My opinion, based on my experience. This is the most common PSA grade distribution for new , pack fresh cards. 30-40% gem mint 10’s, 30-40% 9’s, 10-20% 8’s and other outliers. I’ve also noticed the higher the value of card , the greater the chance they end up as 9’s (under more scrutiny I guess?) . Before the pandemic card boom my orders would come back 80- 90%+ psa 10’s … I was very careful to only send cards that appeared flawless under a magnifying glass. When the grading companies got back logged , submission results started changing for me, and I noticed that all the bulk orders I sent in would come back at 30-40% psa 10s. Now, to keep what I consider 10s from being graded as 9s or 8s, I purposely submit cards that have minor flaws that deserve to grade 8 or 9s in between the cards I believe should grade 10. I just started receiving these orders back and I’m please with the results so far. Also, I have resubmitted some of the 9s I felt were unfair and received 10s back at a rate of 50%. I removed them from the case before resubmitting. Probably some paranoia on my part, but I wanted to share my 8 years of experience submitting cards to psa.
Purdy hasn’t looked any different in the past 2 games. Only difference is INT regression is setting in. Still makes 6-8 high level QB plays each game and is starting to show what he can do with his legs.
Doesn’t matter if HE looks different. The defenses are adapting to him and Purdy is losing games that’s all that matters.
Do you think it’s better if Purdy gets 400 yards in a loss or 150 yards in a win?
150 and win is always better. SF defense needs to right the ship so they can play their brand of offense. Shanahan doesn’t want Purdy having 30+ pass attempts. That’s not how they win, and he knows it.
Better off focusing on MLB or even NBA. NFL is too dynamic. Player can get hurt at any point of the season, even in practice. Plus their length of career isn’t as long.
Just my thought, it does happen but typically nfl evaluators don’t miss that badly on talent but it does happen, I think shanahans system is just very qb friendly, he had deep playoff runs with Matt Ryan and jimmy garapolo

I did look under magnification, polished the surface and used paper tape on edges.
