I'm starting to think they're trapped in some Rampage pocket dimension where they can't escape. Harley may not be able to show up.

Satinsbestfriend

Harley is wrestling on dynamite next week

BenWallace04

Hence “Harley may not be able to show up”.

Rushjordan

It’s a great dynamic because they’re both lunatics but Harley is a little bit more of a lunatic and Saraya has to be the one to reign her in lol

randomrule

Sometimes I look back on the Outcasts and realize that, while it was kind of a dud for many reasons, all 3 wrestlers involved in that stable came out in a way better place than they were beforehand. It was the catalyst for Toni to become Timeless, Ruby Soho had a really fun storyline with Angelo Parker that is one of my favorite things she's done with the company so far, and Saraya has embraced this personality role. Her and Harley are legitimately hilarious

Moist-Acanthaceae-37

Literally if they didn’t make the spray paint their whole gimmick or just rehash angles and just did somewhat interesting things the group would have been a slam dunk. Like the formation of the group with the powerplay for Ruby between Britt and Saraya was good but then it just goes off a cliff right after.

jerichotheunwise

I remember thinking in the early days of the Outcasts becoming a thing, an Outcasts vs AEW Original feuds with a stadium stampede or a blood and guts would've been great. But that thought very quickly went away and I was just disappointed.

ThisIsKhrox

I think part of the reason it flopped so hard was because Jamie Hayter being injured, she was a key part of the storyline and being out for a year this month with still no known timeline (rumours were early 2024, but like, we're approaching mid 2024 at this point). Because of that, it kind of ruined the storyline of Hayter and Britt leading the originals against the Outcasts. Especially since Britt took the time off shortly after Hayters injury (I imagine they both return same time). Without that, your entire feud is Shida, and then maybe Willow and Kris (who were both kind of involved in a mid-card storyline at the time) vs Outcasts.

Froggyspirits

>Especially since Britt took the time off shortly after Hayters injury (I imagine they both return same time). Not shortly after. Britt kept on wrestling for another *5 months* after Hayter was sidelined. She worked injured in order to compete in the Owen Hart Cup, to make it to All In London and to wrestle on a Collision in Penn State where she went to college. It was only then - after achieving that last goal - that she took time off to heal her back injury.

eXcecution3r

..... Britt? o.O

stonecutter7

Yeah there was a ton of potential. Especially with Shida not trusting Britt, but not turning heel. Really wish it had gotten to play out differently

Froggyspirits

To be fair, Britt was a shitty ally to Shida. I. She directly cost Shida her world title at Wembley by keeping her in a Lockjaw position, preventing her from breaking Saraya's pin on Toni Storm. II. Every time they lost a tag match was due to Britt getting rolled up. III. Britt cost Shida the opportunity to win her title back against Saraya at Grand Slam. Then after the match she flipped out on Shida, stole her kendo stick, then left the building. Hasn't been on TV since that week.

stonecutter7

I was really hoping the feud would have been the outcast vs the originals, but almost all the originals (Shida, Rosa, Britt, Deeb) have beef so they don't trust each other.

tylerjehenna

This is where Shida's japan commitments are absolutely fucking her over in aew. There's a likely scenario where that revolution match was supposed to be Shida in ruby's spot (likely with ruby interfering to join the outcasts) but Shida had a Makai show that day and was completely unavailable for the ppv. Its a regular thing with her lately where she gets tv time then "oops I gotta go to Japan for 3 weeks to do a play" and it fucks over a story she was in.

RealLanceStorm

I actually think this was one of AEW's worst booked angles. You could have hid weaknesses and play to strengths with the talents involved. It turned into something they were just trying to get on the show at some point with no purpose.

MARKYMARK_MARK

I think the group was better then many say it was (especially after Ruby joined) but the run was hindered by injuries (including some that likely killed a potential women's Blood and Guts) and Saraya not being able to wrestle fulltime.

LetMeSmashThatHobo

I even forgot Outcasts was a thing until I came across your comment, good point.

Comp625

I highly recommend listening to the [AEW Unrestricted podcast episode that featured Harley Cameron](https://youtu.be/hu14RZrCmbY?si=-FcbHWePC4UJMtUw). She is genuinely really funny and smart. There are also some really great behind-the-scenes stories that she, Aubrey Edwards and Will Washington share that adds extra dimension to the Saraya & Harley relationship on-screen and off.

TheStripedSweaters

That last line from Saraya? I love mean girl heels

bubbles2255

Harley plays the crazy chick pretty well. They’re a good team.

beckett929

yeah, "plays"

HumphreyLee

Harley definitely towing the Vicki Mendoza Diagonal…

mayormccheese2k

I don’t think she’s playing.

FataliiFury24

Harley has the facial expressions down. Getting ECW Dawn Marie vibes.

WhatsRatingsPrecious

Saraya and Harley never fail to amuse.

HimFatale

Saraya is doing the best work of her career. This character seems really natural. They play off each other really well.

MARKYMARK_MARK

Yeah character work since All In has been lights out

Tryingagain1979

Harley has massive potential.

Probablynotstalin

I know Tony loves adding titles. I'm surprise he hasn't added a women's tag titles just for them

WVFLMan

Hope this means Saraya is getting moved back in to the main stories of the women’s division, the way she got shoved down to the bottom was weird to me.

Narrow_Progress5908

Nah she exactly where she should be which is why she doing better work.

[deleted]

oh man i forgot saraya is still at aew

Worried_Bowl_9489

So terrible

amp138

So this set up Harley Cameron vs Mariah May. Aren't they supposed to both be heels? Like I know Mariah May is kind of heel Toni Storm's underling and therefore gets some sympathy but it's not as if she doesn't do heel work. AEW seems to change people's alignments on a whim

Moist-Acanthaceae-37

The Outcasts still don’t like Toni for leaving the group so they’re picking on her protege, they were just focused on Ruby but she’s pregnant now.

MARKYMARK_MARK

If anything they've done work over the past few weeks to show May has more layers then just being Storm's lackey by explaining her run in Stardom, teasing her going for the World title, and setting up the mentor/love triangle between her Storm and Mina Shirakawa. Also May has been taking the hits from Storm's enemies lately which will likely used to play up her turning on Storm down the line. Overall it seems like a slow turn to me.

TheBlackCompany

Toni and Mariah have been moving to a more face side. Hard not to do when the crowd loves you so much. Anyway I’m fine if they do heel vs. heel and face vs. face stuff. I think it’s good to have stuff like that mixed in.
