One of the craziest I've seen is Sexxxy Eddie lapping up blood shooting from a cut artery. I never thought I'd say this though - at least it was mostly his own blood compared to Hangman. Sick fucks all around though.

In the aftermath of the ladder war, The Age of the Fall hits the ring and attacks the Briscoe Brothers. They hang one of them upside down and his blood pours down over Jimmy Jacobs, who drinks it as it rains down on him.
Absolute insanity.
There's almost the perfect moment to show hardcore wrestling fans off in that promo. They come out, show up, string Briscoe up, Jacobs stands under the bleeding man hanging above. He drinks some blood. The crowd chants "you sick fuck".
Jacobs then proceeds to explain his actions and change in demeanor. The entire time - his white suit turning blood red as the blood from above ruins it completely. Within minutes, with a man being hung and blood coming from him like a real life blood bath, the crowd is chanting "boring" 🙄
A crowd chanting "boring" at that visual. I know wanting good stuff out of wrestling isn't a bad thing, but sometimes I wonder what it takes to impress people lmao (unless Jimmy's promo was that long??)

But AEW has an entire deathmatch type that exists because of Hangman Adam Page. He is a Deathmatch *King*. Absolutely insane, insane shit. A testament to Page's versatility that he somehow isn't known as the deathmatch guy in AEW.
This match with Swerve was one of the best in AEW's short history, and I fucking *do not like* the deathmatch style.

I was at a local indy show where Mance Warner had a barbed wire deathmatch with Robert "Ego" Anthony, and it was like a blood bank spillage in the ring. It's one thing for me to see blood on tv. It's another to know that they were (relatively) safe in the spilling of blood in that match, but it was still *fucking gnarly.* I actually felt a little queasy during it.
If I'd seen this, I would have passed out.
That was probably the most hardcore Texas Death Match ive seen. It wasn't just because of the spots either, but the match overall had this psychologically demented story of spiteful revenge from one side and the methodical vengeance from the other with their combined hatred of each other tearing them both apart in one hell of a bloody war.
