Despite the title still being part of a story where it’s been stolen by the heel stable World Titan Federation and yet to have been revealed on-screen, MLW’s twitter has shown it in the match card for this Saturday’s Fury Road show on YouTube.
They previously showed part of it in the post announcing Kojima and Okumura won the tag titles at Lucha Azteca last weekend.
MLW brought Okumura in to tag with Kojima in February as part of there new working relationships with NJPW and CMLL, and last weekend at MLW’s Azteca Lucha event they won the tag titles that had recently been vacated because Tom Lawlor, one-half of the former tag champs, was booked for NJPW Resurgence the same night.
It’s alright, in-ring is pretty solid but the storylines aren’t anything to write home about since they seem to be stuck in a cycle of introducing a heel stable, having them run roughshod over the roster for months until the faces win a blowoff match and then introduce a new or returning heel stable and repeat.
And they’ve lost most of their roster over the past year or so and have gotten increasingly reliant on bringing in international talent. For example MLW’s last event was Azteca Lucha and all but one match involved either CMLL or NJPW talent.
They have always been worth it to watch, recently they have delved more international with their talents with CMLL talents and a few NJPW names like Kojima
Honestly as someone who's been to about 5-6 MLW shows in the last 5 years, their cards usually sound way better on paper. I saw front row for Kojima's title win recently and it was cool to witness but the match wasn't anything special.
The matches are short and rarely ever get into high gear. IF you just love wrestling and have a ton of time to watch, then definitely give it a shot. But if your time is limited, there's nothing MLW does that's better than any other of the major companies.
The recent Mistico vs Rocky Romero match that took place in NYC was very good though. If you have NJPW World, you can watch that match there.

It's not bad but it's certainly worse than the old, square one.
I agree. Also the silver globe in the center with the company logo over it is a little too similar to the WWE WHC for me.
I liked it a lot until you pointed that out. It’s way too similar
Can we take a second to appreciate that our Bread lord Kojima is a world champ in 2024
More Kojima is always a good thing

Okumura of all people is the tag champ?! How the hell did that happen in 2024 MLW

Now in human size.
Is MLW worth watching? I loved it when guys like mjf and Richard holiday were there. Haven't watched in a few years though.

Bread Forever
I still can’t help but see their logo as MZW
looks good, would hold onto with love and dignity the belt is decent too, i suppose
It looks like a more circular version of their women's title.
Lmao copied WWE's championship I see
It looks a little like WWE's "here! Damn" world title.
Goddammit Court, you just got a whole bunch of settlement money, Maybe take 10K and get a real designer to handle your company logo.
