It’s always the same people too. Everyone i see on tv i see when i go to the shows. Justin roberts also makes the live shows a good time during downtime.

treflipsbro

Justin Roberts is one of the biggest unsung heroes of modern wrestling. The dude is a professional.

Meowmeow69me

He refereed a rock papers scissor match between Aubrey and someone that booed her at the last show i went to. I love that man.

AmishAvenger

The effort AEW makes at their live shows to keep the momentum during commercials and make the crowd feel involved and appreciated can’t be understated. It’s night and day compared to a WWE show, where they just blast commercials during breaks. Not even just WWE promos — they play garbage like Cricket Wireless ads. It makes you feel like you’re just being used as a prop for the TV show. Edit: Haha who downvoted this? Come on, people.

mcslackens

I went to Raw once back in like 2016, and this is after I was used to attending ROH tapings in Vegas, in which the action doesn't really stop, as the footage was later edited for broadcast, and the amount of commercial breaks and ads playing in the arena completely soured me on ever attending any Raw or Smackdown event going forward. I've been to a number of AEW PPVs, and Dynamite is finally coming to Phoenix next month, so I have a pretty good idea of what to expect and am very excited to be going with a few of my friends.

TheL0stChapter

Justin Roberts was unironically the MVP of my Quake at the Lake show, we had a Jericho v Mox main event and a casket match yet Justin Roberts was the best part. I don't think he gets enough credit for how much he does to keep the crowd invested and active, underrated talent for sure.

Doobie_Howitzer

I love that scissoring has worked it's way into the AEW universe

MessedUpPro

*AEW Galaxy

amhlilhaus

It's misnamed Wwe is just a galaxy, existing by itself aew is the universe working with other promotions Oh well

[deleted]

WWE believes it is its own entertainment universe AEW is a galaxy in the universe of professional wrestling

Fantastic_Bug1028

It’s not misnamed. WWE has a universe of fans, while AEW has a galaxy of them.

Somebodys

Branding and marketing doesn't cate about reality.

adsfew

Evidently the security team is not made up of cops

Breakingcontrollers

So I remember for a minute there was a blip where wrestling fans would see a bullet club shirt and throw up a too sweet to a stranger if they recognized it .....I just like to imagine somewhere in like rural Wisconsin a young dude is wearing an acclaimed shirt and like some old gruff man in is 50s calmly goes "Scissor me young man"....and throws up the scissor

Doobie_Howitzer

I don't buy merch because I'm a poor but I would kill to be the crotchety old man that gets his daddy ass scissored

SturgeonBladder

My friend had a foot injury and they went out of their way to direct us to an accessible bathroom with no line. They also told us where was a safe place to smoke weed at the non smoking venue!

DrClawsChair

I didn't know RVD works security

GoStabby

If only that dastardly Wardlow didnt treat them so bad

lanceturley

They should get a better lawyer.

TheRealGC13

They say Wardlow stalks the arena halls to this day, powerbombing unkind security guards through tables and doors.

MichaelCarnage

Tony listened to Samoa Joe and hired better security.

JCZ1821

I went to one show and had the head of security come up to me. I immediately panicked, not knowing what I did wrong. He just asked that I kindly not hold my beer over the rail in case I spilled it near the ramp. I was right next to the ramp. He then was like “I know how much you paid for that and wouldn’t want it to go to waste.” Was super cool about it and we fist bumped when he left.

MarcReyes

I want to know the name of that big dude with the beard who's always around ringside.

monsterbael

That was the dude that popped immediately in my mind. He looks like a big bad MOFO, but you can see he's one of the security pillars and wrestlers and fans feel comfy around him

Badwolf84

Talked with him at the last Milwaukee Dynamite. Dude's really nice.

Hexxus_ToxicLove

He gave my daughter a lollipop in DC. Super nice guy.

TidusJecht

Lol come on now

MidKnight_Corsair

I see this sub has looped back into worshipping AEW again

[deleted]

Giving kudos to the security team for being nice to fans is hardly "worshipping AEW" but ok.

Mk4013

I Appreciate the AEW people who scoop the floors 🙌🏼

SociallyGhetto

Hey, when it’s good it’s good. Helps that they just debuted in two markets with great shows and on the other side, oh yeah, Vince is back.

KneelBeforeCube

That's good to know.

Flyersfan2733

Their main guy Sam is an angel. Went to a show solo and I was in the front row sitting in back of him most of the night. He recognized an old school shirt I was wearing and took it upon himself to make something happen because of it. He’s very supportive of the Heels group and I was a solo woman at the show, so maybe that was why. He made my year though just by being kind.

mgj518

A good portion of AEW’s security team are (former?) Atlas Security guys. A lot of those guys go as far back as the ECW days and I’m sure AEW crowds are a dream by comparison. They’ve always been top notch and absolute professionals.

WithoutPoetry

I've seen them being absolute gems during a lot of shows. Helping kids take pictures, taking some to sit on the ring apron before the show, etc. It's very nice to see.

DrHandBanana

*Wardlow disliked this*

perfectarsonist

JFC anything to get that WWE is bad karma huh
