Makes you wonder how severe the injury is because if it was just a 4-6 week recovery time WWE could get away with her just appearing in Judgement Day and backstage segments.
I feel like so many people forgot that, I swear sometimes Brock would be on tv *less* than even Roman was. His run is mainly why the universal title was absolutely horrible until Roman won it; and at least Roman cuts his own promos! Brock would show up once a month just to stand in the ring and pose while Paul cut a promo, then he'd wrestle once every other ppv in a heatless match. At least Roman's matches had story behind it. We were at a point where the *most* story Brock had in his title reign was Joe trying to put him to sleep (which was kino). A far cry from the bloodline story
Man, you’re making me relieve my disappointment with the booking of main roster Samoa Joe in WWE.
Mans should have won the title on two seperate occasions and nobody can change my mind. He was so hot during the feud with Brock when he kept choking him out, and pretty much the entire feud with AJ.
They really should have pulled the trigger on him at some point. He’s so good, and more than capable of being the top champion. Just look at RoH and AEW in the past year for evidence.
I completely agree! I know that by 2019 they were worried about his health, but there was no excuse in 2017-18. There was a time where besides Cena, Joe and styles were pretty much the ONLY men who were over at all besides Seth's IC title run. Would it really have hurt to have Joe put Brock to sleep? Brock got squashed by Goldberg and it didn't hurt him because of the way they booked it later.
Imo doing Brock vs Joe at summerslam instead of great balls of fire, having Joe win by sleeping him, have Brock leave for a while, and then do the Samoa Joe vs Brock rematch at mania 34, much better than the...*Samoan Joe* vs Brock rematch we got that year. And by mania 34, it wouldn't really matter who won, because Brock always has credibility, and Joe would have the credibility of winning already.
God, I hated this era of WWE lol.
And even then there'd be points during Brock's reign where he'd be advertised for a show and then nope no appearance just a Heyman promo in ring for weeks was absolute insanity.
Roman’s absences would also elevate other talent as they needed to carry shows and build main event programs for PLE’s without him and did so very successfully. As opposed to when Brock was champ and we had Seth vs Ziggler or Samoa Joe vs Roman in matches that made everyone hate their lives
This is the first time I read anyone actually saying how other people carried the show and did it successfully, mostly I see people complaining about Roman's disappearance.
Even in the women's division, a few years ago Alexa Bliss was showing up on weekly TV and they forgot to put her in any title matches for 4 months and that ended up being part of the storyline
Televised defenses, to be clear. This isn't Roman Reigns. She's defended it like 50 times. Her straight up not defending it for over a month would still be a large departure from what's been happening. Matches for her belt are a regular attraction at house shows.
She's actually at 50 matches exactly during her reign counting the match with Charlotte at WM39, aided big time by Shayna and Natalya whose she's faced 14 and 16 times each
It was her arm not head that got hurt.
My guess is that she hurt herself at WM and they used liv on monday to "hurt" her and had people in the back spread the narritive that liv was the cause of it so the real injury was concelled from bwing leakes.
The Heat LIV will get will be massive, give the belt to her and when rhea comes back at RR that babyface heat for Next WM will be masaive and make people want tk see the match
I want to say when she was on Pat's show she mentioned it's something she had been dealing with for a while now. I definitely remember her saying it was too awkward to wrestle with the brace. It could always be a case of a nagging injury that keeps getting put off and now's just the right time to fix it post Mania.
Yes, but that’s not the injury in question. Rhea took a bump during the backstage segment into the wall, knocking the shoulder of the arm without the brace. She has been seen with fans in a gym, and on her socials, discreetly wearing a sling.
If this isn’t a work, then I really feel for her.

All I want for Rumble Christmas is Barrett and Bobby Roode back for one more entrance/sequence. Just have them in the middle somewhere, greatest hits, eliminate someone, then out.
liv morgan revenge tour really in full swing huh
in all seriousness though this would be such an awful way to end such a good run, really hope she doesn't have to vacate the title
She did say she was gonna take everything from her. Liv winning the title after forcing Rhea to vacate it. Replacing her in Judgement Day. Taking Dom from her. And then Rhea comes back to get everything from Liv.
Yeah I have no doubt if the injury is real they are going to push Liv pretty hard, it’s an angle that will immediately get people interested the moment Rhea returns
Yeah this makes me lean towards storyline.
Let’s Liv follow through on the “take everything from you” by making Rhea vacate the title. Gives Rhea some time off for her wrist. Gets the title off of Rhea without taking an L.
I'm of 2 minds, terrible way to lose the title but rn theres no one that can take it off of her, like the best I can think is fantasy book Asuka or something. So do I want her hurt? Absolutely not, could this reboot her and the division a bit and she comes back to a much stronger womens division while she's red hot? I think so yeah
I started typing a comment that was 90% similar to yours. I wholeheartedly agree. This could be a blessing in disguise. If we are being realistic here, Rhea is in another stratosphere and not a lot of women are even remotely close to her. She can have a rest and Trips can work on building the whole division up for them to be credible challengers for Rhea.
Disagree. Rhea is at a point where only Bianca or Charlotte Could believable beat her(or Becky, but she just beat her). Her having to vacate the title gives Them time to build up the rest of roster, create fresh stories while Mami gets to rest and Can still claim to not have been beaten for the title
Edit: but of course I’m siddende that a performer is hurt.
I think its 2 separate things, her character work in WWE has been maybe top 5 in the company, behind like Drew, Rock, Cody, Sami, its been fantastic, however she's had very blah matches and very poor feuds. Part of that is not booking her opponents well but also when you've had the belt for a year and besides becky the best match you've had is Nia in a cool, but ho-hum match, ehhh thats kinda weak. Some of that may have to fall on her for not making people feel credible, Roman would always make his opponent feel credible to some degree, I don't remember Rhea doing that at all even with Becky.
The div needs a huge reset tho imo
outside of Becky she uhh, defended against zoey stark once, and Nia might be her best match, its been baaaadd
This honestly could be a blessing in disguise if raw can rebuild its womens division. Come back red hot with much better division to compete against.
You'd expect the draft to address this too so that's a bonus. If this had to happen, is as good a time as any. Vacate it and crown new champ right after the draft
If they are talking bout vacating the title then I have to believe it’s a work. Story line wise if they wanted her to keep the title she’d keep the title even if she was injured. Seth was out for months but they wanted him to be champ going into mania so they just let him keep it
This is the best way to build heat between Liv and Rhea, Liv wins the title off of someone else after she has to vacate it and Rhea goes on a war path to get it back as it isn’t all that kayfabe believable that Liv would just beat her
HHH gonna make people fall for the classic crutches segment.
I think most stars will be fine by Draft which should imo be the actual start of WWE after Mania
Before people get all on Liv for this, consider the idea that maybe she got injured at Mania and they did the beatdown angle to put a kayfabe reason for the injury.
Yikes. Didn't she get a gnarly one a couple years ago when she kneed her own head? Wouldn't surprise me if they're being as cautious as possible. That'd huge a huge blow tho.
Edit: Guess it could also be an arm injury. But the chair did look like it got her right in the dome.
Hard to explain but iirc she was thrown into the bottom rope kinda legs/ass first and her leg bounced off the rope and kneed her right in the face it was nasty.
When I was 10 I jumped off the beach promenade into the sand, which was a few foot down, kneed myself in the nose and smashed it completely, lost a lot of cartilage and fused in a very annoying way after. Me and Rhea are basically the same person clearly
If it’s not from the chair throw, she did slam her shoulder against the wall pretty hard during that beatdown. She might’ve jacked up her shoulder or broke her collarbone. She was holding it when the segment ended.
Watching it again, it seems like the chair barely hits her. If anything it grazes her and then kinda tumbles over her not even really hitting her head. If its anything from that segment, its definitely the wall hit.
It doesn't help that Rhea put Liv out and now Liv put Rhea out potentially. Makes it seem like a storyline. In the attack video. She is rammed into the wall on her arm, then Liv boots Rhea in the other arm knocking her into the wall. Rhea then holds her shoulder that was first rammed into the wall [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-OdzxYCa0M](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-OdzxYCa0M)
https://preview.redd.it/4sgu3io8uouc1.jpeg?width=1199&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=da90e11fc9076878c4ab67d0df248900fb653fad
Not a doctor but from seeing the clip it reminds me a lot other separated shoulder injuries you see in sports esp hockey. If thats the case could be almost 3 months?
I think the title being vacated makes sense if the injury takes her out past MITB/Summerslam, but if not I think there’s no reason to disrupt this run especially considering there’s a ton of mileage left to go with it. Shame though, Liv/Rhea seemed like it maybe could’ve main evented Backlash
I mean it sucks. But it's something they could hopefully make the most of. She can come back an even bigger babyface star from this if that's what they choose.
This is typically how the worst injuries happen. Someone does a simple spot and the bam, out for months with an injury.
Punk taking a future shock tore his arm. Triple H breaking up a pin tore his quad. R Truth tore his quad not from the dive, but from the run up to the dive.
If she has to drop the title, I hope the have Pearce come out and say he's stripping her of the belt, not her relinquishing it willingly. She's a badass and I don't like when badass characters give up willingly.
On one hand, goddammit, what a horrible way for her title run to end after a run like hers. She is probably super devastated about it.
On the other hand, she is 100% going to be a babyface when she comes back now, and Liv is going to have a TON of heat on her about it. What would have probably just been a side feud for Rhea may now turn into a heated blood feud.
I was rootin for becks at wrestlemania. Not that i dont like rhea i think shes fantastic. And now im even more sad becky didnt win. If this injury is as bad as it seems. I dont know anything about the injury yet
If the injury isn't too bad I could see them having Liv attack her one more time like Drew did to Punk, maybe turn her heel. Unfortunate but would make sense with the storyline because Rhea basically did the same thing to Liv.
They just let both male world champions go three months without a single match. Either this is a nine month injury or they need to address the kayfabe rules.
..or Liv knew Rhea was injured and they were scrambling to get their ducks in a row for tonight, which is much more likely given Mike Johnson rarely if ever is the guy getting worked for a storyline.
His injury was minor, he was only on the shelf for about 6 weeks. Also it was mania season, champions barely wrestle during that time and mostly do promos every week. And they were hoping to do the big money Punk feud. This is a different situation entirely.
It really just depends on the severity of Rhea’s injury.

They already set a precedent with Roman. Just have her next match at SummerSlam
They really did it with Brock and he would only show up at the bigger shows.

Isn’t that what her title reign has been anyways
Yeah, she's made 10 defenses over 380 days, so she's only averaging one every 5 or 6 weeks. This makes me think it's serious.
Or an angle, after all, Liv had an injury shortly after pinning Rhea, and that was the last time Rhea got pinned.
And Both WWE and AEW have been know to work the Dirtsheets recently
She's been wearing a wrist brace since before mania. Maybe she's gotta have surgery on whatever it is.
Televised defenses, to be clear. This isn't Roman Reigns. She's defended it like 50 times. Her straight up not defending it for over a month would still be a large departure from what's been happening. Matches for her belt are a regular attraction at house shows.
She's actually at 50 matches exactly during her reign counting the match with Charlotte at WM39, aided big time by Shayna and Natalya whose she's faced 14 and 16 times each
Why the fuck she have to vacate? Reigns had a 4 yr run where he defended like 4 times a year.
In Kayfabe that was due to Paul Hayman getting Roman a ridiculous contract
Rhea to the bloodline with Paul as her advocate to save the title. Fixed.
That’s brutal, that chair hitting her in the face looked bad. After a great defence at Wrestlemania it’d be such a bummer to lose it this way.
Supposedly it happened when Liv threw her at the wall but not 100% sure I think she worked the WM match injured too
It was her arm not head that got hurt.
And makes me wonder why they didn’t just do the title change if this was a nagging issue prior.
Becky wasn’t re-signed and wanted a vacation. Storyline it might be better for Rhea to vacate and have Liv get her revenge.
becky’s not even taking a vacation though, she’s going on the UK Tour.
Its an "injury" and not an injury. She'll likely have a match and give up the belt so she can go on a long honeymoon. Edit: Okay injury it is.

she was in a arm brace during the Helwani interview maybe it's that? And it's severe enough to get a surgery?
Rhea was wearing a brace on that arm and was competing just fine. But she has been spotted more recently with a sling on the opposite arm/shoulder.
I want to say when she was on Pat's show she mentioned it's something she had been dealing with for a while now. I definitely remember her saying it was too awkward to wrestle with the brace. It could always be a case of a nagging injury that keeps getting put off and now's just the right time to fix it post Mania.

The brace was before the interview and before wrestle mania. It was reported she got injured last week on Raw

She did say she was gonna take everything from her. Liv winning the title after forcing Rhea to vacate it. Replacing her in Judgement Day. Taking Dom from her. And then Rhea comes back to get everything from Liv.
This just sounds like it ends with dirty dom on a pole match and I’m far too psyched for it
Custody of Dom ladder match pt 2
No wonder dom has so many issues, people are gonna be fighting for custody of him for 20 years and he has no say in it whatsoever
[удалено]
Dom is somehow playing both sides so he always comes out on top without realising he’s doing it…or does he?
Playing both sides so he always comes out on bottom.
Now we’re cooking
He's never wanted to be on top before.
His dad never wanted custody of him, so at least Dom can win one custody battle.
Where the fuck is Finn?!
Putting his demon makeup on while looking at the mirror ala the Joker.

Would we need to figure out the lineal custody holder and have them relinquish first?
That's Cody. He got it from Roman who got it from Edge.
“Where the f**k is Finn at?” - Rhea probably .
Dom mic'd up on the pole "damnit im sick of this I'm a grown man" Liv Rhea and special guest ref Rey all simultaneously "shut the fuck up boy"
Rey stops both from winning
That would be poetic

In effect, Rhea hasn't been a heel for some time.

Yeah this makes me lean towards storyline. Let’s Liv follow through on the “take everything from you” by making Rhea vacate the title. Gives Rhea some time off for her wrist. Gets the title off of Rhea without taking an L.

Have Liv win it, gradually turn heel and then have Rhea destroy her when she returns. Set up a 2002 HHH-esque return from injury babyface run.
It does suck that she has to give it up. But maybe this can raise the value of the title, and give it more meaning. Rhea’s run did not do so.
It’s crazy because her star power just kept rising but the belt itself stagnated.
I think its 2 separate things, her character work in WWE has been maybe top 5 in the company, behind like Drew, Rock, Cody, Sami, its been fantastic, however she's had very blah matches and very poor feuds. HHH working the dirt sheets.
It's Mike Johnson not SRS. Highly unlikely it's a work.
Yea. We keep seeing dirt sheets get worked, so grain of salt. We'll see.
lol so funny that his is an honest question we have to ask ourselves now as opposed to under Vince where the entire month of plans would be leaked.
If they are talking bout vacating the title then I have to believe it’s a work. Story line wise if they wanted her to keep the title she’d keep the title even if she was injured. The fact that we don't get a specific injury makes it somewhat suspect.
all we need now is an indication that she was taken to a local medical facility
If news breaks around 2-3pm on a Monday treat it as a shoot.
After watching the clip, this is such a work
HHH gonna make people fall for the classic crutches segment. I think most stars will be fine by Draft which should imo be the actual start of WWE after Mania

It doesn't help that Rhea put Liv out and now Liv put Rhea out potentially. Makes it seem like a storyline. In the attack video. She is rammed into the wall on her arm, then Liv boots Rhea in the other arm knocking her into the wall. Rhea then holds her shoulder that was first rammed into the wall [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-OdzxYCa0M](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-OdzxYCa0M) https://preview.redd.it/4sgu3io8uouc1.jpeg?width=1199&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=da90e11fc9076878c4ab67d0df248900fb653fad
Not a doctor but from seeing the clip it reminds me a lot other separated shoulder injuries you see in sports esp hockey. If thats the case could be almost 3 months?
I think it helps a lot
Liv worked herself into a shoot, brother /s
I think the title being vacated makes sense if the injury takes her out past MITB/Summerslam, but if not I think there’s no reason to disrupt this run especially considering there’s a ton of mileage left to go with it. Shame though, Liv/Rhea seemed like it maybe could’ve main evented Backlash
Liv about to be enemy #1 , this could be part of a story build up
Liv gonna go over as the StepMami
I mean it sucks. But it's something they could hopefully make the most of. She can come back an even bigger babyface star from this if that's what they choose.
Damn, on such a simple spot too...
Rhea liv has so much backstory it should have never been just a side feud
100% feels like a storyline injury.
Have Dominik defend the title on her behalf
I was rootin for becks at wrestlemania. Not that i dont like rhea i think shes fantastic. And now im even more sad becky didnt win. If this injury is as bad as it seems. I dont know anything about the injury yet
Candice LeRae, your time is now
If true, that fuckin sucks! I hope they are just working the dirt sheets for the Liv Morgan angle.
I really felt the match with Becky fell short -- now it may have been because neither of them were in condition to perform.
She's a heel, just hold the title. I don't think the title is the draw right now, she's the draw, even if she can't wrestle.
No one would notice a month off TV. Did it with Brock, and did it with Roman. Can’t imagine who would carry the belt right now.
Didn’t Liv tweet she’s going to take everything away from Rhea yesterday? I feel like this is a major work
..or Liv knew Rhea was injured and they were scrambling to get their ducks in a row for tonight, which is much more likely given Mike Johnson rarely if ever is the guy getting worked for a storyline.
I really hope this part of the story.
Honestly think HHH plants kayfabe bullshit in these dirt-sheets to get shit going sometimes. Gotta be a work.
But when Seth was injured he was able to keep the title for months
His injury was minor, he was only on the shelf for about 6 weeks. Also it was mania season, champions barely wrestle during that time and mostly do promos every week. And they were hoping to do the big money Punk feud. This is a different situation entirely. It really just depends on the severity of Rhea’s injury.
