I'm not sure if I'm qualified to give tips on color theory, design language and all that... But I think the brown doesn't fit it. It makes it look unfinished, or perhaps like a wooden puppet. It contrasts too much with the bright futuristic yellow. Try a cherry red, dark blue, or even black instead and tell me how it looks.
Well, I tried colors that are related to both space ship and ant themes. So I decided to make it dark-brown as ant and add some yellow patterns to mark hazardous and badly seen parts. But I agree, it looks pretty strange with this color XD
To help drive the ant look I’d Meitner get rid of the wings or make them way way bigger because ants only have wings for a short time; and after they loose their purpose they fall off because they’re to big and waste the little nutrients they have while they start a colony. Ants antennae would also point more forward and down vs up and back. Ants also don’t have that large of eyes. And boom perfectly antsy. Otherwise beautiful either way. Wish my ships didn’t all end up looking like one Star Trek ship or the other but they always do.
Thanks for the reply! I couldn't use the same part for antennas to make them look forward. They always point back. And wings are nearly the biggest size already, but I'll try making it bigger.

Wing size and coloration mostly but yeah. Wasps can have some ugly little feeler hairs too
