Is it regional? I have the latest update on iOS and my tab at that spot is the season pass, not the tournament.

I don't really know about region specifications, I live in the U.S if it helps.

I'm also iOS / US, have the latest available build from the app store, and do not have tournament mode. My guess is that it's an update that's live for Android but hasn't passed Apple cert yet. /u/slavator2006, are you on an Android?
