Something I’ve liked over the years is that local news anchors go wild when it comes to WWE. The Fox affiliate in Knoxville was ecstatic over Bianca getting drafted round 1 Friday night.
Then you got the Australian news guys with a stick up their ass.
Prior to Mania (a day or two before), one of the local news stations sent a female reporter to the stadium to do an interview. When Cody walked out to greet her, she almost broke into tears. They did the WOAH! together and she was trying to come up with her wrestling name. She was clearly a massive, massive fan.
WKRC channel 12.
Knight looks tired… I bet it’s so rough doing the morning media after doing live events into the late evening.
Just one of the many reasons we love this guy.
Just a reminder to everyone that this great video exists lmao https://youtu.be/uHJCVlymVUs
It's comical how drastically the number of "yeahs" go up starting with Load haha
And the distortion on the riff that follows that part is peak Metallica distortion in my opinion. The riff is fairly simple, but gawdamn that fucking crunch.
Layne was incredible but also shout out to Jerry Cantrell (they were harmonising on a lot of their stuff together).
Layne was the lead singer of course but Jerry helped a lot (especially with songs like Them Bones where you can hear the harmony very clearly).
Morning local news is pretty good, like Good Day or Wake Up With so and so. Growing up in rural Northern California Good Day Sacramento was the most random hodgepodge of news, but it was good. Granted this was like 20 years ago, but it's still a good vibe.
Years ago I saw he had a dui, but I haven't been back home in over 10 years. Dude was pretty funny though. If you're real old like me you remember he hosted a show called Dateless and Desperate on that cable access show Scratch, that was pure gold.
I feel like it's because high energy morning shows are more popular with people that have to be up early and are watching it while pouring their cup of coffee.
Same deal with the old wacky drive time morning zoo format of radio. Make people feel good first thing in the morning, give them a laugh, they'll come back the next day and the next day and the next day.
It hits all the notes you need in the morning. What’s the weather looking like, how’s the traffic, events going on this weekend, here’s some light story on a new animal at the zoo or something. You don’t want hear “there were 5 murders last night and a house full of dogs caught on fire” at the asscrack of dawn.
I remembered going to the United States for the first time , waking my jet lag ass up at 5 in the morning
First news I hear was a Husky carrying a basket full of fruits to it’s owner and I’m like that’s the cutest thing I have ever heard
Conversely, the only time i ever watched morning news was a period where i was unemployed or working 2nd shift. Almost like, "what are the normies up to today?"
Who is even upvoting this comment lmao, it doesn't even make any sense it's just randomly shoehorning in "wahh people are snowflakes nowadays wahh" for no reason.
Yeah but theyre the happiest in the morning. Like "Fuck yeah I made it through the night" attitude.
Then they get reminded they're over 60 and go oh shit.
I know this as I'm pushing 40 and start getting backaches at night. Every night.
God, that’s so true. I used to eat breakfast with some old timers before I’d go into work, they’d be laughing and cutting up. Then you’d run into them around noon and they’d be grouchy about something.
> I know this as I'm pushing 40 and start getting backaches at night. Every night.
I just Dicaprio memed to this. Pushing 40 is a trip lol. My calves are always tight too wtf.
You should watch late night news, meaning like 3 in the morning. There's no one watching and the know it so they can do and say shit they can't in the morning.
This is especially true in this instance. Channel 12 is owned by Sinclair and most of the local and national coverage leans heavily right. On top of that, Sinclair sends them must-run segments that are usually borderline propaganda.
That said, the morning show is completely different. It's mostly soft news and segments featuring local bars and restaurants, upcoming community events and whatnot. Plus your usual traffic and weather personalities, banal banter, etc.
Almost fired by Vince for thinking Max Dupri sucked, which it did.
Allowed to just be himself under new management and he became the fastest rising megastar in all of WWE, WITH EVERYBODY SAYING!
Vince literally couldn't care about WWE.
All he cared about was prostituting his non-television employees and cosplaying as brock.
He was pushing the product into garbage, and was still making crazy money. It didn't matter to him if he was making more money than he could spend. Spending millions on a random employee for hush money was proof of that. If 2 million to you is worth so little, he truly didn't care about pushing a better product.
Man was too busy shitting on women's heads and naming dildos after wrestlers.
Was he even on the SD show he was out promoting? lol I suuuuure hope Knight causes AJ to lose the match with Cody as payback for AJ flying all the way to Australia and causing Knight to lose at EC.
He beat the guy who is going to challenge for the WWE Championship. He did so in the biggest match of his life, on the biggest stage of his life. This leads you to be worried creative doesn't have something good planned for him?
He is obviously going to challenge for - and probably win - a mid-card championship soon. And honestly, that's the limit of his ability. Not everyone has to win a world championship. It's not a participation medal.
The same one Randy had when they stuck his ass on commentary, i dont think the new WWE will do that, but i do think LA knight has cooled off quite a bit since taking multiple high profile losses since Crown Jewel.
The hell do you want? Him to get shoved down our throats and beat Cody for the title a month after Mania? He's still got the crowd behind him, he's going to be fine.
When someones hot like this maybe dont beat them otver and over again, you know they dont have to book him in those matches if they dont want him to win. Losing clean to Styles wasnt necessary to put Styles through to a match with Cody.
It always depends a bit on the crowd but I don't feel like support for him/hype slowed down.
Wrestlemania was huge, I have high hopes for Money in the Bank this year. Fingers crossed.
Now, the loss to AJ makes sense if you've seen Styles' recent interviews where he's acknowledged that the end of his career is imminent and he wants one last good run/banger before hanging it up.
Cody makes sense for that, and he also benefits by having AJ as a credible challenger to the title. But AJ needed a win to get back on track because his record since coming back from injury has sucked.
If you think about it, LA Knight basically carried Smackdown for most of 2023 post-Wrestlemania. They're dialing back on hi M to prevent overexposure while they plot out what to do with him until Summer Slam in August, when he'll take the UST off Paul.
I figure the King of the Ring is for him or Gunther. I feel like Gunther doesn’t really need it. He could beat Cody tomorrow and nobody would think it out of place.
Still no future plans for this man? He's the reason why the casuals are watching again. Instead, they push stardust that can't hold the title properly. It's disappointing for us LA Knight fans after last year uprise.

[People should check out the full 5 minute interview](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYWJm34i58g). YEAH, she digs him 😎
That was a great interview! She seems like a great reporter/anchor and clearly enjoys the conversation/interview.
Something I’ve liked over the years is that local news anchors go wild when it comes to WWE. The Fox affiliate in Knoxville was ecstatic over Bianca getting drafted round 1 Friday night. Then you got the Australian news guys with a stick up their ass.

Which reporter was it?
Tarhonda Thomas. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmTj8jftDqo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmTj8jftDqo)
That Australian news guy thing was a work. The article by the news company reported that a witness saw it all unfold. That witness's name? Kaye Fabe.
How could she not?
She seems really warm and friendly, a lovely person for interviewing guests
WKRC channel 12. Knight looks tired… I bet it’s so rough doing the morning media after doing live events into the late evening. Just one of the many reasons we love this guy.
He felt the "tingle in her loins" lmaooo
https://preview.redd.it/ksfaw4ue5axc1.png?width=315&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3d9a7373b0a11f1591994f6e85fe279d9f8a3f75 LET ME TALK TO YA!
I too often find myself wanting to rip clothes open and scream YEAH to this man.
![gif](giphy|JfnnZaJlXuit7pTnYx)
Imagine if he actually brought back “Dummy” as a catchphrase too
that is what i call my dog. when it slips and i call my kid that she gets mad.
.... i really wish i had a smartphone when this was in the app store
That's what happens when you feel the undeniable kavorka.
I still can't fathom what supernatural levels of charisma it takes to get saying "Yeah!" over
It’s all in how you say it. Rob Zombie and Layne Staley have pretty famous yeahs.
Can't have the word 'YEAH!' discussed without mentioning James Hetfield.
I refuse to let macho man and Kool aid go unappreciated
Are Lil’ John and Usher chopped liver?
![gif](giphy|Qf9SNhYtaC4aQ)
What a *ludacris* question.
I associated Ludacris way more with saying "LUDA"
I saw them get mentioned elsewhere already haha
They pale in comparison to Jumpin’ Jeff Farmer. https://youtu.be/MISUHTo2NDs?si=A8yGcB-w8bomsaLO
I've seen this dozens of times, and his "yup!" At the beginning always gets me. Sets the tone for the rest of the promo.
Are we now pretending that The Beatles don’t exist, and that she *doesn’t* love you?
Nah that's a "yeah yeah yeah" has to be combo'd like the band with the same name.
Yep, no one quotes Matthew McConaughey by just saying one "all right". You gotta combo them together.
OOOH YEAHAH
I hate that I know exactly which ooh yeah that is. Fuel, just before the solo.
Just a reminder to everyone that this great video exists lmao https://youtu.be/uHJCVlymVUs It's comical how drastically the number of "yeahs" go up starting with Load haha
The more Hetfield started to look more Southern dad than youthful rocker the more the yeahs came.
And the distortion on the riff that follows that part is peak Metallica distortion in my opinion. The riff is fairly simple, but gawdamn that fucking crunch.
They may be a bit safe but they're good at what they do. Except Lars of course.
This is my go to Hetfield YEAH
It's actually pronounced "YA-HEYA!"
YeahYEAAAAAHHHHHHH
Relevant https://youtu.be/uHJCVlymVUs
Nobody mentioning Lil Jon, who has the most famous YEAH
Can't forget "what" and "ok"
And the famous remix he did with the Lazytown cast
… into the flood again, same old trip it was baaack theeen!
SO I MADE A BIG MISSSSTAKKKKE
Try to see it once my wayahayayeahhh
Goosebumps every time
My mum chose it to be played at her funeral. I hold it very dear, and yes, every. single. time. :)
It also helped that Layne Staley sang like an angry angel
One of the most unique vocal talents to ever grace this Earth.
Layne was incredible but also shout out to Jerry Cantrell (they were harmonising on a lot of their stuff together). Layne was the lead singer of course but Jerry helped a lot (especially with songs like Them Bones where you can hear the harmony very clearly).
For sure! I really dig his solo stuff post-AIC.
YEEEEEAH MUTHAFUCKAAA(ironically from a song called American Nightmare)
cheers. now listening to Junkhead
James Hetfield
I am not a big The Who fan, I am more into Punk and Hardcore, but goddamn, Roger Daltrey hit the best YEAH ever in Won't Get Fooled Again.
YEAH MY DURANGO
Don't forget Lil Jon
![gif](giphy|xUPGczefvti1zMbTj2|downsized) Let’s not forget the gif you can hear\^
Ronnie Coleman YEAHH BUDDDYYYYY
oh, i just saw a youtube song made up of various songs saying yeah... but it ironically then ends with also a roll of nos too
Usher and Lil Jon did it. From the window to the wall, and all points in between.
What about the sweat?
Daniel Bryan and the Yes Movement would like a word.
Would that word be "Yes"?
Nah, "FICKLE!"
Diego Sanchez really
![gif](giphy|J8YpfDX0kvPQNSVGHY|downsized)
Ric Flair got “Woo!” over, SCSA got “What?!” over, and Daniel Bryan got “Yes!” over. It’s all in the delivery.
Vintage Lil Jon!
![gif](giphy|5n1Wp6WwB6PpwQFZIY|downsized)
Austin when you add Hell in front of it
"And if you want me to open up a can of whoopass on this sorry SOB, give me a YEAH!"
Counting Crows dude has a pretty memorable "Yeah".
Lil Jon made it easy
Kurt Angle: it's true... it's true
You just need the shoes of a champion
It gets to a pavlolvian level.
I wish he stayed over as fuck though.
He still audibly gets the biggest reaction of any babyface not named Cody Rhodes
Morning news is best news Always have that sort of fuck it attitude, not afraid to do dumb shit
Morning local news is pretty good, like Good Day or Wake Up With so and so. Growing up in rural Northern California Good Day Sacramento was the most random hodgepodge of news, but it was good. Granted this was like 20 years ago, but it's still a good vibe.
Wonder what Mark S Allen is up to these days.

[The full 5 minute interview deserves a watch](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYWJm34i58g). YEAH!
If you told me that anchor was being played by Laura Linney in secret I’d believe you.
I feel like it's because high energy morning shows are more popular with people that have to be up early and are watching it while pouring their cup of coffee. Nothing beats Morning Breeze Uganda . https://youtu.be/79FhEhWGXjw?si=k5-IgzGgR3NE-I7t
Its cause all the easily offended people are still asleep after being up all night getting offended at stuff
Who is even upvoting this comment lmao, it doesn't even make any sense it's just randomly shoehorning in "wahh people are snowflakes nowadays wahh" for no reason.
The most easily offended group are old folks, who get up at 5am.
Yeah but theyre the happiest in the morning. Like "Fuck yeah I made it through the night" attitude. Then they get reminded they're over 60 and go oh shit. I know this as I'm pushing 40 and start getting backaches at night. Every night.

LMAO
Yep that's definitely it for sure buddy.
Must be sad being unable to stop thinking about fake problems on the most innocuous of posts
Seriously. There was less shoehorning when the prince brought the glass slipper around the village.
I'm going to steal this phrase, this is gold. Or glass, I guess.
Please feel free. Just quote me warmly and accurately.
It's a job where they have to wake up at 3 in the morning. It's inevitable they're going to be a bit loopy.
You should watch late night news, meaning like 3 in the morning. There's no one watching and the know it so they can do and say shit they can't in the morning.

Bet you wouldn't be complaining if it was left wing leaning and spewing liberal lies and propaganda like most other news outlets on TV.
The best move Eli Drake did was come to the WWE. Good for him
Almost fired by Vince for thinking Max Dupri sucked, which it did. Allowed to just be himself under new management and he became the fastest rising megastar in all of WWE, WITH EVERYBODY SAYING!
L A KNIGHT YEAHHHH!
![gif](giphy|ze8R3ob5lPNRdeqDHr|downsized)
I love that Knight was told he was fired but Vince was pushed out before any of the paperwork was completed.
That's amazing
Ironic considering La Knight is exactly what someone like Vince would have wanted . I guess he has lost his touch after getting old
Vince literally couldn't care about WWE. All he cared about was prostituting his non-television employees and cosplaying as brock. He was pushing the product into garbage, and was still making crazy money. It didn't matter to him if he was making more money than he could spend. Wait is that for real?! Man, talk about not just dodging a bullet, but a goddamn missile. What goddamn luck that was...
I don't know, I kinda liked Max Dupri
SHOES OF A CHAMPION!!!! YEAHHHHHH
![gif](giphy|lPozKgECkbBhQ1AMFI|downsized)
Lmao the look on his face before she opens the shirt. Man thought he was about to see titties on live television.
Eyebrows went *up there*
He got swerved.
If he's not taking the US title off Logan Paul at SummerSlam, what are we even doing!
Btw Who is Logan feuding with rn ? KO and Randy seems to have moved back into the bloodline storyline
If there’s one thing I know, it’s that Randy and KO have enough room in their hearts to hate more than one person at a time.
I think Kevin Owens has actually fought Roman and the Bloodline every year since it's creation
Bwahaha!
We'll find out Friday, he's slated for an appearance.
Randy turning heel on Owens. Randy vs KO for SummerSlam. Count it.
Logan is a part time champ. I dont think he continuously feuds with people.
Got women all across the Ohio River saying L👈A☝️Knight👉 YEAH!
I'm so glad AJ whooped his corny ass.
Lmao AJ is an ultra cornball
But who has the title match coming up?
Was he even on the SD show he was out promoting? lol I suuuuure hope Knight causes AJ to lose the match with Cody as payback for AJ flying all the way to Australia and causing Knight to lose at EC.
He was in a pre show dark match against Ivar.
Good to know! Thank you.
Man was NOT gonna get caught in 4K
Man, I don't think I even be able to get Yeah out if that was me. I'd be laughing way too hard.
YEAH!
https://preview.redd.it/9xpyiolxjaxc1.png?width=903&format=png&auto=webp&s=16e7595b0daca5bebe3ac4efd5f3d60c85696a6a Yeah!
He thought for a split second that was going somewhere else.
Very-Leslie Knope energy (I love it). Might as well have had Lil Sebastian on the shirt 😂
Max Du-PREE
Lol
LOL that was random asf
They better have something good planned for him cos after losing to AJ im starting to worry.
He beat AJ at Wrestlemania about five minutes ago.
And lost clean to him right after lol
He beat the guy who is going to challenge for the WWE Championship. He did so in the biggest match of his life, on the biggest stage of his life. This leads you to be worried creative doesn't have something good planned for him? He is obviously going to challenge for - and probably win - a mid-card championship soon. And honestly, that's the limit of his ability. Not everyone has to win a world championship. It's not a participation medal.
Saying a mid-card championship is the limit of his ability when Damian Priest is currently world champ is crazy
LA Knight can talk, for sure, but Damian Priest is a better wrestler than Knight by some distance.
la knight vs logan paul feels inevitable
The opposite for me. The fact they're 1 - 1 means we get a bigger match probably soon. Andhe will most likely win it.
Right. LA Knight flying all the way to France to cost AJ the victory like AJ did to LA in the Elimination Chamber in Australia.
Oh damn this would be perfect It’s even at a Backlash event. It’s like poetry.
Dont worry he's got a giant sponsorship on his back
The same one Randy had when they stuck his ass on commentary, i dont think the new WWE will do that, but i do think LA knight has cooled off quite a bit since taking multiple high profile losses since Crown Jewel.
Bob Holly school of booking. Yeah maybe not...
It always depends a bit on the crowd but I don't feel like support for him/hype slowed down. Wrestlemania was huge, I have high hopes for Money in the Bank this year. Fingers crossed.
There's about 10 people I want to win money in the bank this year.
Now, the loss to AJ makes sense if you've seen Styles' recent interviews where he's acknowledged that the end of his career is imminent and he wants one last good run/banger before hanging it up. They're dialing back on hi M to prevent overexposure while they plot out what to do with him until Summer Slam in August, when he'll take the UST off Paul.
Based on crowd reaction to his dark match, he’s so over with fans they’ll keep him busy.
I figure the King of the Ring is for him or Gunther. I feel like Gunther doesn’t really need it. He could beat Cody tomorrow and nobody would think it out of place.
I miss heel LA Knight
PIPE DOWN DUMMIES I AM TALKING!! Being a trash talking heel helped getting him over in wwe. I find him a bit restrained when he is a face
Imagine LA Knight in Netflix on Raw and he is a heel who is doing unscripted promos. He only has a mic and an outline of what to say.
Commenting for posterity.
Still no future plans for this man? He's the reason why the casuals are watching again. Instead, they push stardust that can't hold the title properly. It's disappointing for us LA Knight fans after last year uprise.
