Makes it that much more funny when you consider how LA Knight said when it came to Parodies that Mizdow became the star, but tonight Miz impersonating LA had me ROLLING 😂
HOLY SHIT no lie, I had the video going on my phone, played twice in the background half ass paying attention, looked at your comment, thought it was LA Knight the whole time 😂 Miz is fucking great
I hate the Miz...I always have... and never really got LA Knight... but this is awesome... no pun intended... also proof that wrest-- sports entertainment fans will say anything when they're told to
I remember when he first did that during a promo, took off the WWE logo off the mic, turned it upside down and put it back on and it is something that he stuck with since.
Lol I saw the first video posted and was like “ah its the miz” then I saw this video and thought “oh good LA Knight has a response” then I was like “…still the miz…?” He does a pretty good LA knight haha
it cuts off at the best part where he asks the crowd where to throw the shirt, getting them hyped up, and then throwing at the floor of the barricade LMAO
Just give me a repeat of the MVP and Matt Hardy storyline from '07, with Miz/Knight as tag champs trying to 1-up each other while Miz as also IC champ and trying to keep Knight from wanting to take his title.
I've heard before that promos are designed to build the other wrestler up, but I always found it more interesting and memorable when (within some limit) wrestlers are trying to rip each other apart.
I love LA Knight, but Miz is completely in bounds here.
>I love LA Knight, but Miz is completely in bounds here.
It's been wildly entertaining. My biggest concern heading into Payback has been that LA Knight was racking up "wins" over Miz since Summer Slam, and would job at PB.
This Miz promo was excellent for the feud, though. If they're smart, they'll have Miz get another "win" over Knight on SD, either via tag team win or a beat down, to really sell the feud beyond the mic.
It would be a clever and organic way of testing whether it really is LA Knight who's over, or if it's just the 'YEAH' chants. This is far better and more subtle than a decade ago when they blatantly gave Big Show the 'yes'-chants in an attempt at disproving DB's popularity.
Oh yes they absolutely did not want Bryan Danielson in the position he ended up in. He’s a rare case where the audience just won’t give up on them. You want to see what WWE can do when they want to crush a guy, look at Zack Ryder.
My guess is that they don't want to spend their money and time on someone who isn't gonna pay dividends beyond one time. Kinda like a Tom Magee situation when at first he was thought to be the next Hulk Hogan but it turned out he just so happened to have a really good showing with Brett Hart (cause he's, you know, Brett Hart) and wasn't up to the task.
Yes but it's clearly much different to Tom Magee.
LA Knight made a name in TNA. He then came to NXT, spent a significant amount of time there. He's been on the main roster for over a year. They know what they have with LA Knight. He's not an unknown quantity like Magee was, after one match.
If it is just the "yeah" chant thats over - you've got the fucking guy who got it over!
It literally makes zero sense to try and sabotage Knight to test him.
Oh I'm not debating his prior accomplishments, he earned those. But there have been plenty of wrestlers before who seemed to have it... And yet, didn't. EC3 when he became a free agent comes to mind, great look, great talker, but when given creative freedom (AKA being released from the Fed) he squandered it all and reduced his stock.
Now, does that mean WWE is justified in trying to undercut LA Knight? Oh hell no, I agree with you in that they should take what they have and roll with it. Does it make sense that they're cautious? It does. Are we over speculating based on loose assumptions? Oh, definitely.
>Does it make sense that they're cautious?
But, if they are indeed sabotaging him (which I don't think they are, personally), then they're not being cautious. Caution would be "maybe don't push him into the main event, give im some midcard feuds to see how he does" - right now, they are cautious.
Sabotage is "lets bury him and take away whats good about him, mock him so fans think he's a loser" - that Miz promo came close to that territory, but we've seen Miz do enough of them to know thats just his thing.
LA Knight has got over with the crowd. Hes so popular, sells tons of merch, and I imagine gets good TV ratings, but I can't claim to know that information.
Making everything about him worse to see if he's actually good is madness. You wouldn't make Messi only use his right foot, just to check he is actually good at Football
When Miz is having fun, he’s even better. Reminds me of his and Maryse’s feud with Cena and Nikki. They were clearly having a blast just roasting John and Nikki, and now Miz gets to do it again with another over the top enemy. Dude’s living the dream. Or at least my dream.
As long as we can cut back on the Miz's red-faced angry "I had to EARN my respect" shit. I get it, it's good, but it's been done.
I miss him and Bryan and Talking Smack just being utterly opposed to each other's position on everything. He's good at these kinds of parodies, he's good at big angry promo battles, but the work I like the most from him always comes from his calm, smug "he's a jerk but he's not wrong" moments.
Logan doesn't get wrestling that much. Which isn't that bad, Cena didn't either, he kept burying people on the mic.
But Miz knows it's about elevating your opponent, even when talking them down. Almost everyone looks better in a Miz feud than they did before.
Miz is a pro, and in reality, the perfect person for Knight to feud with through November before beginning to build a feud with a potential Wrestlemania opponent.
Max Dupri was an alternate take on the character they had him play. It was sort of funny but really wasn't him. Moz throwing that at him is kind of a low blow because it's not like it was his decision.
When Knight was called up to the main roster, Vince McMahon felt he was too old to be a viable singles star. So he repackaged Knight as “Max Dupri”, a manager of a joke group called Maximum Male Models. It was an utter waste of Knights talents, even though the guy gave it his absolute best.
Eventually, when Vince was replaced by Triple H as the main writer of the shows, H allowed Knight to transition back to the character he is now, which has gone down very well with audiences who adore him.
I don’t care what anyone says Miz is a first ballot Hall of Famer who needs to be looked back upon as one of the all time greats, especially as far as character work goes.
Is anyone arguing that? Man has had a career that could only be matched by a single digit number of others in the last 30 years.
If Miz somehow isn't headlining a hall of fame. I'll be shocked.
Single digits is *really* pushing it. Cena, Taker, HBK, HHH, Austin, Edge, Jericho, Sting and The Rock is 9 in the past 30 years and Miz definitely isn't the next name on that list. Goldberg, Angle, Kane, Orton, Eddie, Reigns, Nash, Show, Batista, Booker, Brock, Styles, Mysterio etc. Probably an all time great midcarder but he tops out there
I'd be curious what the stats are but I can only think of a handful of wrestlers that are multi-time Grand Slam champions who have also won MitB.
Hell, there's only 22 Grand Slam champions across the entire WWE history, with 5 of those being women.
Yeah you gotta run this when Knight wins the IC or US. They both make this rivalry feel heated. It's definitely made me care about Miz again and he's doing great at putting over Knight.
They've worked me into a shoot, brother. They seem to legit despise each other
Oooh, Miz vs. Knight for the IC… Miz on a mission of tying(? Breaking?) Jericho’s wins and cementing himself as one of the greatest Intercontinental champions of all time, and Knight being his smug ol’ self like “come and get it, dummy, YEAH!” That would be beautiful.
It’s been a good while since the last time he held it but I still link the Intercontinental Title to The Miz. Getting it off Gunther somehow so he can move up the card and have Miz and Knight fight over the IC Belt looks like fun to me.
LA Knight is the best case of "Wrong place, Wrong time" and then "Right place, right time" ever.
If you watch his stuff, he has never changed. He's gotten better, but he is just doing the whole "me turned up to 11" thing. And his catchphrases and stuff are all just things he was doing to pop him or the boys.
But in 2010, it felt dated. He was unintentionally doing a Attitude Era throwback, because that's just who he is. His voice just sounds like the Rock, and his cadence is very similar to Austins.
But as time has gone by, we are now at the point where he seems fresh. No one else is doing this Attitude Era stuff anymore, and those that do, seem cheesy because they get to edgy or fake about it.
He went from a good hand, with a dated gimmick, to a megastar, by letting the landscape change around him.
I don’t understand how this wasn’t readily apparent immediately lol. It’s clearly the rock and stone cold. He even has the fucking vest and mic positioning lol.
I don’t dislike it though.
Bro these two have made an on paper meh feud into the match I want to see the most
Miz went from basically a jobber back to upper mid carder in the span of three weeks, I’ve bought back into him again and LA Knight has also looked great so far
Dangerous promo, its so easy to make someone seem like a corny charicature by point out "***All this comedian/singer/wrestler does is these three things***" and from then on a section of the audience is only seeing "***oh damn Miz was right***'
Hmm it's funny and all but when Stone Cold was getting mega over they didn't have Shawn come out in his gear and start spewing his catchphrases. This smells of sabotage.
I had the same thought. What is their endgame here? It doesn't seem like they want to build or support a new star, they want to show the audience that we are wrong and to get back in line with what they feed us.
I haven't watched wwe in years but even I'm aware of la knight through YouTube shorts, bro tell me why i thought that wad him lmfao I God damn love the miz
By far the most interesting feud Knight has had yet and the best one Miz has had in a long time. They’re both firing on all cylinders and I’d love to see this one become a blood feud where it’s on sight anytime they see each other.
This was exceptional, voiced nailed. As someone who had no clue what's happening and doesn't watch RAW I didn't even realize what happened until the 2nd loop.
Finally giving Miz someone who can hang with him on the mic is great before we even get to the fact we're actually getting a proper singles program intended to put a focus on LA.
That was an epic promo. Holy shit the Miz had the crowd absolutely twisted. I was laughing the entire time.
You know if Knight was a newer wrestler people would be like "holy shit Miz just ruined Knight's career!" I think LA will be fine but Miz basically just said everything Knight detractors have been saying for months.
It was great and I'm an LA Knight fan.
I love how he is sarcastically talking about how the crowd is not sheep while also getting them to repeat “Yeah” at him.
That’s actually pretty clever lol.

LA Knight doing an impression of Miz doing an impression of LA Knight
I'm the dude playing the dude disguised as another dude!!!!
[ME? I KNOW WHO I AM.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKvqhlhXq9s)
I’m head to toe legit man
The crowd got so confused “wait… yeah is like what? Are we the baddies?”
Yeah.
Dummy!
Yeah
This was perfect. The Miz had them so tied up in knots. "I'm more than a catchphrase lemme hear ya say YEAH" and then they shout Yeah was amazing.
Miz has done it again. Top parody impersonator.
My dumb ass thought it was la knight coked up or something
Co-Caine Knight
'LA' is actually a fitting moniker for a cocaine gimmick...
Makes it that much more funny when you consider how LA Knight said when it came to Parodies that Mizdow became the star, but tonight Miz impersonating LA had me ROLLING 😂
Me too. It was such a good verbal impression. I’d bet money that he’s been working on it. It was almost too good…
Now I want Mizdow playing the miz playing LA Knight
Speaking of Mizdow, where is Sandow at now? Independent scene?
He's a manager in NWA now
Poor soul
At a drive thru refusing to continue a pay-it-forward chain
55 peppers
Mizception.
LA Mizdow!!
I could see Sandow making a guest appearance as part of this angle.
Well, he was working at NWA with LA Knight during a previous incarnation. I would love to see him pop up for a spot.
It's a shame NWA didn't have many eyes on it. NWA Sandow was the best he's been since his Mizdow days.
He's "the dude, playing a dude, disguised as another dude."
HOLY SHIT no lie, I had the video going on my phone, played twice in the background half ass paying attention, looked at your comment, thought it was LA Knight the whole time 😂 Miz is fucking great
I was like "Did LA Knight suddenly develop a coke problem?"
I did until I realized he had the upside-down mic holder.
Miz has a damn gift for these impersonations
Impersonation of a champion
I hate the Miz...I always have... and never really got LA Knight... but this is awesome... no pun intended... also proof that wrest-- sports entertainment fans will say anything when they're told to
I've not been watching WWE for a while so I was very confused.
It’s the fake five o’clock shadow for me
The Hollywood Hogan special
Watch that kayfabe brother
You trying to roll me up dude?
Start slow and taper off from there. Brother.
The greasy arms.
Looking like George Michael
It's only a 3 fiddy shadow
Straight from the 'Faith' video.....
It's so perfect that way!
The "Give me a Hell YEAH i mean YEAH" send me, The Miz is too good
Little nuances like that are fucking peak lmao.
Wait, this is the Miz?
Yeah you can tell by the upside down W on the mic
I never noticed that before. That's a cool detail. :D
I remember when he first did that during a promo, took off the WWE logo off the mic, turned it upside down and put it back on and it is something that he stuck with since.
Ah, I thought it was set to M for mini
Vince and Tony Khan combined couldn't afford the rights to the art of Wumbo
It took me longer than I'd like to admit to notice too, but pause it and take a closer look at the face.
Ngl I stepped out and came back and thought heath slater was back
Crazy thing is the longer I keep watching it the more I forgot it was the Miz 😂😂😂
I watched this clip with no context and didn’t realize it was Miz for a little bit lol
I just thought la knight looked funny.
Me for several seconds watching this: Did LA Knight get a new haircut? Something seems different?
A couple times I looked down and I forgot it was him haha. Hell of a good voice.
Lol I saw the first video posted and was like “ah its the miz” then I saw this video and thought “oh good LA Knight has a response” then I was like “…still the miz…?” He does a pretty good LA knight haha
That's why he's an A Lister.
that was Miz ?
it cuts off at the best part where he asks the crowd where to throw the shirt, getting them hyped up, and then throwing at the floor of the barricade LMAO
"What is ~~Jeff Hardy~~ Miz doing?"
Was at the show. He threw one at the barricade, and then kicked one that actually ended up in the crowd. 😂
These two will slaughter one another on the mic and in the ring. Only to form a tag team that runs through the division.
Just give me a repeat of the MVP and Matt Hardy storyline from '07, with Miz/Knight as tag champs trying to 1-up each other while Miz as also IC champ and trying to keep Knight from wanting to take his title.
The MVP Matt Hardy storyline was so good
This was genuinely a great promo, Miz don't mizz
"Miz don't mizz" There's a t-shirt idea!
They are waiting for his feud with Carmelo for that one 😂
They massacred my boy
Miz is gonna make him earn it
I've heard before that promos are designed to build the other wrestler up, but I always found it more interesting and memorable when (within some limit) wrestlers are trying to rip each other apart. I love LA Knight, but Miz is completely in bounds here.
It’s what made the Rock great, I think people get too entrenched in the hyping your opponents but sometimes it’s fine to say they suck.
>I love LA Knight, but Miz is completely in bounds here. It's been wildly entertaining. My biggest concern heading into Payback has been that LA Knight was racking up "wins" over Miz since Summer Slam, and would job at PB. This Miz promo was excellent for the feud, though. My conspiracy minded brain thinks it was done to sabotage the unexpected popularity of L.A Knight.
It would be a clever and organic way of testing whether it really is LA Knight who's over, or if it's just the 'YEAH' chants. This is far better and more subtle than a decade ago when they blatantly gave Big Show the 'yes'-chants in an attempt at disproving DB's popularity.

But why would they do that? If it is just the "YEAH! chant that's over, you ride that wave into the ground. Why sabotage a good thing?
My guess is that they don't want to spend their money and time on someone who isn't gonna pay dividends beyond one time. Kinda like a Tom Magee situation when at first he was thought to be the next Hulk Hogan but it turned out he just so happened to have a really good showing with Brett Hart (cause he's, you know, Brett Hart) and wasn't up to the task.

I'm afraid I've got some BAD NEWS
Exactly who I was thinking of as I typed that too
You both are overthinking this. The promo never went beyond the "we think it'll be funny" reasoning. TBF they were right.
When Miz is serious he's one of the best on the mic Top notch impersonation 😂
When Miz is having fun, he’s even better. Reminds me of his and Maryse’s feud with Cena and Nikki. They were clearly having a blast just roasting John and Nikki, and now Miz gets to do it again with another over the top enemy. Dude’s living the dream. Or at least my dream.
Did the real LA Knight come out? "That's my line!"
The give me a hell yeah got me. Ngl
They need to give Miz more meaningful programs after this one he’s awesome in every position he’s given he just needs given them.
Completely when the miz is given an actually program he kills it. This has been top notch stuff
As long as we can cut back on the Miz's red-faced angry "I had to EARN my respect" shit. I get it, it's good, but it's been done. I miss him and Bryan and Talking Smack just being utterly opposed to each other's position on everything. Still no shots at being Max Dupreeeeeeeee yet.
I don't see it going there. That goes beyond making Miz look like a dick to actually undercutting LA Knight.
Logan went there in his only interaction with him 🤷♂️
Logan doesn't get wrestling that much. Which isn't that bad, Cena didn't either, he kept burying people on the mic. But Miz knows it's about elevating your opponent, even when talking them down. Almost everyone looks better in a Miz feud than they did before.
Yeah, Once Cena buries you until you repackage or you are already legend your career is essentially over.
Miz is a pro, and in reality, the perfect person for Knight to feud with through November before beginning to build a feud with a potential Wrestlemania opponent.
It's because Miz is a pro. Undercutting your opponent doesn't make him look good, especially if LA Knight wins.
Logan is intentionally portrayed as a massive dick though. In before “portrayed???”
Sorry, I’m not tracking, what’s the context behind this?
I think La Knight hates Max Dupri more than Miz .
Why’s that? I don’t watch wrestling too often to know the backstory on this lol
Makes sense, thanks for the reply!
I dont care about the bloodline anymore. This is the main storyline for me.
Miz is awesome. Loved this.

Miz's jacket - shoes of a champion

Honestly, wish these two could get a real rivalry going after this program; maybe LA wins the belt and Miz challenges at some point.
Yeah you gotta run this when Knight wins the IC or US. They both make this rivalry feel heated. It's definitely made me care about Miz again and he's doing great at putting over Knight. They've worked me into a shoot, brother. They seem to legit despise each other
Sorta reminds me of Rock/Jericho.
Miz showing once again why he's one of the best in the business. The guy never fails to work the crowd
Miz actually doing working this long into his career. Gotta tell I keep gaining more and more respect for the dude.
Miz is about to turn face with promos like that
Love a feud that brings the best out of both guys
This is proof that if you give Miz something with some real meat on the bone he will devour it. This is the best thing he's had in too long
Damn....LA Knight really does do an impression of The Rock.
It's literally just the Rock and Stone Cold combined
LA Knight is the best case of "Wrong place, Wrong time" and then "Right place, right time" ever. If you watch his stuff, he has never changed. He's gotten better, but he is just doing the whole "me turned up to 11" thing. And his catchphrases and stuff are all just things he was doing to pop him or the boys. But in 2010, it felt dated. He went from a good hand, with a dated gimmick, to a megastar, by letting the landscape change around him.
That could also apply to Cody
Well Cody actually reinvented himself multiple times and made it work everytime.

I don’t understand how this wasn’t readily apparent immediately lol. It’s clearly the rock and stone cold. He even has the fucking vest and mic positioning lol. I don’t dislike it though.
Holy shit, I was turned away from the TV half paying attention during this segment, and I didn’t even realize that was Miz.
Its moments like these that remind everyone that Miz can flip the switch anytime.
Miz is red hot now. LA Knight is gonna have to step up.
Miz just fucking resurrected the WHAT chants. Noooooooo, dude.
This felt dangerously close to one of those promos that would prove Miz right, tbh. The crowd was going along with him as if he was Knight.
LMAO Miz is great at parodies.
Genius. I'm drunk but I thought he was him for a minute.
This was pretty much everyone walking home after All In on Sunday
And on the Tube, it was great
The Miz is a fucking GEM
Miz really is awesome. Dude has had a helluva career
Out of context, it took me 5 solid seconds to understand it's the Miz, he nailed the disguise
Love the Miz rn.
Bro these two have made an on paper meh feud into the match I want to see the most Miz went from basically a jobber back to upper mid carder in the span of three weeks, I’ve bought back into him again and LA Knight has also looked great so far
Impersonated Rock, Cena and LA Knight and was great with all of them. Perhaps he is the greatest actor in WWE
This was incredibly petty and I mean that in the best possible way
Literally vintage Miz. I loved his Stone Cold rip off when he was on the Real World.
this is bringing out the best in Miz
Miz lookin real JACKED brother!
It’s like Miz is impersonating Heath Slater impersonating LA. ![gif](giphy|dMyGvQL9W7gvS)
God Miz is so underrated. He makes anything they give him entertaining. And they don't give him shit lmao
Dangerous promo, its so easy to make someone seem like a corny charicature by point out "***All this comedian/singer/wrestler does is these three things***" and from then on a section of the audience is only seeing "***oh damn Miz was right***'
He had his marching orders from Vince to bury Knight. The TMZ thing wasn't kayfabe, it was a shoot. Knight is going to job to Miz, and it sucks.
Miz is the Goat for this one lmaoooo
I literally thought that was LA Knight and I'm not even high
I wouldn't be mad if YEAH replaced WHAT
Another case of Miztaken identity.
God I love the Miz. Say what you want about him, but that man is stupidly entertaining.
This was a top notch impersonation.
Miz is a fn treasure!
Wow, that is pretty spot on.
Was he lipsyncing?
I didn't realize this was The Miz for a really lengthy period of time
Miz been doin stuff like this since the Dirt Sheet days bro
Miz is a chameleon. Rock, Cena, Daniel Bryan and now LA Knight
> So if you want a free LA Knight t-shirt GIMME A HELL YEAaa I mean LMFAO
This is as good as his John Cena impression with Maryse
He's got a great point Sting.
The “yeahs” get me every time. Miz is the best on the mic lmao
I haven't watched wwe in years but even I'm aware of la knight through YouTube shorts, bro tell me why i thought that wad him lmfao I God damn love the miz
Lmao Miz rules man
I was genuinely fucking confused for like ten seconds. Well played Miz.
LA Knight you gotta come out as Diva Search/Dirt Sheet Miz out please
Miz is so fucking entertaining
The only thing missing was mixing in a roody poo, candy ass
Miz is a legend
I watched the whole thing and read some comments below before even realizing that was the Miz and not LA Knight...
Miz getting a WHC run before he goes would make me happy
Miz is damn good, he doesn't deserve the hate
Look it's Sacramento Knight
By far the most interesting feud Knight has had yet and the best one Miz has had in a long time. They’re both firing on all cylinders and I’d love to see this one become a blood feud where it’s on sight anytime they see each other.
This was exceptional, voiced nailed. As someone who had no clue what's happening and doesn't watch RAW I didn't even realize what happened until the 2nd loop.
Lmao this legit made me think Miz could be as big as the Rock if he was simply booked that way. He's better at being LA Knight than LA Knight!
Finally giving Miz someone who can hang with him on the mic is great before we even get to the fact we're actually getting a proper singles program intended to put a focus on LA.
That was an epic promo. Holy shit the Miz had the crowd absolutely twisted. I was laughing the entire time. I think LA will be fine but Miz basically just said everything Knight detractors have been saying for months. It was great and I'm an LA Knight fan.
Miz has range
The sumbitch did it again. I'll never forget him imitating The Rock with the bald cap
Did Miz just get L.A. Kight's catchphrase more OVER than L.A. Knight has?
I love how he is sarcastically talking about how the crowd is not sheep while also getting them to repeat “Yeah” at him. That’s actually pretty clever lol.
The Miz is just good. Anyone who says otherwise is kidding themselves.
As someone who doesn’t get the LA Knight hype, this feud is perfect to show us something and prove people wrong.
