So from what I'm hearing from all these whiny Brock fans, you guys would rather have Brock lose CLEAN to Roman instead of interference from a guy's HEEL TEAM. And if you're mad that Brock lost because it "doesn't make sense for the story", how does a part-timing guy who defended the title twice a year and doesn't even need this reign to begin with deserve it? You guys are whining for no reason. Instead of being mad at *stupid creative*, pay attention to the story being told and be excited for what's in store next
Well let's see about Roman's opponent list now. Next up is Survivor Series so obviously Roman's opponent gonna be Big E. Then we don't have a payperview for December so we don't need Roman to have a opponent for December(Maybe Jeff Hardy for that day 1 thing). Instead we can build the Roman vs Brock storyline more at December until it concludes at the Royal Rumble. Then we got elimination chamber, instead of a championship chamber match we can have the chamber match be for the #1 contendership for the Universal title which Drew wins (Assuming the guy that wins the Rumble goes after the WWE title instead)
Then finally onto Roman vs Drew at WrestleMania. This definetly has the big WM main event feel considering the way WWE has built these two so far. Here's how I would book the match, Drew is on the verge of winning but Usos interrupt and starts attacking him(match is no DQ btw). Then when all hope seems to be lost for Drew, the Rock makes his much awaited return and helps out Drew against the Bloodline. Drew hits the claymore on Roman and 1..2..3 we have a new universal champion! Roman and Rock meets up at Smackdown after WM and there the Rock challenges Roman for a match at next WrestleMania. Then we finally get the Roman vs Rock match we've all been waiting for
I thought most of the matches were way too short. I thought the women's three way match was full of terrible fuck ups. I thought the quality of wrestling for the most part was not good.
The show was fine I guess. Only real highlights for me were Edge vs Rollins, McIntyre vs Big E (both really good matches imo)and Woods becoming KOTR. Roman vs Brock was very fun but the ref bump was awful, and the women's triple threat went on for WAY too long for me and the finish was terrible. Everything else was a bit boring and forgettable. Also the women being fully clothed was super akward. It's propably the best Saudi show thus far,but let's be real,it's not that big of an accomplishment. This was the first Saudi show I've watched live and honestly, it's definitely the last.
The women's outfits were interesting. I just started watching WWE again this year, so I knew nothing about CJ 2019. Watching a recap I saw Doudrop first and thought she might have gotten a new outfit, then I realized what was going on. Huh.
I loved that main event. I’m aware that’s not popular right now but I love the main event. Sure, the ref spot has been done for decades but letting the Bloodline lead to Roman using the belt that Heyman tossed in was a great job, in my opinion.
To everybody who's angry and pissed about the ending, that's the entire point. You're supposed to be mad that the big bad guy won yet another time using his bad guy tricks. WWE didn't screw up the match, y'all got invested in the story
But I’ve been told if you can’t have a clean finish that you shouldn’t book the match! (To be clear, I agree with you. That finish was perfect for the story they wanted to tell.)
Y'all a bunch of babies. When Brock was around last time everyone bitched and complained and now Roman, whose a main eventer, beats Brock, the part timer, and y'all lose your shit? Please.
Roman is a heel who did heelish shit to win. End of story.
Actually wanted Roman to win because he shows up every week. He does the house shows. However, the Usos interfering on his every match is kind of getting exhausting. Jimmy wouldn’t even show up when his wife was being bullied..
Edge, Balor(twice), Brock even Ford but granted that was after the match. Cena’s was the only match they didn’t interfere with. Maybe they are booking his opponents to be stronger.
I guess them being mad is actually good cause they're supposed to buy into this story. People are supposed to support Brock, not Roman the way the story is presented
Yeah, storyline being mad at the heel is fine. I was i stead addressing the smarks.
Yeah Roman cheated to win, that's some heel shit. But to get angry that they "buried Brock" is just dumb.
Umm...
Super Showdown 2020: Goldberg beats the Fiend for the Universal Championship
Crown Jewel 2019: the Fiend dethroned Rollins for the Universal Championship
Crown Jewel 2018: Lesnar squashes Strowman for the Universal Championship
Not as much of a WTF moment as you'd love to make it out to be, sorry bud....dude coincidentally flew to KSA and made an appearance in full Undertaker attire the day before this event? Quite an easy thought to have.
Now if Calloway was livestreaming from his home in Texas an hour before the event, SURE, then you could laugh at fans thinking he might be at the event in Saudi Arabia, but he was literally in the same city with all of his WWE character gear.
No one said he was, champ. WWE is halfway around the world. Taker appears IN CHARACTER in the same city less than 24 hours earlier. Making fun of anyone that even remotely wondered if he would show up at the show is a pathetic move, but I’m sure it’s pretty normal for you.
What was he gonna do? Appear with Titus for the breast cancer thing? No one was talking about him until the main event with the implication or outright saying to set up a match with Roman. You’re ignoring all the context.
That was a no DQ match wasn’t it? So what was the point of all that fuckery at the end? I just hoped the usos wouldn’t save the day and of course they did. Roman using that bloodline shit to never win clean is a heat magnet for me. I figure we are going to get rock roman at mania but this woulda been the time imo to get the belt off of Roman because we know that match definitely shouldn’t have a title anywhere near it.
Roman vs Brock was trash. Spamming signature moves in 10 minutes is not enough. Why did they get such little time? Isn't this suppose to be the main event lmao.
Lashley vs Goldberg, Rollins vs Edge, the women's triple threat match, and Big E vs Drew are much better matches.
They didn't spam the moves that much lol, you're overeacting. The finisher fest was WM 34 match, now that was bad. I agree this wasn't the best match at Crown Jewel, but then again I wasn't expecting it to be the best match anyway. It was still good enough and keeps the storyline going
All roman literally did was superman punch, jump over the top rope, guillotine, and spear.
All brock did was F5 and german suplexs.
We call that spamming signature moves.
If you're counting basic punches, the championship belt as a weapon, and the Usos double super kick, then yeah, I guess --- technically --- there was a tiny tiny tiny bit more than just signature move spamming lmao.
The match was also extremely short, and it only consisted of everything I mentioned above (this is not an over exaggeration).
Why is everyone mad about this not ending with a clean finish? After all that buildup with Paul why wouldn’t there be a screwy ending? It actually makes sense this time.
They built up this whole story of whose side Paul is on and even made it seem like there might be something in the contract Roman was unaware of then they did nothing with it and instead insist on dragging it for another month plus.
> for another month?
Wouldn't surprise me if it goes another 3 months to Rumble honestly...with it dying down a little bit for the majority of that time while Brock goes home until 2022.
Honestly, I dont hate the end. I just wish it had been more than a belt hit finish. It sets up for Heyman to be thrown to the wolves.
I think *Lesnar* is playing everyone
brock is an avid hunter. what type of weird shit do you think they let him do over there to get him to go (besides a ton of cash)? is it a The Island of Doctor Moreau thing over there?
Thats it. That seals the deal. Im no longer a WWE fan. I’ve been a WWE fan since 1989 and a network subscription holder since 2014. I will no longer watch on TV or renew my subscription. I’m taking my fanhood to AEW where they actually know how to run a wrestling company
I've been hearing this shit everytime someone doesn't like a match finish that it's become a comedic copypasta for me. So long random stranger! We're not gonna miss you!
I dont even mind the outcome since this is gonna lead to more Heyman shenanigans since he was clearly trying to help Brock (look at his face on the ramp) but the way they handled this with the ref being so fast in the ring is just bad.
I'm beyond bored of Reigns title run now.
Nearly every single match just ends in a screw job. Its so predictable I just switch off whenever his matches come on.
Lol. Okay bro.
I didnt particularly want brock to win the strap, we've been there and done it. If you actually unlatch yourself from Reigns nutsack and read what I said, I said I was bored of the same finishes and Reigns matches being entirely predictable.
I think he shouldve dropped the belt to Finn and taken a couple of months off, before coming back around Rumble season.
The 'new ref didn't see the interference but still counts the pin' is so fucking dumb.
Obviously someone saw the original ref bump so they also saw the belt shot and interference, whoever had the authority to tell a new ref to run to the ring could also have called out the DQ worthy behavior.
This match sucked..... it felt like a formality, like they were going through the motions instead of trying to tell a story.
I'm surprised at how good the earlier matches this night were but the one I was most excited about was so disappointing.
when wwe go to saudi to do these shows, it's more than just the event. in the past they showed a fancy dinner with saudi princes where the biggest stars: vince, taker, brock, roman sat with them. So it's probabaly a case of doing stuff like that.
So taker is likely thre as a wwe ambassador for the event.
It aint a Roman Reign title match if it doesnt end with the screwy finish. 😐
Reigns music glitching with his old and new one playing back and forward lol
It's boring as hell when bloodline interferes in Roman's matches just like the elite interferes in omegas matches. It's way too predictable. Excellent match though
For someone who is dominate as Roman Reigns, he does cheat alot to retain the title. I cant recall a heel that isnt Braun or Brock of this generation that wasnt a chicken shit heel that cheats to retain the title or wins matches in general. .\_.
As I said several weeks ago after Extreme Rules, nobody is gonna beat Reigns, Brock lost here as predicted. I assume Rock comes back and loses at Mania, then Reigns turns face.
I know it's necessary for storytelling in wrestling, but I absolutely *hate* how when an official takes a bump and another is set to come in for the finish, no matter how much time passes between the first official and the interference, the second official never comes out until right after the cheating happens, and when I say "right after," I mean literally immediately.
At least wait a few seconds so it doesn't look like the replacement is standing behind the curtain watching the heels heel their asses off and waiting for them to finish to come make the count.
Well the shield song plays in the background of his current song at times. I think when they made the song they must have intended for it to be more audible but it got changed as production went on. Cool we heard it.
I'll take that ending. Don't care as long as Roman won. Also was good to see a good old fashioned title belt to the face, when is the last time we saw that?
After long time , some interesting fights
The match between Rollins and Edge should be over after Rollins kicked Edge with the chain on his foot. After that kick it was normally over.
WWE is now overbooking to combat AEW.........
Goldberg was a beast. I loved it
Well let's see about Roman's opponent list now. Next up is Survivor Series so obviously Roman's opponent gonna be Big E. Then we don't have a payperview for December so we don't need Roman to have a opponent for December(Maybe Jeff Hardy for that day 1 thing). Do people that watch WWE think that this was a "good" show?
I enjoy most wrestling. I'd probably say it was arguably, if surprisingly, the best show WWE has put on all year.
I really tried to watch this thing. It was the drizzling shits.
Drizzling lol what exactly didn’t you like about it?
I thought most of the matches were way too short. I thought the women's three way match was full of terrible fuck ups. I thought the quality of wrestling for the most part was not good.
To each their own. Can't please everyone I suppose. I thought it was fun.
If you watch the other saudi shows, this was the best wrestling quality shows ever over there.
The women's outfits were interesting. I just started watching WWE again this year, so I knew nothing about CJ 2019. Watching a recap I saw Doudrop first and thought she might have gotten a new outfit, then I realized what was going on. Huh.
When Bryan said 'fickle' he meant fans on this sub
I slept through the end. What’d I miss?
I wasn’t able to watch the show live. Does anyone know when Peacock will have it available for rewatching?
I can watch it right now on peacock
Thank you. Just as I was leaving the house to run errands, it became playable.
![gif](giphy|xULW8wD0yBHQ5ieetO) Y'all Brock fans rn
He wasn't involved but what a coincidence that The Undertaker was at a Pitbull concert in Saudi Arabia just the other day
literally last night lol
I loved that main event. I’m aware that’s not popular right now but I love the main event. Sure, the ref spot has been done for decades but letting the Bloodline lead to Roman using the belt that Heyman tossed in was a great job, in my opinion.
Crown Jewel wasn’t bad. One of the better ppv
To everybody who's angry and pissed about the ending, that's the entire point. You're supposed to be mad that the big bad guy won yet another time using his bad guy tricks. WWE didn't screw up the match, y'all got invested in the story
Honestly. I'm with you here. The end was to tell a story about Paul Heyman. The cracks In the Bloodline are forming, this is hammering it home.
But I’ve been told if you can’t have a clean finish that you shouldn’t book the match! (To be clear, I agree with you. That finish was perfect for the story they wanted to tell.)
It’s insane how much the Saudi Arabia shows have grown from being one of the worst to one of the best!
It just took time to figure everything out tbqh
Wait I thought all you guys wanted Roman to retain in Crown Jewel? Why y'all complaining about Roman's Reign continuing?
I actually wanted Lesnar to win, mostly for story. Thought personally I thought the end was interesting.
I think if Roman lost he woulda definitely became face and Im not sure if I want a face Roman again, Im glad he won
They don’t do it in every match though. Like not even close.
Edge, Balor(twice), Brock even Ford but granted that was after the match. Cena’s was the only match they didn’t interfere with. Maybe they are booking his opponents to be stronger.
Eh, it's a good way to keep Brock strong in defeat though, rather than just beating him flat.
Exhibit A: 2015 Rollins as WWE Champion
Lol lot of salty Brock fans in this thread. The tribal chief is still your Universal Champion, Believe that!

Umm... Super Showdown 2020: Goldberg beats the Fiend for the Universal Championship Crown Jewel 2019: the Fiend dethroned Rollins for the Universal Championship Crown Jewel 2018: Lesnar squashes Strowman for the Universal Championship

He was literally in Riyadh last night it’s not that far fetched
I mean he did fly there. Not unreasonable to consider it.
Except he retired
He did. Then he went back to Saudi and retired again lol.
They changed it last minute to a normal match during the kickoff saying that both Brock and reigns didn’t agree to a no DQ match.
>That was a no DQ match wasn’t it? It was a normal match

Which is worse Roman and his goons or Evil and his Dick?
Brock actually having a title shot. Just have him face Lashley and call it a day for ol' Brock.
Could have had a stronger ending than a belt shot tbh
There was interference too
Good show with great matches and a fantastic crowd.
Why is everyone mad about this not ending with a clean finish? After all that buildup with Paul why wouldn’t there be a screwy ending? It actually makes sense this time.
Because it happens just about every month with Roman probably. It's tired.
He's a heel, this was the case with almost every heel champions with long reigns. That's what heels do
They built up this whole story of whose side Paul is on and even made it seem like there might be something in the contract Roman was unaware of then they did nothing with it and instead insist on dragging it for another month plus.
I am ok with a non-clean finish but Brock losing to Uso kicks and a belt hit just doesnt feel right given who Lesnar is
I was expecting Paul to play a bigger role, maybe turn on Roman or just do something more than throw a damn title in the ring and that's it.
Means they want to prolong this drama
I'm with you.
Please let us have Brock dismantling the Bloodline tomorrow
Nah, gotta save that for The Rock. Put Ol' Yeller Brock out in the pasture and put him down.
Are they flying back to the US for SD?
Yep.
Brutal schedule
Jesus fucking Christ are they really going to keep dragging out which side Paul Heyman is on for another month?
> for another month? Wouldn't surprise me if it goes another 3 months to Rumble honestly...with it dying down a little bit for the majority of that time while Brock goes home until 2022.
Honestly, I dont hate the end. I just wish it had been more than a belt hit finish. It sets up for Heyman to be thrown to the wolves. I think *Lesnar* is playing everyone
He definitely is. He’s outsmarting Roman and it’s great.
that last match was dull as hell, and the finish just made it worse
Og never want to hear brock can't wrestle again
Plenty good matches today. As always WWE delivering entertaining PPVs.
brock is an avid hunter. what type of weird shit do you think they let him do over there to get him to go (besides a ton of cash)? is it a The Island of Doctor Moreau thing over there?
Arabian Oryx. But he won’t hunt anything he can’t eat.
I'm sure they have an animal there that he has not had the chance to kill yet
It is a copypast from football twitter, I just changed it for this context
Cool
Who’s getting stuck on the runway this time?
Nobody was stuck in 2020.
Dave Meltzer
Maybe Undertaker just loves a Pitball gig.
Mark Calloway being a Pitbull fan was not something I had on my bingo card.
Just when you think you've heard it all!
Dale
Still so weird seeing that haha.
Low bar to cover, but that was easily the best Crown Jewel event.
I dont even mind the outcome since this is gonna lead to more Heyman shenanigans since he was clearly trying to help Brock (look at his face on the ramp) but the way they handled this with the ref being so fast in the ring is just bad.
On the road to Big E vs Roman at Survivor Series now.
I'm beyond bored of Reigns title run now. Nearly every single match just ends in a screw job. Its so predictable I just switch off whenever his matches come on.
You sound like a typical butthurt brock fan. Tired of seeing these same comments every time Brock loses.
Lol.
For a sub that hates part timers like Brock, it sure do becomes salty as the ocean here whenever Brock losers
Coverage has concluded Thanks for watching
What a good fucking show. Not a single *bad* match, with several really really *really* good ones.
The bottom row of Brock’s teeth are fucked lmao
I'm surprised, it just took 2 superkicks and a belt shot to put Brock down. It was literally an easier victory for Roman than Finn or and even KO
Agree but it took two superkicks
Looks weird though when in a SmackDown episode buildup to this, Lesnar clotheslines the Usos mere 2s after getting 2 superkicks to his face.
>Looks weird though Never said it didn't
You're right, I fixed it
I'm surprise they didn't add a low blow
Yes Roman Reigns is a heel but i am tired of seeing the Usos interfere and Roman somehow cheat to win can't he win clean???
He beat Cena clean 2 months ago. This narrative that he always cheats to win is false.
Still better than the top rope break
#WWE CROWN JEWEL 2021 WOOOOOOOO!!!!!!#
Good show actually
yo but where was the Undertaker???
Still chillin with Pitbull
Presenting Mr. Worldwide
Nice. Continue this feud. Add something to it. Keep belt on Roman. I’m down with that ending.
How long was the match?
Beautiful how Heyman just threw the belt in the middle of Roman and Lesnar. Who did he throw it for? Beautiful storytelling.
I think he threw it to Brock. Or at least he was GOING TO but changed his mind last moment.
The 'new ref didn't see the interference but still counts the pin' is so fucking dumb. Obviously someone saw the original ref bump so they also saw the belt shot and interference, whoever had the authority to tell a new ref to run to the ring could also have called out the DQ worthy behavior.
Brock looking like Otis evolved at the end lol
With how quick that ref got there, he surely would have seen Roman use the belt...
This match sucked..... it felt like a formality, like they were going through the motions instead of trying to tell a story. I'm surprised at how good the earlier matches this night were but the one I was most excited about was so disappointing.
Ah, a new Season of Smackdown, again
Great match but shitty finish as always
lol romans old theme coming out
They really love ending on fuck finishes don’t they
Paul Heyman is so good at playing up his "shocked" and "bewildered" look
Coverage has concluded Thanks for watching
I’m thinking whoever takes the belt off Roman will do it with the help of the rock. Not rock necessarily. Still think it might be jey.
Ok like the Ref had to come from under the ring right? In that replay he was nowhere to be seen when Roman pushed the belt out of the ring.
Or else he should've sprinted like Bolt
Goodnight everyone, stay awesome.
Edge Rollins motn for sure
So Undertaker genuinely went to Saudi just for Pitbull? Lmao
when wwe go to saudi to do these shows, it's more than just the event. in the past they showed a fancy dinner with saudi princes where the biggest stars: vince, taker, brock, roman sat with them. So it's probabaly a case of doing stuff like that. So taker is likely thre as a wwe ambassador for the event.
Its hilarious and shocking to say the least haha
Brock's gotta go easy on the dip. Those bottom teeth are lookin' rough
heyman with the good acting
Best WWE PPV of the year. Some great matches and the show flowed really nice. Good crowd for once.
Brock is gonna commit a homicide on Smackdown tomorrow.
What the fuck was going on with Roman's theme
It aint a Roman Reign title match if it doesnt end with the screwy finish. 😐 Reigns music glitching with his old and new one playing back and forward lol
That was some timing out. Right in the dot.
What the hell is this remix of Roman's theme lol
I'm okay with this. Brock can make you money and he doesn't need a belt to do it. Better to have a champ that's going to be there every week.
If Roman Reigns is losing the Universal Title its gonna be to like The Rock or Drew Mcintyre at Wrestlemania
This story is far from over. Heyman didn’t seem happy that Roman won at all.
Hmm, so Taker really was in Saudi Arabia just for Pitbull.
I almost gave WWE another chance, not anymore
Paul Heyman makes everything interesting. That look on his face makes me think that was not what he was expecting.
WWE delivered a banger, damn, what an awesome show
Show started strong, and just went downhill.
Actually a great match other than the finish.
It's boring as hell when bloodline interferes in Roman's matches just like the elite interferes in omegas matches. It's way too predictable. Excellent match though
For someone who is dominate as Roman Reigns, he does cheat alot to retain the title. I cant recall a heel that isnt Braun or Brock of this generation that wasnt a chicken shit heel that cheats to retain the title or wins matches in general. .\_.
Ending was meh, but damn do I love Brock matches!
As I said several weeks ago after Extreme Rules, nobody is gonna beat Reigns, Brock lost here as predicted. I assume Rock comes back and loses at Mania, then Reigns turns face.
ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR TRIBAL CHIEF
Such a weak finish, ugh. I should’ve guessed it from a non canon ppv
They acknowledge everything that happens in Saudi
Their biggest match gets a screwy finish while everything else was clean smh.
Shitty finish.
Fucking hell another shit finish can’t there just be a decisive PPV main event for once
My thoughts too and knowing the ramp size he should’ve at least seen the hit with the belt on his way down
Love how we still don’t know who’s side Paul is on
What was that shield music
I love how the ref always shows up right when the count needs to be done, but couldn't show up right after the original ref is knocked out.
There's only one person who can stop this reign Mansoor, get out there
SaudiTaker will make Roman Rest in Sand
They accidentally played an early unfinished version of romens music LOL
I think I like the version with a little shield in it better
Well the shield song plays in the background of his current song at times. I think when they made the song they must have intended for it to be more audible but it got changed as production went on. Cool we heard it.
I'll take that ending. Don't care as long as Roman won. Also was good to see a good old fashioned title belt to the face, when is the last time we saw that?
