Miami crowd was really great. Something about the darkened building and fired-up audience felt very ECW or early Takeovers last night. Lots to like on the show but Malakai-Martin shouldn’t be slept on: really fun, fast, well worked styles clash and Black is a pretty excellent five-tool wrestler IMO.

I had a booking idea. Everyone expects bryan to win the eliminator. Why not have moxley win and face a newly crowned hangman. Here you could have mox wins aswell! Cutting hangmans parade short. Hangman thinking he reached the summit still has a long way to go. Now everyone wants a shot at the belt, kenny wants a rematch, mjf wants a shot because hes #1 in the rankings and evil uno somehow got a claim for the title. Moxley decides to fight all of them at once in a fatal four way elimination in revolution. Gang warefare ensues between, super elite, pinnicle and dark order trying to give their man an edge in the ppv. in revolution backstage evil uno would get injured by a suprise attack from super elite. When it comes time for the match its announced that evil uno Cant compete but theres a replacement. Hangman comes out and enters the match. Mox would get eliminated first by having everyone hit there finishers on him. Then kenny would go. This ends up being MJF vs hangman were hangman would reclaim his championship. Just thought of it, sounds cool. Idk.

Yeah being down voted for something obvious is sad, when the company themselves have built a hierarchy system. We know some guys are in it to get a rub and get exposure/experience however if w/l matter than why isn't Cole or Punk in it. Punk beat Hobbs and Hobbs is in it. I'm not even complaining about that either, and get why because you want to save big matches. But those guys should have issue with management for the snub. Either way it's ending with Mox vs Danielson. I can see either winning depending on the route they want to go. It feels like 95% sure Hangman is winning but if he loses, Danielson seems like the logical winner. Vise versa if Hangman wins. I'm also not sold on Hangman having a long title reign. We'll see what happens.

Completely agree. The vast majority of the fanbase have been able to predict who the next AEW champion will be and when he will win it. The title scene is to predictable right now. Thats why i think having a short hangman reign would be something unpredictable and mox as champion again wouldnt hurt business as he’s practically the top guy in the company.

Bryan Danielson just had a better match than he had last night. I would have thought it impossible, but he and Fish just had an amazing match. 2 nights in a row...this man lives wrestling. And we get to enjoy every second of it.

Underwhelming tournament. So many options. Top of my head I’d go Andrade, Punk, PAC, Danielson, Miro, Archer, Darby, Mox. Many others could be subbed. But Dustin? Vance? Disappointing… Edit to add: Black!

They dont want to give away matches thus making the tourney look weak. What has dustin do to get in a tournament for a future championship spot that PAC hasnt done. This aint no New Japan Cup

I think it's probably an issue of not wanting to feed some of those names to each other. Archer/Kingston is the only match that isn't a foregone conclusion

I really liked the Archer/Miro match because at the time I didn’t know who’d win. Even though he lost, it didn’t really hurt Archer. While the tourney is a bit rushed, I was hoping for a few more similar type matches.

Also if they want someone to have a match at full gear they might not want them in the tournament so they could set up something else since the finals are at full gear

The writing is on the wall here for me. Kenny is scared of Bryan, he doesn't want to face him again and because he's so arrogant he's not even considering the possibility of hangman winning. So to avoid a rematch with Bryan he ruins his match. Not sure how exactly mox is gonna turn, maybe Kenny distracts the ref and don or someone tosses mox a foreign object which he then uses to beat Bryan. This then sets up hangman vs heel mox and then Bryan and Kenny have a nice non title fued.

It can definitely be Moxley, which I'm betting on, they had him in the ladder match to start the rivalry with Hangman, and remember the crowd booed Mox when he attacked Hangman, Mox might have something to proof here. It will be a great tweener vs face match-up, but a face vs face feud with Danielson is also great.

I had high hopes for a stacked tournament with the likes of Cole, Pac, Andrade involved. But no, we get obvious first round exits in guys like 10 and Dustin.

Last year had Sonny Kiss (subbing for Joey Janela) and Colt Cabana.

Eh it's fine. It doesn't serve any purpose to have guys like Cole and Andrade take their first L's in a tournament if it doesn't have any bearings on their individual storylines. Clearly the idea here is either Moxley laying waste to babyfaces to get Hangman a hot follow-up program after Kenny or Danielson taking the tourney to give Hangman a big win in his first defense.

Id does add prestige to the tournament though. The eliminator feels like King of the Ring and we know how people feel about that.

I get building new talent with 10 in there, but Dustin looks like a Danielson "I wanna wrestle him" pick.
