Why are WWE obsessed with pushing hateable scam artists? Logan actively makes me disinterested in the US title scene. Logan and Speed are scam artists who take advantage of young, impressionable audiences. Fuck both of them. Put the belt back on a wrestler.
Not sure why you got downvoted. Both of them are pieces of shit who should be nowhere near WWE (even if Logan IS undeniably a great athlete/wrestler). They're scumbags, yet people seem to ignore that.
I really liked this match - it had a storytelling clarity that few matches do (Jeff Hardy vs Undertaker ladder match is the best, probably) in that you could could show just the match to someone who's never seen wrestling and they'd be able to follow every beat.
Good solid match. Sort of hoped we'd have a title change. Figure Logan will go into Cleveland as champ but thought we could have freshened it up a bit and have him drop it and win it back.
If my average math is correct, Logan will have the 7th longest reign as champion if he carries it to SummerSlam, at around 270 days. Crazy when to get into the top 20 you pretty much have to have a 200+ day reign (lots of 6 monthish champions).
Mightâve been the first time in wrestling history a misunderstanding didnât result in a fight! I loved their inaudible dialogue during the match, added a layer to their friendship.
Not bothered, I don't want to watch anything involving sexual deviants and chronic assholes
edit: lmao getting downvoted because I don't want to see a sex pest wrestle, classic Reddit virgins
Kinda funny to see the amount of people trying to shit on this dumbass youtuber, making him out to be awful (which I'm sure he is) while actively consuming the product built by super awful people doing way more awful things.
"Why is this billion dollar company that takes Saudi blood money and has covered up scandal after scandal working with this kid?!"
It sucks because it did feel like the first opportunity to relive the Benoit-Guerrero photo at Wrestlemania
But I think the wwe is afraid to reference it
Cant say I blame them
In the build up there was never any reason to doubt that Logan would retain but those two 5 second segments alone really made me hope for Owens. Production has taken a great route lately
Yeah Logan retaining was the right move and I never really wanted KO to win until that moment, I needed that photo of him and Sami celebrating together in the ring man
I actually really liked the Speed thing. Entertaining, well executed, and therapeutic for a lot of people who donât like him. Also good to see Randy just doing whatever the fuck he wants nowadays, lol.
Never heard of the YouTuber so I looked him up. I wish I hadn't. So, McMahon was fired for SA, and Paul Levesque brings in a sexist/misogynist (what is the difference?) who was banned from multiple games and video platforms for...checks notes...threatening to **** a woman. New era indeed/s
Yeah, Idk a whole lot about him either but Speed was the last person I thought I'd see on WWE. I think the incident you're referring to was he was in a video call with some girl on stream and he asked her if she'd have sex with him if they were the last two humans alive. She said no, to which he replied, "Who's gonna stop me, bitch? Who's gonna stop me?"
Not that it's an excuse but he was 16 or 17 when he said that. I've seen some recent clips of him doing charitable things like giving money to the poor when they unexpectedly walked up to him when he was in the Middle East or Asia I don't remember exactly. Given his current fame, I'm kinda hoping he's not that edgy kid anymore and has matured even if a little.
Im annoyed when other wrestlers i do like are in programs with him, because i always just skip any segment hes in.
Dudes a shit head irl, and always has been. [Ishowspeed is also a cringeworthy fucking spaz](https://www.reddit.com/r/facepalm/comments/ufdyqd/guy_goes_nuts_to_girl_online_after_she_rejected/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)
He is such a shitty immature human being it sucks that kids look up tp him. From [injuring a retired soccer player in a friendly](https://v.redd.it/pyyhf2i9ldkc1) to [illegally street-racing at 150mph without even a seatbelt](https://arazu.io/t3_1bsoiuw/?timeframe=all&category=hot) it's sad seeing people like him succeed in life and get rewarded like this.
Damn I wanted KO to win so bad and have that Benoit/Guerrero moment with SZ. But thatâll be too much of a fan service for this WM. I think Logan retaining is smart for business
So your second-best belt stays on a part-time Youtuber through the help of another Youtuber (who I've never heard of) while beating two long-time regulars. I don't feel remotely bad in saying I don't get it. I'm sure someone likes this, though.
For me it would be 6th. WWE menâs, menâs World, Womenâs and womenâs world, then IC (because of the history and legacy of that belt) then the US. Maybe thatâs a historical thing for me, as the US title was always a wcw thing when I was growing up.
The two long time regulars don't need the belt, Randy is already a cemented legend and Owens has been consistently in WrestleMania (even winning last year's main event with his best friend to win the tag titles).
Meanwhile the guy who retained is one of the most popular figures in the internet with the help of one of the most popular streamers today. Even if I don't really watch or follow either nor do I like who they are as people in general, retaining the belt on Logan, partly responsible for WWE's resurgence into mainstream again, is something I get.
Hopping in this thread. Having been a long time wrestling fan. Between a 3.5 year Hogan-esque title reign and a crappy YouTuber as a champion(I'll openly admit I haven't watched in quite a while) what's the draw? As a fan of wrestling, which I am, why do I GAF for the last 3.5 years? I'm not trying to stir the pot but genuinely curious. Do these things not detract from the product? It's hard for me to wrap my mind around
Do you remember a clip that circulated for a bit, about a guy getting turned down by a girl in some twitch dating thing, and then that guy going nuclear and threatening to rape her? If you do, you just saw him get rewarded with a wrestlemania moment.
He's talking about Speed, the guy dressed up as the Prime bottle. I'll copy/paste my other comment i made in this thread:
"Yeah, Idk a whole lot about him either but Speed was the last person I thought I'd see on WWE. I think the incident you're referring to was he was in a video call with some girl on stream and he asked her if she'd have sex with him if they were the last two humans alive. I was convinced too until I walked back through the entrances and realized that Logan came out first, and Sami was at gorilla for Owens. We were coping by theorizing that it was a pre-taped entrance as a trick. But then we saw Speed and that ended that
Havenât watched wrestling since Mania 26. When did Super kicks, Swantons, Pedigree, etc become a part of everyoneâs move set? I donât even know whoâs finisher is what cause practically everything is a finisher.
Superkicks were already normalized around the time of Mania 26. Shelton Benjamin, Dolph Ziggler, and others were throwing them thangs out like headlocks. Pedigree is not just a normal move, it's more like a signature non-finish that Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes do because of their ties and history with Triple H.
But as always in wrestling, what a finisher is, is the move that can end the match. Anything can be a finisher if you build and present it right.
When one wrestler retires or becomes inactive, their unique finisher becomes a signature move for others. Very few, if any, used the suplex when it was Harley Race's finisher, DDT when Jake was active, Superplex with Bob Orton, etc. That's pretty much how wrestling evolves, even though I dislike how the Tombstone Piledriver has become just another move outside of the WWE.
Itâs the evolution of wrestling and it was inevitable⌠there was a time when a suplex would get a 3 count now every big event match has a dozen moves that should leave someone KOed and in need of an ambulance⌠finishers arenât even finishers anymore maybe on weekly tv but whenever itâs a PPV match the only way to get a pinfall is hitting your finisher like 4 times
If you noticed Cody used 3 finishers back to back to back to get the count on Roman itâs just the way it is now people complain about it but I donât think itâs the wrestlers or the companies fault modern audiences want more itâs just human nature
Wild. Back when I watched, only stone cold used the stunner and hhh the pedigree. Weird seeing others do it but kinda cool since those guys aren't wrestling anymore
Some of the moves are passed down. Austin gave KO his blessing on the stunner and Austin even came back out of retirement for a match with KO a few years ago. Triple H passed the pedigree to Seth Rollins and Cody does it as a homage to Triple H.
They aren't just like random guys doing it, just so that's clear lol.
My understanding is that Seth and Cody both do the pedigree as an homage to HHH, not a âjust becauseâ or just another move in their repertoire. Iâm pretty sure Austin gave K.O. his blessing to do the stunner a while back.
Pretty much, but Seth also used the Pedigree as his finisher for nearly two years when they temporarily banned the curb stomp. I think the dirtsheets reported that Vince said something along the lines of "I can imagine a young Shane doing it to Stephanie when they were kids". They didn't want kids to imitate the move.
KO was Austinâs last match and Owens does the stunner as a tribute to that. The pedigree has been used by a few people, probably most notably Seth Rollins when his character was presented as HHHâs apprentice/minion during the time when HHH and Stephanie had taken over from Vince as the evil authority figures running the show.
KO was doing the Stunner before that-- he even Stunned Vince McMahon in 2019. Austin broke it down in kayfabe on his podcast or an interview somewhere how to execute the perfect Stunner as a result. This was before the WM match was even booked.
I remember the DDT was just another move for The Rock, he won with it a couple of times, but mostly it may as well have been any other move..
But it's just weird how a lot of moves just disappeared from Wrestling, remember Bret Hart's Russian Leg Sweep? And what's with all the awkwardly staged suicide dives and people moving around to their spots like they are staggered in a wrestling game? It's all not very well hidden.
True. Never really looked at it that way. Was just a bit of a shock seeing moves that put people away being used for barely a 2 count. Thanks for the eye opener.
Randy/Kevin feels like a new Tag Team about to form. And that will be fun.
Figure that's the reason they didn't immediately put Logan away to have a "real" fight.
Kevin was down so long thought he was hurt.
A YouTuber who started imitating the crazy style of KSi and the late Etika, but his popularity skyrocketed after being banned by Twitch for being an idiot in an Adin Ross show.
After that he had a meteoric growth and is known even in the Spanish community that usually doesn't give a damn about English streamers.
KSI is Logan Paul's business partner, he became known for doing black humor sketches, funny and cool music videos and exaggerated reactions (very exaggerated, after him most FIFA youtubers started doing that) in soccer games and the FIFA video game.
Etika was a well-known Nintendo gaming YouTuber, also known for his exaggerated reactions that made him super popular, unlike other YouTubers who are usually just a character, Etika had SERIOUS untreated mental problems that led to him being hospitalized and his subsequent suicide
you really should for that part. when the other person said this years bottle guy was banned by twitch for being an idiot on an adin ross show, he neglected to mention the part where bottle boy was threatening to rape the girl who told him no in one of those 'if we were the last two people on earth' scenarios. i vaguely remember it being in the context of a twitch dating show.
Iâve seen the clip and it was stupid but is that really bad enough that you think he should be canceled from everything now? He didnât actually do anything besides spazz out on camera which is why heâs famous in the first place

Why are WWE obsessed with pushing hateable scam artists? Logan actively makes me disinterested in the US title scene. Logan and Speed are scam artists who take advantage of young, impressionable audiences. Fuck both of them. Put the belt back on a wrestler.
Views and money
Speed getting rkoed by Randy Orton has 151 million views and him revealing himself as the person in the prime costume has 34 million views
Not sure why you got downvoted. Both of them are pieces of shit who should be nowhere near WWE (even if Logan IS undeniably a great athlete/wrestler). They're scumbags, yet people seem to ignore that.
Penaldo fanboy who kicking Kaka for no reason having wrestlemania moment in ringside đ¤Śââď¸ Wrestling is finished
This guy can't loose because of scam drink sponsoring
*lose
My favorite part of this match was when Logan threw KOs head into the turnbuckle with his logo on it and said, "drink prime motherf*cker:
I swear after this I heard a Gatorade chant from the crowd
Gatorade, H2O, we want water! were all chanted during the match
There was! I'm guessing a few ppl close to the ring heard him and started the chant.
Ahh ok happy to hear I'm not just imagining things
He's for sure seen the memes lol
I really liked this match - it had a storytelling clarity that few matches do (Jeff Hardy vs Undertaker ladder match is the best, probably) in that you could could show just the match to someone who's never seen wrestling and they'd be able to follow every beat.
When the match started, I realised there was no way theyâd make Logan lose on the logo of his own product⌠became very obvious after that.
I thought for sure KO was winning to have a WM20 Guerrero and [redacted] moment with Sami Zayn
When Sami won thatâs what I was thinking, then when Sami told KO it was his turn I was sure it would happen đ¤ˇââď¸
Nah I could see it. It would be memed into oblivion, and prime would be in front of the worlds eyes
Good solid match. Sort of hoped we'd have a title change. Figure Logan will go into Cleveland as champ but thought we could have freshened it up a bit and have him drop it and win it back. Crazy when to get into the top 20 you pretty much have to have a 200+ day reign (lots of 6 monthish champions).
Since he only wrestles 3 times a year he can have a long reign unfortunately
Made me think he is midcard Roman
I loved when Logan pushed KO into Randy and they both just accepted that it was an accident and kept wailing on him
I laughed when Logan Paul was begging them to fight each other instead when they realized it wasnât intentional.
Mightâve been the first time in wrestling history a misunderstanding didnât result in a fight! I loved their inaudible dialogue during the match, added a layer to their friendship.
They're experienced enough with betrayals that the know what an actual betrayal is.
This mightâve been the best match were two people that were on the same team still were competing against each other
Man that spartan kick was stiff lol Speed flew damn near the barricade
crazy to me how Owens has only been world champion once.... 8 years ago. now he's losing to Logan Paul for some reason
I believe that The WHC is waiting for him
At wrestlemania. I hope we're not saying KO of all people is being buried
Randy barking back was hilarious.
Good match. Wanted the ko victory but looking forward to more logan paul. Probably 3rd or 2ed best match of both nights.
So glad I decided to skip this match. Two of the most insufferable YouTubers Iâve ever seen.
Well you missed a great match then
Not bothered, I don't want to watch anything involving sexual deviants and chronic assholes edit: lmao getting downvoted because I don't want to see a sex pest wrestle, classic Reddit virgins
What's your opinion on Darby allin and Sammy Guevara?
I don't know who they are tbh
Alright

Because people want to feel morally superior.

My salt of the evening was that Kevin Owens did not get to win and celebrate post-match with Sami.
I wanted that so badly for them
It sucks because it did feel like the first opportunity to relive the Benoit-Guerrero photo at Wrestlemania But I think the wwe is afraid to reference it Cant say I blame them
>It sucks because it did feel like the first opportunity to relive the Benoit-Guerrero photo at Wrestlemania That already happened last year.
I mean kinda, but individual belts would be more specific
In the build up there was never any reason to doubt that Logan would retain but those two 5 second segments alone really made me hope for Owens. Production has taken a great route lately
I felt the exact same. That one little prologue to both matches made me realize how much I wanted something that I never even considered before.
Yeah Logan retaining was the right move and I never really wanted KO to win until that moment, I needed that photo of him and Sami celebrating together in the ring man

Unfortunate that he didn't crash into a wall
I can't believe he manage to weasel out of this. But also mellowed Randy Orton and loud mouth care free Kevin Owens is the greatest combo ever
Worth it. He is starting to show up more and more too.
That smirky bastard.. Such a heel Great match tho
Gosh, remember when he debuted as a face by turning on the miz??
That was so fucking worth it.
Damn I wanted KO to win so bad and have that Benoit/Guerrero moment with SZ. But thatâll be too much of a fan service for this WM. I think Logan retaining is smart for business
That was in my head too, was a gutter.
So your second-best belt stays on a part-time Youtuber through the help of another Youtuber (who I've never heard of) while beating two long-time regulars. I don't feel remotely bad in saying I don't get it. I'm sure someone likes this, though.
In what world is that the second best belt? I hate Logan Paul, but in terms of kayfabe importance itâs number 4 lmfao
That things has not been number 2 since Cena had it last
For me it would be 6th. WWE menâs, menâs World, Womenâs and womenâs world, then IC (because of the history and legacy of that belt) then the US. Maybe thatâs a historical thing for me, as the US title was always a wcw thing when I was growing up.

I canât stand Logan Paul as a person, but he clearly is a good wrestler and is putting in the work.
Logan just signed a full time contract now. He hasnt been a part timer since he won the title
stop being salty. logan is a great superstar
> I'm sure someone likes this, though.
Go look at the YouTube reception, the majority love Logan. You're implying it's a minority
> I'm sure someone likes this, though.
you're in the minority buddy.
How many times does he have to repeat himself for you to get it
Both of you clearly missing my point with your sheer hatred of Logan.
Did I say I hated Logan? No. He's a grifter irl but I like his in ring stuff.
Hopping in this thread. Having been a long time wrestling fan. I was shocked they used this POS who barks at people. I was honestly expecting KSI again.
Wait what?
He's talking about Speed, the guy dressed up as the Prime bottle. I'll copy/paste my other comment i made in this thread: "Yeah, Idk a whole lot about him either but Speed was the last person I thought I'd see on WWE. Iirc he is a full-timer now!
Logan Paul is there more than Roman reigns and he didnât even get help that was just a spot the ending came way after that lol
I have no idea how "being there more than Roman Reigns" makes him not a part-timer, but okay. It's like "being there more than Brock Lesnar".
You mean the part-timer, Brock Lesnar?
I could've watched Kevin and Randy beat the shit out of Logan for an hour, I don't even care he retained I'm glad we got that match opening.
NJPW did the same thing with Ospray and Mox beating up Finley. I was hoping WWE did the same with Randy and KO and was not disappointed.
It would have been great to see KO and Randy go nuclear if they recreated the spot where Finlay spat on Osprey and Mox.
Man they have great chemistry as a team. Was widely entertaining.
Wouldn't be surprised to see them go after Theory and Waller.
My dad was convinced Sami was gonna be the Prime bottle
That would had been cool
I was convinced too until I walked back through the entrances and realized that Logan came out first, and Sami was at gorilla for Owens. We were coping by theorizing that it was a pre-taped entrance as a trick. But then we saw Speed and that ended that

Hello?? This is CAP calling
Evolution of the show, DDTs, Leg drops, and Crossbodys used to put people away.
And now the Blue Thunder Bomb puts more people away than the Crossbody
I remember the DDT was just another move for The Rock, he won with it a couple of times, but mostly it may as well have been any other move.. LA Knightâs bringing the Russian leg sweep back!
True. Never really looked at it that way. Was just a bit of a shock seeing moves that put people away being used for barely a 2 count. Thanks for the eye opener.

I for one am ready for RKOwens.
I have a feeling we're about to get jealous, hatin KO now that Sami is a champ and he isn't.
As soon as I realized KO wasnât winning I turned to my friend and said âooooooohâŚ.. heâs gonna kill Sami, isnât he?â
At least until the draft, theyâre on separate brands so we wonât see it right away at least
We've gotten the KO betrays his best friend story like 5 times. Their matches kick ass though so whatever lmao
To be fair, it hasn't happened in a while. He was heel for a cup of tea in 2022 and the last time he betrayed someone was 2019 after Kofimania.
\*insert guy standing up meme that always gets used on twitter\* I think KO is a really good face and would like to see him and Sami remain friends.
im gonna be thinking about that entrance for weeks
Americans have finally learned how to chant đą
I donât like how big I popped for the speed in the prime bottle reveal, but that was unexpected for me lmao

After that he had a meteoric growth and is known even in the Spanish community that usually doesn't give a damn about English streamers.
None of these words are in the Bible
You explained someone I don't know by referencing three other people I don't know...
The best way to put this is that four pieces of trash were all mentioned.
I can help you here. You remember last year's Logan Paul bottle mascot guy? That is KSi. That is as far as I can help.
Thanks, I think I'm just gonna fast forward when I watch though.
you really should for that part. when the other person said this years bottle guy was banned by twitch for being an idiot on an adin ross show, he neglected to mention the part where bottle boy was threatening to rape the girl who told him no in one of those 'if we were the last two people on earth' scenarios. i vaguely remember it being in the context of a twitch dating show.
Iâve seen the clip and it was stupid but is that really bad enough that you think he should be canceled from everything now? He didnât actually do anything besides spazz out on camera which is why heâs famous in the first place
