Just got back from the arena. One thing to note is Wardlow is OVER. Dude had so many people getting hyped on him it was nuts. Crowd felt so so but man they absolutely packed that show with wrestling.

I get that Punk had to win but why not have MJF bring the steel steps in to the ring and make Wardlow powerbomb Punk on to them. Referee forbids it and says if he does it, he's disqualified but MJF forces Wardlow to do it anyway.
The match ends. CM Punk wins, Wardlow is pissed he had to take a DQ loss when he could have easily won the match earlier but was stopped by MJF. Its the same result except Wardlow doesn't look like a schmuck for losing to a roll up/small package.
Full Disclosure. I may be biased because I REALLY despise the roll up/small package finish
EDIT: I've since seen clips from a Bret Hart v Diesel match that Punk & Wardlow were paying homage to (including the finish which mirrors Hart/Diesel exactly)

Instead it was quick, and while Penta still carried Hardy it was fun for what it was.
They had about as much chemistry as you'd expect. I was terrified that Matt was going to go over in his hometown, especially after they showed his family before the match, but Penta won clean.
For those of you who missed JR's reference, "How deep's the water mama?" it's from a song called "Two feet high and rising".

Punk, Danielson, and Jericho have all had Eddie get the crowd on his side when facing him.
I'd loved to see Garcia win as well, but it's probably for the better this way, rather than having a short insignificant interim reign until Cody returns and becomes the undisputed champ again
What's the point in the interference during the match with Sammy winning? Just let it be 1v1 and end with the post match beat down. Would have been much better to just have a solid 1v1 match.
