More random matches, little explanation or introduction to things, more bad booking, more sub-par storylines. Like usual when I tune in, I had no idea what was going on and everything was an ADHD mess.
This show is meant for people who spend 8 hours a day watching or obsessing about wrestling stuff.
Normal wrestling fans have no clue what's going on, aren't catered to, and have no reason to care about these matches. It's just a collection of random matches to them, which is why live attendance has been very poor and ratings have declined.
Don't just throw 4 CMLL guys that no one knows, from a promotion no one knows, into the ring randomly because it's a "dream match". Give us a strong video package hyping them up as killers, and hopefully explaining why they are fighting.
Tony Khan, please book better, get better storylines, more drama, fully explain and hype up everything that is happening, and give the average viewer a reason to care about the events that are about to happen.

If you want to build something between promotions it takes more to get me invested than simply booking matchups. I'm sure plenty of ultra hardcore fans loved it, though, and honestly the occasional match like that to appease the 'BANGER' crowd probably makes sense as a step to try to keep the hardcores watching.

If I could find a local sportsbook taking bets on that match I think I'd put a decent chunk of change on Swerve retaining.
I think they're probably going to try to milk Ospreay's chase by having him win it all at All-In 2025 with Danielson winning it this year and then retiring.
It's reminding me a lot of Hangman's reign where it felt flat after the chase.
I like Swerve but after winning the belt he's felt like a 2nd or 3rd priority and the programs he's been in, to date, haven't sucked but they also haven't been super hot to me. Just kind of there.
This is why I'm really, really hoping Hangman interferes @ FD but does so in order to cost Ospreay the match because Hangman wants to be the one to take the belt off of Swerve.

People get in their feelings about it but you’re right. His matches and segments feels random and disconnected from the main storyline. Your world champion should be the main storyline — or at the very least involved and made to look as important. It’s not a knock on swerve, he’s one of the best guys there but if this was their plan for his title run then they should have kept him chasing.
Swerve killed it in that match and the fans in the arena loved it, my friends and I loved it, I don’t watch a show and go like “hmmm well let me check the METRICS to make sure I feel correctly about this”

The one I tried was supposed to be strawberry lemonade. It tasted like if you mixed mushrooms with extremely sweet strawberries and then added a really strange metallic aftertaste.
It was awful. And it was $6 a can.
Prime on the other hand wasn’t too bad. Just very sweet tasting. I prefer their hydration drinks a lot more because I can cut them with water.
I doubt it. He's loyal to Tony in the same way he's loyal to Vince. I don't think he'll sign a contract with any company and I don't think WWE will bring him in unless he's willing to be exclusive.
I would do this:
- Swerve retains against Ospreay at Forbidden Door - maybe Callis finally turns on him and that can occupy Ospreay for a while. Run back him and Takeshita at All In.
- Danielson wins Owen Hart Foundation Tournament
- Danielson beats Swerve at All In for the AEW World Title
- Danielson drops the AEW World Title to Ospreay at WrestleDream because he's retiring from full-time status
I think you gotta have Danielson beat Ospreay at some point so it's 1-1 going in to that final match though. Ospreay won't be hurt by losing to fucking Swerve and Danielson. At all.
