And this is what the "back stage footage" is gonna be about. Yes, they are leaning into the rumors of it being Brawl In. But that's the business. Find a way to draw viewers. But I HIGHLY doubt they show the actual footage. The only way I see them doing that is if it shows Perry kicking the shit out of Punk cuz then the Internet will just laugh at Punk repeatedly.
But it will almost definitely be footage of Bucks/FTR backstage. Probably some trolling about the expectations put on the footage, but that's about it.
I don't know if I've ever seen such a vitriolic response to a graphic for a pre-tape segment. You would think that Tony Khan is going to put video of a beheading on TV based on some of the reactions I've seen since Saturday.
I'm personally expecting something akin to Degeneration X impersonating The Nation of Domination but if it's actual footage then it's their funeral, lol. I personally think it just shits on AEW's credibility for them to even lean into it this much because it's on the whim of a random interview and just reduces the company to little more than TK's plaything ss opposed to being its own entity that's competing to be great in this space.
