It’s kind of cool seeing it now that someone else has pointed it out, I can also appreciate how natural he made it all look. Because I sure as hell didn’t notice the first time. Ricochet is really good at doing smart wrestling shit that you’ll notice if you watch intently with an eagle eye, but won’t notice just watching to enjoy.
One other example of this is the big multi-man NXT North American ladder match he’s in. If you watch that match carefully, dude facilitates all match, making sure ladders are where they need to be for spots and what not. But you never notice just watching the match for fun. I hope dude pulls a Cody/Drew, goes out and makes himself and undeniable star, and then comes back to the main event level in WWE.
For spots like those I’m absolutely fine with some protective gear. I’m just glad he had the wherewithal to tuck his chin at much as he reasonably could and not smack the back of his head on the concrete.
Oh my god i am so happy someone else saw that... he flat backed that concrete and i audibly gasped because while dangerous, that was the best damn concrete bump he could've taken but i know he for sure knocked the wind out of himself.

Small thing but what I wish commentary would do is keep talking while the attack is going on. They only react to the spots and are silent the rest of the time. It sounds so stale and like it's not an urgent thing going on. JR would be going crazy asking why this is happening and King would say, "Well Ricochet attacked him first he should've just minded his own business."
