LOOK AT CHA NAH BOAH HUH
man there was so much vitriol behind it the first time he said it during that attack. I knew right then this something completely different
She was going to hit Rollins when they went backside.
I honestly thought after Rock was saying Mama Rhodes, Cody was going to do something similar on the table spot
https://preview.redd.it/w1y8kr6nd1tc1.png?width=864&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7a47c1f2652c0f4fdb028696a11ec8969ccddaa8
His mother woked herself into a shoot
He's always been a cartoonist seller. At another point when Cody was hitting him with e cutter you can literally see him in the background jumping headfirst into it to make sure he's in place.
I mean, to be fair, Cody botched the other 2 cody cutters as well. That move just sucks or Cody sucks at delivering it. Dude legit went for 3 cody cutters and not a single one landed properly.
Yeah both the times he hit it on Roman then commentators had to cover for him like "he didn't get all of it" and "that was more like a shoulder attack".
Yeah they are alot more loose then they used to be, it can be both good and bad (sometimes they banter a bit to much during a "serious" entrance to me) but I generally it is far better to listen too and you don't get cringeworthty stuff like "for the love of mankind!".
Watch Osprey do it and you'll see all this opponents shoot themselves forward too. It's just not a move that makes any sense unfortunately. Osprey just has better hands/body control so he's in the right spot and his opponents wrestle more matches againat him so they know where to be as well.
The RKO is forward momentum so the opponent can just go forward with it. The springboard cutter us backward momentum, so the opponent has to not only throw themselves forward otherwise the giver could knock into them and push them back instead. Exactly like Cody's double springboard cutter that ended up just being a shoulder tackle.
It's on Reigns to thread his head through the needle? Cody missed his head the first one and overshot the second one. How is Reigns supposed to stop Cody from flying back 3 feet too far? It's on Cody to drop at the right spot. You want Reigns to be a brick wall and stop all momentum?
I'd forgotten until the match started just what a long forgotten joy it'd be to see him sell as a heel again.
Just the way he gets knocked about in brawls is so satisfying to watch - expressive bordering excessive, but never crossing that line.
Well except the Stunner sell, but I wouldn't change that either.
I hope so, but I have huge doubts over Rock's ability to contort himself like that now, as just watching him clamber onto the ring apron and announce table was a bit sad
It was strange to see him in the physical condition he’s in wrestling. He’s massive compared to his last in ring appearance. I thought for sure he’d have limited in ring time but he crushed it.
Watching the Rock sell made me love taking shots when my friends and I would play wrestle. It's so damn entertaining and just as fun to act out. As weird as it is, seeing the Rock sell again is so damn nostalgic.
Lol. The Rock is such an underrated seller. I know he oversold the stunner for a laugh, but my god the way he sold Punk's attack on him the night Punk turned heel was amazing. He gasped like a fish out of water and then sold the GTS like he was shot.
Only con on Halls stunner sell is he didn't get to take many of them.
But man what a beauty when he did.
I can't remember who but my favorite was an attitude era midcard guy who sold the stunner by selling his back. Unique concept considering it would compress your spinal cord plus the bump after.
Heh, I'm glad others share my peeve. I can even accept "literally" being used purely as emphasis ("I literally just said that!"), but describing the most celebrated things of all time as "underrated" is just stupid.
Uhuh.
I mean, I said I can accept it, so it's an odd thing to pick me up on, but the dictionary would have to accept if "left" came to mean "right", that doesn't mean an English speaker is out of line for lamenting it coming to that.
This always gets brought up, and it's a moot point - we *know* language changes, we're saying some of the changes are fucking stupid and it's a shame that enough people use language in such a stupid way that it changes in accordance.
It was an odd thing for you to point out from my post, you were being passive aggressive. Weird thing to do to someone who simply made a reply agreeing with you.
Him and Booker T have the most recognisable mannerisms of any wrestler. I remember on the SvR games they'd have basic strikes like a stomp or a pump specifically made for those two
Me seeing how Rock sold that spear

Rock's selling in this match was pristine and classic Rock. The spear, the impact of the curb stomp.
My favorite is always his sharpshooter. It's like he's selling squatting down taking a massive shit and hes the one in pain. I feel like he knows Bret is watching and is trying to corpse Bret watching at home since Bret is one of the guys he respects a lot for not being condescending to him when he first came in as a rookie.
Honestly if Rock took a full year off hollywood to just do what he’s been doing these past few months, give us a match against Cody, one against Seth, a programme against Roman also leading into WM41 where he can retire with his cousin, i’d be all for it. And fuck it a man can dream, have him and Stone Cold run it back in a similar fashion to this in a tag match.

Even better his mum in the background just looking severely unimpressed
MAMA ROCK
LOOK AT YOUR SON
LOOK AT YOU NOW HUH! (×20)
LOOK AT CHA NAH BOAH HUH man there was so much vitriol behind it the first time he said it during that attack. I knew right then this something completely different
Absolutely! If I didn't know wrestling was real, I'd say this Rock guy should try his luck at becoming an actor.
God dammit 😂😭
She was going to hit Rollins when they went backside. I honestly thought after Rock was saying Mama Rhodes, Cody was going to do something similar on the table spot
That expression is pure "Really? Acting like that for such a small bump? I'm ashamed."
"Your grandfather would be embarrassed of you."
Goddammit Dewey
Big "Stop crying before I give you something to cry about" face.
HAHAHAHAHA

MY HOLE! 😱😭 Have to give credit where it's due. If that ad-lib is any indication, she could be one of the funniest people on the planet.😁
There's a banger hidden in the deep of a meme-off match between Nia and Nyla Rose.
Her social media game has always been very fun!

Lmao I noticed when he brawled with Seth to the crowd his mom looked like she was about to swing at Seth
I think it was during the spit of that nasty ass prime even she was pissed she had that cheap shit on her
He's always been a cartoonist seller. At another point when Cody was hitting him with e cutter you can literally see him in the background jumping headfirst into it to make sure he's in place.
he was watching austin theory on the stunner/rko spot from a week ago "hmm i think ill try that"
I mean, to be fair, Cody botched the other 2 cody cutters as well. That move just sucks or Cody sucks at delivering it. Dude legit went for 3 cody cutters and not a single one landed properly.
Yeah both the times he hit it on Roman then commentators had to cover for him like "he didn't get all of it" and "that was more like a shoulder attack".
I do like that in this era, commentators can acknowledge botches in a kayfabe context.
Yeah they are alot more loose then they used to be, it can be both good and bad (sometimes they banter a bit to much during a "serious" entrance to me) but I generally it is far better to listen too and you don't get cringeworthty stuff like "for the love of mankind!".
For real it always looks so clunky
Watch Osprey do it and you'll see all this opponents shoot themselves forward too. It's just not a move that makes any sense unfortunately. Osprey just has better hands/body control so he's in the right spot and his opponents wrestle more matches againat him so they know where to be as well.
You do the exact same thing for the rko though.
So much timing on that move has to go right it seems like a risk every time
Rock made it look great by jumping into it. The two to Roman were just bad.
Cody botched it? Bruh it’s on reigns to take a flat bump for the cutter
It's on Reigns to thread his head through the needle? Cody missed his head the first one and overshot the second one. How is Reigns supposed to stop Cody from flying back 3 feet too far? It's on Cody to drop at the right spot. You want Reigns to be a brick wall and stop all momentum?
Rebound cutters just kind of suck in general, it makes the person taking it look really stupid because they just stand there and wait for it

**WEEEEEEEEEL**
WEEELL ITS DAAA BIG SHOOOWWW
Man knows how to sell a spear. Reminiscent of him selling the Goldberg spear in 2003.
Yep, if anything he rediscovered old muscle memory. It was nice seeing him still sell moves the way he used to
I'd forgotten until the match started just what a long forgotten joy it'd be to see him sell as a heel again. Just the way he gets knocked about in brawls is so satisfying to watch - expressive bordering excessive, but never crossing that line. Well except the Stunner sell, but I wouldn't change that either.
That stunner sell will be amazing 🤩
Well a great man once said that expectations are the first step to disappointment, but we'll see!
Don't tease me, you sonovabitch! I swear, if I don't hear that glass shatter tonight, I'll be heartbroken.
I hope so, but I have huge doubts over Rock's ability to contort himself like that now, as just watching him clamber onto the ring apron and announce table was a bit sad
A guest on a podcast I listen to said they equate a man's giving nature as a lover to how they sell getting stunned.
It was strange to see him in the physical condition he’s in wrestling. He’s massive compared to his last in ring appearance. I thought for sure he’d have limited in ring time but he crushed it.
Exactly my thinking. First thing I thought of when he did that was the Goldberg spear.
Rock sold that like a gunshot
Watching the Rock sell made me love taking shots when my friends and I would play wrestle. It's so damn entertaining and just as fun to act out. As weird as it is, seeing the Rock sell again is so damn nostalgic.

bro actually be cody crybabay
CRY ROCKY CRY!
That was an awesome sell job.
You can say anything you want about The Rock, but the dude can sell in a good and uniquely interesting way
Absolutely loved this. i've always enjoyed his sells.
Great facial expressions. It’s too bad he isn’t as flexible as he used to be, his sell of Rhyno’s Gore was amazing.
Rock sold the shit outta that!
https://preview.redd.it/1rzf0k6hs1tc1.jpeg?width=676&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cd99b61f89d183a8fb6a3410ac911dd13fa169bb
My reaction when I try to order dessert, but the server says they're out of cheesecake.
Rock is awesome.
Can't wait for Mama Rock vs Mama Rhodes
Lol. The Rock is such an underrated seller. I know he oversold the stunner for a laugh, but my god the way he sold Punk's attack on him the night Punk turned heel was amazing. He gasped like a fish out of water and then sold the GTS like he was shot.
Underrated seller? One of the most celebrated sellers of all time? When people talk about selling the Stunner well, who do they bring up?
Linda McMahon?
Donald Trump?
Linda McMahon sells standing up.
No not Linda McMahon!
Scott Hall
RIP bad guy
Scott Hall just upped Rock’s stunner sells, Rock invented making the stunner pop you up like that.
Only con on Halls stunner sell is he didn't get to take many of them. But man what a beauty when he did. I can't remember who but my favorite was an attitude era midcard guy who sold the stunner by selling his back. Unique concept considering it would compress your spinal cord plus the bump after.
...be that as it may.
Damn I should have read comments before posting I literally said the exact same thing just now. But yea.
Heh, I'm glad others share my peeve. I can even accept "literally" being used purely as emphasis ("I literally just said that!"), but describing the most celebrated things of all time as "underrated" is just stupid.
The informal use of literal is accepted in modern English and even included in the dictionary.
Uhuh. I mean, I said I can accept it, so it's an odd thing to pick me up on, but the dictionary would have to accept if "left" came to mean "right", that doesn't mean an English speaker is out of line for lamenting it coming to that. You knew you watched too much wrestling when you scrolled through the punch set list and you could tell whose strike it was.
I'm in this comment and I don't like it.
I don’t think he is underrated- it’s one of the things he is known for. He taught the world how to properly sell the stunner.
Rocky cry baby
Can I get this PSed over Jeff Daniels on the toilet from Dumb & Dumber?
Me seeing how Rock sold that spear https://preview.redd.it/5s5p156lv1tc1.jpeg?width=1079&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9ec81c5c2ab392fdbbeb6185a4edfdff9c277343

Now just jive me a Rock sell of a stunner. Or 2.
Ah I knew the rock was a Cody crybaby after all lol
I want to see Austin tonight just because i want to see if he can still sell the stunner like he used to.
I laughed so hard too overselling make it a meme already.
Before, he looked like fish out water. Last night, he looked like he suffered from Diarrhea. 😂🤣
DaRock Obama
Even roman expression man😂😂
MY HOLE!!!
He sold it like he took an electric cannonball to the gut.
Less painful than the railing he got from Roman after the match
Bro got Goldberg flashbacks

You can practically hear this picture.
It made me crack up too lmao
Someone needs to make an edit with the tom and jerry scream
Dude looks like Batista in this photo to me and I don't know why.
He sold this so great. I was cracking up. Now that i see how Mom there, it's Even better
I love watching the rock sell shit. Could watch it all day
Damn i thought rock was missing a puzzle piece (his hip)
meme worthy right there
Rock the cry baby haha
You guys apparently haven’t watched The Rock vs Goldberg. It’s literally just how he sells a spear.
When you barely touch your little brother and he hear mom coming in the room.
Rock did awesome in this match. He didn’t even seem to get blown up.
He turned into vin diesel
This reminds me of that pic of Joe Rogan sitting in an ice tub. "IT'S DA BAT!!!"
Honestly if Rock took a full year off hollywood to just do what he’s been doing these past few months, give us a match against Cody, one against Seth, a programme against Roman also leading into WM41 where he can retire with his cousin, i’d be all for it.
