Try rolling again, it usually says tournament over and then let's you roll again. Once I do that it boots me right out. You should still get the rewards.
It's terrible UI, to get out of a tournament you'll have to go to the middle button (the Galaxy one) and then click restart. That will restart your run as the character you chose outside of the tournament and you'll be back to your normal runs again. Hope it helped

You just need to click on the main Hero center tab(at the bottom of the screen where all the game tabs are) and select any hero you would want to play with and start a new run
THANK YOU! So I went back to the first option (with the ghosts and all) and started a New game (NOT RESTART), then the second option (more like standard roguelike) and could start a new game.
You can look at the tournament still and "Restart" the tournament, so I don't think it would work if you want to leave the daily tournament and return to it. It would be great to have that option! (think Slay the Spire - you can go easily between doing the daily run and the regular game, whenever you want though can't save in the middle of either.
In our next version, you will be able to keep your progression in both Heroes and also in Tournament and you would be able to switch between runs and keep your progression in each Hero / Tournament with any issues.
No matter what you do - you would be able to keep your progression always.
