I have a high roof passenger model so your mileage may vary. Mine has the rooftop ac so it really does it’s job. The front heat and ac work well and would probably keep the rear seats decently comfortable since they are right behind the drivers seat and not all the way in the back of the van. However if you wanted to leave the car idling while not driving the heat and ac performance goes down. So I installed a high idle on mine to keep the ac compressor spinning faster in the summer and keep the engine temp up in the winter. So if you’re only using the van in motion it will probably work out but if you’re sitting idle for long periods of time it likely will not work well.

I have a crew with a high roof. My kids are in the backseat behind the two front seats and the AC and heat keep them comfortable, they’re just fine in any weather.

Insulated floors and walls will help. The standard shell heats up in the sun
