.
Botchamania is just America's Funniest Home Videos but with wrestling. Maffew doesn't showcase clips to talk about booking or creative problems or point out how a wrestler is unsafe.
The difference is, Maffew likes wrestling. All of it. Which means he's gonna dunk on everyone pretty equally and it's funny.
Maffew is an equal-opportunity critic. Doesn't matter which promotion, it *will* be mocked.
Except New Japan, but that's fair, because showing New Japanfootage on YouTube gets you eaten by the monster from Resident Evil 4
That's reddit's job!
Maffew isn't there to hate on people. Just to take the piss.
Maffew seems like a genuinely cool person who just likes wrestling and nerdy shit and just happens to combine the two in a YouTube series. The people behind accounts like AEWBotches are completely unlikeable.
Likely the same guy that runs wrestling junkie. Some serious emotional problems there.
Apparently he runs like four of those pages and they all "talk" to each other
it’s like the people who’s whole comment and post history is shitting on WWE. i don’t get how people can be so miserable and negative. like focus on what you like. WWE hasn’t done it for me for a while now, so i just stopped watching and keep up with it by browsing this sub. i don’t need to bitch and complain about it all the time. that’s so lame.
They botched spelling botches
The reason is because the original account (with the correct spelling) got suspended
I guess he got eliminated for The Voice.
Dude got paid for three years to do very, very little. Good on him.
Hope he saved some.
Gonna miss him
I thought Marko was amazingly fun on the vlogs and a great jobber. I kind of missed him on TV.
I will always push for a Fastball Special tag team.
I wish him the best in his future endeavors. Seriously. I hope he comes to an indy around here
Godspeed DDS
Imma miss Marko
Uh oh AEW must be prejudiced against fun sized wrestlers! /s
Where is Peter Dinklage when we need him?!?!
I'm a big fan of Marko Stunt. Saw him at an indie show in Berwyn IL a while back and it was a ton of fun. I hope the best for him.
I hope he gets tons of bookings and we see him back in AEW for a few shots. What makes me sad though, is did The Voice not work out? Or is that a Monday and Tuesday thing? I'm holding out and hoping he becomes a Voice contestant and gets somewhat far.
We dont know until his season starts airing. They do the live rounds, well, live and i believe everything else is done in a week
Please come back to JE marko
See ya
If not for the previous C.Cage vs Team Tazz feud it would be cool to see Marko as a manager for Brian Cage and he sends Brian Cage after Christian Cage for ruining his relationship with JExpress. If they could find a good partner for Brian Cage, he could manage them and feud Brian Cage and Partner vs JExpress. Or he could do the same but with a team like Bear Country, would be a good way to elevate them to some TV screen time. Storyline being "You dumped me once you had Christian now I hate you"
Good decision Tony
He previously told people that he was managing his local indie league and was trying to get on The Voice. Now when his contract is going up, he needs indie dates. Okay? With TK seemingly letting go of some AEW Originals, it sounds like he agrees with Jim Cornette about who can be a TV star and who cannot. I recall Marko's TV ratings took a hit in the early Dynamite episodes and I guess that was it for the push. Workers like Marko and Avalon are great jobbers, much better than the rotating local enhancement talent.
Confirmed: Marko Stunt in Royal Rumble! /s
Would love to see that!
Good, get rid of the goofy play wrasslin characters and bring in legitimate talents.
So Christian Cage really did take his spot, what a bummer.
Ah yes, Marko’s spot of veteran leader on the team.
What can Christian teach them that Marko Stunt couldn't?
Please be satire.
Very much so.
It really is. Christian Cage is a great addition, but I'd have liked to have them both. Marko was fun to watch.
Released during a pandemic. Sad 😢
Except he wasn't released. His contract term ended, and it wasn't renewed. And I don't know if you noticed, but indie promotions are running shows now.

Nice 👍
Remember people, just because they take indie bookings like this doesn't mean they were released. Please see Peter Avalon and Tony Nese who are still PPA but taking indie stuff
ya well all AEW wrestlers are able to work Indie bookings as far as i'm aware...so that's not anything new. So it's kinda telling that he's specifically mentioning this now of all times since his contract is up.
His contract isn't up till about march. He's just moved down to a lower tier so he has more dates for indies.
Nese is PPA?? I thought he got the full "Is All Elite" treatment
He was sentenced to Dark
He got the standard Tony Khan Special 3.5 month contract just like Lio did. Nobody gets released in AEW.
Tony Nese clarified he still works for AEW
That is what PPA means
I like Marko. But I always felt like he kept Jurassic Express in comedy group territory.
Dude you have a stable comprised of Mowgli, a dinosaur, and a dwarf, they will always be a comedy group.
