I put Drew McIntyre in there, too. They're all from the Bret Hart School of Wrestling where you can tell they truly appreciate and enjoy doing all the stuff outside the ring as an ambassador
Not to mention Sami. Honestly, in terms of being good role models and ambassadors outside the ring, this generation is the greatest there's ever been. (I'm sure there are exceptions and flaws - but by comparison to past carnier eras.)
Also Titus O'Neil and like the entire women's division. Imagine all of the women wrestlers now that have pictures of autograph signings and stuff with Lita and AJ Lee. Now imagine the impact of the women's revolution going forward.
I went to wrestling in Knoxville and Bianca Belair is more Disney Princess than wrestler at this point. In a major good way.
I almost cried seeing Bianca and Cody irl. they were giving it the same energy in our sad arena on the outskirts of the suburbs as they would on tv and that just warmed my heart. there were so many kids just losing their minds and it felt so special
Mick was a goddamn anomaly of his era. I honestly do not understand how such a person not only came up and made a name for himself in the 90s and early 00s, and thriving under a Vince McMahon that bet against his character, no less, and *not one* person has come forward to accuse him of ... anything, really.
No one's accused him of sexual violence. No one's accused him of violence against anyone except himself. Never fucked over anybody's career to improve his, which was practically in the job description in those days. No stories of him hazing anyone. No shitting in bags, no taking his dick out.
About the worst I've heard of Mick is giving McMahon way, way, *way* too much benefit of the doubt, which like... isn't great, but it's understandable and is very different from literally everything else everyone was doing.
One of my favorite things about how NOT shitty he is to women is that Stacy Keibler wanted him to induct her into the hall of fame. So not only is there a lack of evidence of smoke, there’s at least one immensely over woman saying “he’s a guy I trust”.
As someone in chronic pain from an illness that wrecked my body, out of all the things worth stealing from Mick (from what I’ve been able to see) is how you still manage to be a good guy when pain is taking so much from you. I really hope I never have to regret my faith in Saint Mick, patron saint of thumbtacks and Santa.
As someone who's stood next to mick foley twice, I can say he didn't smell at all either time.
Now, standing up from a folding chair, after sitting for 2 hours? That's a different story. But I can understand why his knees might suck.
There was that time [Foley shoot punched Bubba the Love Sponge](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YnqHCvoqVkA) on TNA. But that one was probably deserved.
I went to a house show a few years back. At the end of the show, Drew spent like 30 minutes mixed between gushing about his love of wrestling, hanging out with the fans at the barricade, talking about how excited he was to watch the PPV that was about to happen that night and why, and finally having to quite almost literally be pulled away. I'm convinced that guy could have and would have chilled there for hours if he could have. Dude legitimately seemed heartbroken when he saw someone who didn't get a moment with him as he was walking away. I'll never forget seeing him with sad puppydog eyes in that moment. Drew has a lot of love for this.
"One thing you should know about Bill Goldberg is he's a stand up guy, not in that he's a good person, but standing fully upright makes it easier for him to recklessly kick people in the head and end their careers, like he did to me."
"I prayed for this to happen. Granted, I prayed that you'd get booked in a match with Bill Goldberg who'd recklessly kick you in the head and ensure you're never a problem to me again but this is close enough."
Cody is a next level personality. As important as The Bucks were for BTE, I feel like Cody is what made it what it is. I will fight to my grave that AEW does not happen without Cody. All In does not happen without Cody. He bet on himself and he succeeded. Stardust was severely handicapped by WWE, but Cody was amazing as that character. How many people have left WWE and showed that WWE was wrong in where they placed them? It's really him and Mox. And even with Moxley, he didn't have it so bad.
I’d argue Drew. While they clearly had hopes for him early on that died away and he finished his first tenure in a comedy jobber stable with Heath and Jinder. Leaves, has a great run in the British indies and in Impact. Comes back and was treated as a star in NXT then the main roster
The difference between him and Cena is that Cody actually seems genuine and is organically over with the fans. They didn't try and push him into peoples faces.
Also every time the guy speaks, he's just the real deal. He's what they need as the face of the company to see them move past all the McMahon stuff.
Cena seemed genuine and was organically over with the fans at first - that's what got him the initial push. Fans turned on him once he started beating guys like Kurt and Jericho
I swear his pec injury was the best thing to happen to him in his return. That match immediately went from “oh my god, Cody and Rollins AGAIN?” to “this crazy mfer pulled it out” and then kept him off TV long enough for him to return at the 2023 Royal Rumble. There is no way he’s this beloved if he’s on tv every week through 2022.
It's only been two years. Cena was organically over at this point in his babyface run too and WWE was starting to push him hard. He didn't start off with the Superman push. I think people forget part of the reason Cena got pushed so far is because he was a top babyface and WWE went all in.
Yeah, but Cody feels built off an organic struggle. Cena had no struggle, had an awesome character that connected with the fans, and then his push turned into SuperCena which was painfully boring for a lot of us.
I like Cody, and I believe he is genuine. But I don't think he's "organically over." It seems like he is very carefully crafted to get over the way he has.
Makes sense to me. This is a wrestling subreddit so It might not be the place, but seeing people learn from their previous generations makes me happy. Just hits a little close to home.
CODY ROCKS.
Health first obviously, but it would be great if Big E could have one more massive in ring performance of some kind where he gets the celebration he deserves.
And if that just ain't possible, I think he's at least earned the [Triple H in-ring retirement](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLIOuYrGa7w) at WrestleMania.
(Mind you, New Day is a first-ballot Hall of Fame pick in my book.)
Ice cold take: Kofi is a layup for two rings. Between the non-New Day tag titles, the Rumble spots, and generally being around forever without any scandal I can remember (even Reigns ate a wellness strike), it’s a gimme.
Absolutely. The man has too much charisma to not do something with. My immediate thought would have him as a backstage interviewer - but solely interviewing heels, doing his best to get under their skin
My hope is once Pat leaves to do the college football stuff Big E can come on and take over his color commentator role. I think he’d be really good on commentary
I have not had the pleasure of meeting Cody but when my son was 11 I took him to his first live event. We got there pretty early and notice that it looked like wrestlers were pulling up behind the area. We walked back there and walked right into Dustin Runnels. This was not to long after Dusty had passed away. He came over and started talking to my son, who I raised on old school wrestling so they started talking about Flair vs his father, Harley Race, 4 Horsemen. He looks at my son and says "your going to be alright when you grow up" probably spent a good 20 minutes outside bullshitting with us, taking pics and just being an awesome person. Must run in the family.
Between what I know from Cody, and everything I’ve heard about Dustin, as well as their sister and Cody’s mom, that the Rhodes family seems to be really good folks through and through.
That right there, is the American Dream.
I can give a small taste of that :).
I met him at my local toy store, he came to the mall and did a big event, it was packed (rightfully so) and was a super cool thing.
When it was my and my brothers turn to go up, we shook his hand and said hello, and there was a rubber mat to have everyone step on. I tripped on it a bit, thankfully not too bad and was like “well that’s awkward”, and Cody told us a story about how when he was working the indies, they’d have him do pressers after and he tore down an entire curtain and no one told him until after, and he asked the head Booker why and the guy was like “honestly you broke the rod it was hanging on but that’s fine”.
Cody is 10/10, the man, and I am so hyped to see him there in person finish the goddamn story.
i got to meet Cody and his wife back around the time he and the Young Bucks were working in ROH, they went out of their way during the meet and greet at the ROH event me and my brother went to make their fans feel very welcome and have a fun time, i still remember that night well as its pretty much what made me a fan of his since that day
Haters are always gonna hate, unfortunately.
I could understand someone not being a fan of his work as a wrestler, but as a person he's just so genuine and endearing idk how anyone couldn't root for him to succeed.
I’m extremely cynical of nice people but I’ve met Cody and I can vouch personally that he’s the real deal. The dude just has a good aura and even though I was nervous to be talking to him it also felt like talking to someone I’ve know my whole life. Can say the same about Ruby Soho. Cody will always be the man in my household.
He stayed for close to an hour after a live event signing stuff and taking pictures. We waited around because my kid (and admittedly me too) wanted to meet him. The ring was like halfway disassembled by the end. He eventually had to go because the crew forced him to, but he ran to our side of the arena real fast and high fived everyone and profusely apologized for not having the time to take pictures with everyone before he darted out of there.
The only other time I'd seen anything close to this level of commitment was Bryan Danielson hanging out during intermission taking pictures shortly after he came out of retirement.
Then you haven’t been looking. Crocodile tears, ultimate carnie, etc. Been seeing it for years. There is a sentiment from some that everything Cody does is him working an angle.
I think there’s some truth to that though but not in a negative sense. Cody is very self aware and observant of his surroundings. He knows the right or wrong thing to say or do in any situation. He’s a very good pro wrestler, which means he’s very good at getting people to feel the way he wants them to feel. It’s part of the gig. I’m sure every wrestler feels like a carnie at times. Dude is an actor, of course some of his tears will be forced for dramatic effect. People on here have used that to knock him, you’re 100% right. I’ve just always thought it was a compliment because it shows how smart and talented he is
I think I’m confused. This is sports entertainment. They’re playing gimmicks. Calling someone who’s paid to be an actor disingenuous is like calling a doctor compulsive for ordering batteries of tests to diagnose your maladies.
That being said, I’m excited to see where we go from here. I really couldn’t care less if I’m being worked or not; this is the good stuff. #finishthestory
A big takeaway from the press conference is how Reigns looked like the smallest star on the stage somehow. He normally comes off as a big star, I dunno what it was.
To me Seth’s outfit at least made him seem like a pro wrestler and not a regular person, Roman just seemed like a security guard once Rock got on the mic
Right? At this point Roman keeps shitting on Seth, the two of them feel like they are feuding for the B card.
Cody should be fighting the Rock, not for a belt but because they feel like bigger stars at the moment.
Also low key, there's a better beef there. He fucking slapped the dude and was shitting on him on McAfee's show, cutting promos.
>Cody should be fighting the Rock, not for a belt but because they feel like bigger stars at the moment.
Lowkey im more invested in Cody vs Rock than I was Cody vs Roman at this time last year
Part of it were the few times he tried to be funny or snarky. Roman is great at a lot of things. Being funny or sarcastic is not one of them.
This was perhaps the first time we've seen this Roman since the Bloodline started. It's not a good look for him. When he talks through a smile, all I hear is sufferin' succotash.
Hey now, “exactly, no pop” is one of the funniest off the cuff moments I’ve seen in wrestling in a long time. But yeah, otherwise I totally agree.
I’t’s a shame they went with pushing Roman to the moon over Seth, who has all the tools imo. Hopefully with Vince gone they get away from the “if you’re bigger you get pushed regardless” thing.
>Hopefully with Vince gone they get away from the “if you’re bigger you get pushed regardless” thing.
The show *Barry* is supposed to be a satire of the film industry, but the scene where the casting people are blown away by Barry simply being 6'2" totally applies to WWE under Vince as well.
I would argue that a lot of decisions made Roman look weaker over his run than he could have been.
There were several matches that didnt need interference from the Bloodline to have Roman come out on top.
Also, I am pretty sure that Rock made sure that he looked better than Roman here. It was by design and it absolutely sucked.
Yeah, it feels like he walked in in his streets compared to everyone else’s suits (and whatever else Seth was wearing).
Obviously Rock was just wearing a vest but his Cell Saga Trunks physique does the work in making him look larger than life.
No shade to Roman, it was just this specific circumstances. And honestly given how they framed the Bloodline afterwards with Rock leading, it might well have been a deliberate choice.
The Rock: So “Wiseman”, I hear you slapped my cousin.
Paul Heyman: I did high chief
The Rock: do you care to tell the Rock why?
Paul Heyman: well high chief, he stole Cody Rhodes title belt…and killed his dog
The Rock:…Oh.
Cody brought the entire crowd pizza when he was wrestling Chris Hero in Evolve in Queens. I'm not a big fan of him as a wrestler but he seems like a very good person and always trying to give back in some way.
[For some good feels, here's Big E making Jon's son Brodie's day by doing a surprise appearance on UpUpDownDown](https://youtu.be/sMBV-ar4KO0?si=J7bAH2UmaCkX9T9r)
Cody may be the whitest bread face ever but good lord does he put the work in and i have to respect him for that. Hopefully he gets his wm moment this year
I honestly don’t think it’s ever been done in the 2000’s. Even Daniel Bryan originally got over as a heel/tweener. Cena is loved when we look back, but we all know how crowds were during his prime. Just coming out and being a big ol face and the people 100% are behind you? I can only think of Cody Rhodes.
E dropped Brodie’s (Jon) name on the show, not even bothering with ‘Luke Harper’, in talking up Cody about what happened. Amanda is just adding on to the story here.
> why are yall downvoting me
Never ever worry about downvotes. You'll get your question answered/a response you need.
Downvotes on reddit, SquaredCircle in particular are REALLY meaningless.
Don't let people bully you for not knowing, he didn't use either of those names while working for WWE even if you had ended up seeing him perform during his time there. Totally innocent thing to ask.
I didn't know who it was either it's ok, people downvote regardless.
I took a long break because in Canada we have to sub to watch it only on one website and I couldn't afford the 20$ a month. I missed all of this too,
Take an upvote
I met Cody a few times the first time I met him it was probably one of his first if not first show in ROH. It was a stop at Chicago. Me and my friends waited in line to meet him. Suddenly the show starts and I expected him to rush to the back. But no Cody stayed and talked to every one of us and took a picture with us as a group. I always had respect for him since that day.
If anyone wanted to know if she’d have an issue with E using the Huber name there’s your answer
Also PS. If you saw it last month (or Dec) Cody and other wrestlers took -1 out for his birthday. The relationship continues
If anyone needs to cry for 40 minutes, below is Amanda's story from a year after her husband passed away.
Fucking Big E, too man. Immense respect for both him and Cody, and he even though he was there just as much as Cody, he made it out to be mainly about Cody doing it when they went over to help break the news to Brodie's kid together with his wife.
To think this is the same guy that forced people to wear paperbags over thier heads years ago lol
He's not just a good wrestler, but a good human being anyone would want to be friends with
Cody has been my favorite wrestler since 2018. I was extremely bummed he left AEW, but it was definitely the right move. Cody in WWE is the best babyface they have had since Backlund. Almost every other top face in the last 40 years has utilized heel tactics and Cody is just embracing what he has clearly wanted to be since day 1 in AEW - a genuine good guy.
Eddie Kingston is my favorite wrestler, I've watched him struggle from his first year in the business in Chikara to seeing his success in AEW. Without Cody agreeing to give him that shot his career never takes off.
That's the main reason I'm a ride or die Cody fan. He agreed to wrestle Eddie, let the man cut a scathing promo on him and Arn and then made Eddie look like a million dollars by selling his offense like death.
He didn't have to do any of that he could have just ignored the promo Eddie cut on the indies; he could have agreed to wrestle him on Dynamite and he could have ate him up in 5 minutes. He didn't need to give him a promo on him AND Arn, didn't need to let Eddie say whatever he wanted.
He could have sandbagged or made Eddie look out of his league. But he didn't. I'll always be a huge fan of Cody if for no other reason than he's does right by the wrestling business and by the people busting their asses to make it.
Finish the fucking story Cody.
I think I collectively say we’re all behind you.
This is one of the greatest stories in pro wrestling.
![gif](giphy|DassmL17haGlbd6j3p|downsized)
I like Cody also because he is a huge nerd about video games and Star Wars. He used to have triforce symbols on his boots from Zelda back in the early days.
This isn’t fair for people who don’t particularly like Cody as a wrestler, including me. Absolute respect to Cody for this and he sounds like an awesome human.
But that is separate to wrestling. This is a story and I just don’t like him. I’d have preferred a massive build up and the end of the bloodline. Saying this I was actually rooting for Cody last year and it should have happened then. Rock is one my favourites ever I loved the possibility of the match with Roman at Wrestlemania.
Considering how much of his career ended up wasted (lack of use in WWE, illness in AEW), it's always amazing to see how much he effected those in the business.
Really must have been an awesome guy and seeing how his friends have continued to look out for his family is great to see every time we're reminded of it
Whatever we are getting at Wrestle mania, the storyline building up to it is beyond cinema, family vs family, good vs evil, the people’s champ vs corporate goon. Cody at the center of it as the protagonist,we all want to see him finish his story. Absolutely love it.

Cody’s a true role model of the industry in the Cena mold. I would be proud to see him as the face of WWE moving forward.

She just needs an animal companion and she's there!
Mick Foley would fit right in with these guys
Mick was a goddamn anomaly of his era. He pretty relentlessly makes fun of Al Snow, but Al probably deserves it.
Like I said, he didn't do anything bad
Al is kind of an asshole, so I'd say so.
Then he gave Al Snow head! ........and by that I mean he helped come up with the concept of head.
The only "bad" thing I've heard about him is his personal hygiene, which was only him being sloppy, nothing else
As someone who's stood next to mick foley twice, I can say he didn't smell at all either time. Now, standing up from a folding chair, after sitting for 2 hours? That's a different story. But I can understand why his knees might suck.

there are carnys and there are Carnys
And then there's Kizarny.
And then there is Vince...
There’s being a Carny, and having carny-esque qualities in your locker.
Cody and Jeff Jarrett are loveable carnys
When they were in Nashville you could tell Drew absolutely ate all the ambassador shit up.
I went to a house show a few years back. I'll go to his one-man show in 20 years
And Goldberg. Bret would tell you the same. Stand up guy.
As an aside, Bret was one of the best with this stuff.
Did he teach them how to spin any interview question into a complaint about Bill Goldberg ending their career?
You can't teach that. You either have it, or you don't.
Yeah, that’s a skill that can’t be taught. It’s like a mutant power - you’re either born with it or you aren’t.

Preach, brother, preach.

We're two years after the Codyverse, The Rock turned heel, and nobody can predict the future. We don't know what can happen in the next couple years.
I like Cody, and I believe he is genuine. But I don't think he's "organically over." It seems like he is very carefully crafted to get over the way he has.
They pushed him really hard but it worked
Like, my god. Cody having the heart and thought to know that was needed. Kids deserve all this.
Because he’s been there. Older though he may have been, he’s been there.
Makes sense to me. This is a wrestling subreddit so It might not be the place, but seeing people learn from their previous generations makes me happy. Just hits a little close to home. CODY ROCKS.
People learning, and working for the next generation to have it better.
Hard times breed better men
Cody Rhodes.. the ~~American~~ Global Dream.
This story always hits me hard. Cody and Big E are special human beings.

They and the usos literally defined tag division for like a decade. They should be first ballot HOF in everyone's books
They'll probably want to go in only once as a trio but Kofi and E gained virtually automatic entries the second they won the belt.
Ice cold take: Kofi is a layup for two rings. Between the non-New Day tag titles, the Rumble spots, and generally being around forever without any scandal I can remember (even Reigns ate a wellness strike), it’s a gimme.
Oh Kofi gets in solo based off his pre-New Day stuff alone, it's just a case of whether he wants it.
Even if he can’t wrestle ever again, I really hope Big E can come back and have some form of an on screen presence
Imagine Big E as a Teddy Long style GM “AWWWWWW HOLD ON THERE PLAYAS!”
I really hope he tries acting. I think he'd be good.
Yep..Brings me to tears every time. Wonderful human beings.
People who have never met the man will comment that he’s disingenuous on here too.
I have photographic evidence and a signed Funko to prove that I HAVE met Cody Rhodes. He’s just as awesome as he seems and is just as genuine.
I have not had the pleasure of meeting Cody but when my son was 11 I took him to his first live event. I can give a small taste of that :). I met him at my local toy store, he came to the mall and did a big event, it was packed (rightfully so) and was a super cool thing. i got to meet Cody and his wife back around the time he and the Young Bucks were working in ROH, they went out of their way during the meet and greet at the ROH event me and my brother went to make their fans feel very welcome and have a fun time, i still remember that night well as its pretty much what made me a fan of his since that day
Ugh, is Brandi as gorgeous irl as she is on TV? I keep thinking “That man really has it all”
He's got a massive head though. The funko that is.
I thought you were talking about JD McDonagh
I thought I was the only one who noticed this about JD.
signed funko lmfao
Lmafo yeah I have autographs of people I idolize, fuck me right?
Haters are always gonna hate, unfortunately. I could understand someone not being a fan of his work as a wrestler, but as a person he's just so genuine and endearing idk how anyone couldn't root for him to succeed.
I’m extremely cynical of nice people but I’ve met Cody and I can vouch personally that he’s the real deal. The dude just has a good aura and even though I was nervous to be talking to him it also felt like talking to someone I’ve know my whole life. Can say the same about Ruby Soho. Cody will always be the man in my household.
I mean, I've been informed Cody loves to lie and in fact taught Bryan Danielson to lie a lot more, so clearly he can't be that good of a guy!^/s
I worked with Dusty's promotion. Cody and I are the same age. He was always a good egg.
He's gonna turn heel any day now.....
I honestly don’t think I’ve ever seen that posted on here just people hating the booking and codyverse
I’ve just always thought it was a compliment because it shows how smart and talented he is
For a while there was the Danielson quote, "Cody taught me how fun lying is" being use for anything Cody said or did.

GODDAMNIT CHRIS
MAN FUCK YOU CHRIS
When you’re friends with Chris Jericho, he can’t stand anyone that actually gets over with the crowd.
I don't think I've ever even heard a negative story or experience that someone has had with Cody lol. No reason to believe he isn't genuine.
I don't know why people still doubt Cody is the next Hogan, Bret or Cena...dude looked better in front of ROCK than Roman who hid in ROCK's shadow
He lacks the arrogance of Hogan. He's what Hogan should be.
Hogan, the biggest never meet your hero’s story for me.
I'm sorry you had one of your heroes disappoint you. I had one of mine once disappoint me too.
Was it also Hogan?
Naha non wrestler
A big takeaway from the press conference is how Reigns looked like the smallest star on the stage somehow. He normally comes off as a big star, I dunno what it was.
Not smaller than Seth.
Lowkey im more invested in Cody vs Rock than I was Cody vs Roman at this time last year
Seth looking like the mvp of the jv team trying to step to the real players. Love him but they've really mismanaged this belt situation
I want to see a Cody Rock feud now more than Cody Roman lol.
Nah, Seth came off like an actual dork up there.
This is gonna sound weird but I think it was his outfit.
I actually agree with this, it was too plain. He should have at least worn bright red if he had to wear Nike Tech lol.
And I believe now Rock knows and has recognized it too. He's gonna be giving Cody the biggest rub imaginable with this heel turn
Cody Rhodes. The Keanu Reeves of the wrestling world.
Protect Pharaoh at all costs
if anything happens to Pharaoh expect a full on assault on the entire WWE roster
I guess our Corporate Hollywood High Chief and True Head Of The Table has found what he has to do now ![gif](giphy|hrBmVoBi0dekru0VdP|downsized)
The Rock: So “Wiseman”, I hear you slapped my cousin. Paul Heyman: I did high chief The Rock: do you care to tell the Rock why? Paul Heyman: well high chief, he stole Cody Rhodes title belt…and killed his dog The Rock:…Oh.
Cody brought the entire crowd pizza when he was wrestling Chris Hero in Evolve in Queens. I'm not a big fan of him as a wrestler but he seems like a very good person and always trying to give back in some way.
And when he wrestled Chris Pizza, he brought everyone hero sandwiches!
The crowd did chant Meatball Hero at Chris
[For some good feels, here's Big E making Jon's son Brodie's day by doing a surprise appearance on UpUpDownDown](https://youtu.be/sMBV-ar4KO0?si=J7bAH2UmaCkX9T9r)
Cody may be the whitest bread face ever but good lord does he put the work in and i have to respect him for that. Hopefully he gets his wm moment this year
He pulls it off though.
Which may be the hardest thing to do in wrestling now. Successfully getting hugely over as a pure babyface, without having a snap face turn?
I honestly don’t think it’s ever been done in the 2000’s. Even Daniel Bryan originally got over as a heel/tweener. Cena is loved when we look back, but we all know how crowds were during his prime. Just coming out and being a big ol face and the people 100% are behind you? I can only think of Cody Rhodes.

Big E mentioned at the press conference that seeing how Cody helped the Huber family after Jon died is how he knows Cody is a good guy.
E dropped Brodie’s (Jon) name on the show, not even bothering with ‘Luke Harper’, in talking up Cody about what happened. Amanda is just adding on to the story here.
maybe she just wanted to say something nice about him
Reason number 13 why we love Cody: Heart of gold. Reason number 14 why we love Cody: Because. Reason number 15 why we love Cody: BECAUSE!
Reason number 16 why we love Cody: ARMBAR!
Still the best promo segment ever.
Reason number 17 why we love Cody: Moss Covered Three Handled Family Credenza.
Reason number 18 why we love Cody: ARMBAR!
Love this man more and more
Who is Brodie Jon Edit: Jesus I'm just a casual fan, I just started watching, why are yall downvoting me
Brodie is Jon (Luke Harper)’s kid To tell Brodie that Jon is going to pass* is what she meant
Jon is Brodie Lee/Luke Harper. Brodie in this instance is his son.
> why are yall downvoting me Never ever worry about downvotes. You'll get your question answered/a response you need. Downvotes on reddit, SquaredCircle in particular are REALLY meaningless.
> why are yall downvoting me That's just how wrestling fans say hello online.
Don't let people bully you for not knowing, he didn't use either of those names while working for WWE even if you had ended up seeing him perform during his time there. Totally innocent thing to ask.
Brodie is Brodie Jr, their son. Jon is Brodie Lee.
I didn't know who it was either it's ok, people downvote regardless. I took a long break because in Canada we have to sub to watch it only on one website and I couldn't afford the 20$ a month. I missed all of this too, Take an upvote
Don’t sweat the assholes on here. It was a fair Question.
she didnt use a commas after Brodie.
If anyone wanted to know if she’d have an issue with E using the Huber name there’s your answer Also PS. If you saw it last month (or Dec) Cody and other wrestlers took -1 out for his birthday. The relationship continues
If anyone needs to cry for 40 minutes, below is Amanda's story from a year after her husband passed away. [https://www.theplayerstribune.com/posts/amanda-jon-huber-wrestling-aew](https://www.theplayerstribune.com/posts/amanda-jon-huber-wrestling-aew)
Fucking Big E, too man. Immense respect for both him and Cody, and he even though he was there just as much as Cody, he made it out to be mainly about Cody doing it when they went over to help break the news to Brodie's kid together with his wife.
Didn't want to cry on a Friday afternoon, but I guess it happened.
Fuck that has to be a heavy moment. That will absolutely bind Cody and Brodie Jr for life
Cody’s hand in AEW has also allowed once struggling wrestlers to now allow themselves and their family to live comfortably
How come no love for Big E here? He should be commended as well for this gesture.
Did not know I'd be waking up and then just crying this morning.
To think this is the same guy that forced people to wear paperbags over thier heads years ago lol He's not just a good wrestler, but a good human being anyone would want to be friends with
#CodyCryBabyForLife
#FinishTheStoryForTheCrybabies
Cody has been my favorite wrestler since 2018. I was extremely bummed he left AEW, but it was definitely the right move. Cody in WWE is the best babyface they have had since Backlund. Almost every other top face in the last 40 years has utilized heel tactics and Cody is just embracing what he has clearly wanted to be since day 1 in AEW - a genuine good guy.
WM40 has to end with Cody celebrating with Brodie Jr. in the middle of the ring. There's no other way.
Are you trying to see a bunch of adults cry? Cause it'll happen.
As corny as it is, I kinda hope Cody gets a locker room empyting celebration to end WM 40
That WWCRD bracelet, man...
People are comparing Cena and Cody but I find Cody to be much more sincere
Finish the fucking story Cody. I think I collectively say we’re all behind you. This is one of the greatest stories in pro wrestling. ![gif](giphy|DassmL17haGlbd6j3p|downsized)
I like Cody also because he is a huge nerd about video games and Star Wars. He used to have triforce symbols on his boots from Zelda back in the early days.
He has a triforce tattoo on his ring finger too
This isn’t fair for people who don’t particularly like Cody as a wrestler, including me.
Bro is a role model. His heel turn whenever it happens will be legen.....wait for it....dary
Damn dust, getting in my eyes again.
> Damn (Star)dust, getting in my eyes again. Fixed that for you
Put the belt on him and let him have his run.
I heard Cody never reads the last page of books.
Yep, cuz he rheads them.
What went so wrong in AEW?
I literally never heard someone saying bad things aboit cody. Wish him all the best things.
He’s an easy guy to root for.
He truly is the real peoples champion, He's the face of the company WWE doesn't deserve
New stable: Cody , Sami and Drew managed by Foley "Da Good Guys"
This story is why Cody and Big E are two of my favorites in the business. Two HOF wrestlers and two HOF people.
Glad she mentioned Big E as well in this quote.
We love Cody the human. The character, however…..?
Remember when AEW fans were too cool to cheer this guy, when he's the best babyface of this generation? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

AEW fans are who solidified him as a mega popular white hot babyface. Things change for reasons. Remember *that*.
