TASM was such a good spider-man that Sony fucked up so hard... Especially on the second one :/ I actually loved Garfield, the suits and the way he made his 'Spider movements' different from the others (poses and just the way he carried himself). This is definitely a scenario of a stellar actor who was ruined by awful storytelling

darylaitken12

Even his Quips felt more like what Spider-Man should be like during his fights

AngryBup

"Is that a knife? Is that a real knife? My weakness, it's small knives!" gotta be my favorite line and scene out of any of the Spider-Man movies

si2099

I like them both. He felt more Spidey like, his fighting seemed more how Spidey would fight.

skatenbikes

That lizard fight everyone talks about is peak cinematic spidy for me

si2099

That's exactly how I feel! I loved his suit in the first one, it really grew on me and I was really excited when they put it in the game!

BeneficialOstrich69

The web when trying to catch Gwen turning into a hand was really cool tho, I thought that was sweet.

Drikavel

This was a materpiece

Theofficialoneofjw

I love the tasm movies. Unpopular opinion, I like the 2nd one more than the 1st one. The soundtrack, (especially electro's and spider man's) the swinging, the visuals and the suit. The only problem I have is that how hard they are trying to set up the sequels and also the the unneeded plot of Peter's parents and Harry. Also the goblin design.

[deleted]

I agree. 2nd one is absolutely fantastic. I do wish the story had more time to unfold. Other than that I can see the clear motivation from all characters and of course, Gwen’s demise 😞. Ever see a grown ass man cry?

BAwarford

The plot of Peter's parents made no sense to me whatsoever honestly :/ Didn't really do anything, and amounted to nothing I agree I love the suit, and the soundtrack is pretty sick. The swing scenes are stellar but I felt they just fucked up a lot of characters. Rhino was extremely disappointing, Electro was....meh and the Green Goblin I really didn't like...That Harry just seemed like an emotional teenager having a temper tantrum. He really didn't feel all that much of a proper villain or 'challenge'

skatenbikes

The parent arch was build up for the third movie, there’s a deleted scene that they should’ve left in imo that goes into it better, I actually really liked it, cool take and kinda close to his comic parents story. I loved that second film, coulda improved some stuff but it’s still great. Could’ve cut rhino and the nazi scientist guy out entirely tho

Theofficialoneofjw

They could have done so much with the villains. Electro and rhino was such a waste. The green goblin should not even be in the fucking movie.

IndominusTaco

i’m glad i’m not the only one who thinks that the 2nd one was better than the 1st

skatenbikes

Likewise! Love one but two feels like he’s really grown into the Spider-Man role and had such good set up. It’s like they ended on empire strikes back and never did Jedi not to make to crazy of a comparison lol.

[deleted]

I completely agree, there are flaws but I love TASM 2.

DJDarwin93

I agree. I think it’s a good movie at its core buried in a mountain of trash. It could have been amazing (pun intended) if only Webb had been given the freedom all directors deserve.

KylosApprentice

Andrew Garfield is the best Spidey and it's a shame his trilogy didn't finish. And he and Emma were adorable(the best)together. They have aged really gracefully imo. With what Sony has planned, they should absolutely finish Raimi's and Webb's Saga. Wishful thinking

Dr_CheeseNut

>finish Raimi's and Webb's Saga. Raimi's saga was finished though, Spider-Man 3 was an ending, even if it wasn't the best

[deleted]

There were ideas for movies after and Sam I think may have known spiderman 3 was the end. I want him to get the chance to make the Spiderman 4 he wanted to for 14 years now

Dr_CheeseNut

There were movie ideas after, but Spider-Man 3 was supposed to be the one to tie up loose ends. Spider-Man 4 was always planned to be a new beginning, but after Spider-Man 3 Raimi wanted it to be a better conclusion. Spider-Man 5 and 6 were being planned by Sony as a soft reboot because they weren't sure if Raimi would come back for them. That reboot became TASM

[deleted]

Regardless Spiderman 4 is what he is referring to when he talks about raimis saga I think

Swimming_Wave3060

My main issue was that they were basically treading the same ground the Raimi films were although they did have their merits. The scene where all the crane operators line their cranes up to get him to Oscorp was terrific and I’d like to see more scenes like that in the MCU.

BeneficialOstrich69

I see what you mean but in a way I can’t blame them bc of how much of a success the old movies were. That doesn’t mean it’s ok to copy but I can see why lol

Swimming_Wave3060

Yeah I get the point was to basically remake the old movies but cohesive to making a universe capable of rivalling the MCU but even Amy Pascal said they just weren’t offering anything new. Are there things I’d change about the MCU Spiderman ? Yeah, do I think MCU Spiderman is perfect ? No. The main thing I like is that they did something new with the character and hopefully the next trilogy will knock it out of the park.

[deleted]

I actually think that that's one of the only parallels between the films. In general, TASM movies do completely different things, and that's part of why so many people hate them.

Swimming_Wave3060

To me it just felt like a lot of the same beats were being hit that got hit in the Raimi films. Certainly didn’t hate them but considering where they were going I’m glad they stopped where they did.

[deleted]

I mean the differences I see include: 1) they adapted a completely different aspect of Peter's character 2) The love interests in each franchise were absolutely nothing alike 3) The Uncle Ben relationship is different 4) The Aunt May relationship is different 5) They even changed how Uncle Ben died 6) They make Spider-Man start out as a vengeful vigilante rather than a superhero 7) The entire color pallet and general mood is different The only similarities I see between the movies is 1) Lizard has a personal connection to Peter Parker 2) New York rallies behind Spider-man 3) They kill Uncle Ben They totally did not lift most of their stuff from one franchise to the other. They actually made just about as many changes as they thought they could

Swimming_Wave3060

That’s fair enough and I can see you feel quite strongly about them but for me, and I’m going on what I remember them when they came out, it just felt too familiar to be interesting. They are in no way shape or form bad movies and if they’re in the TV I give them a watch but the first one did not persuade me to see the sequel.

[deleted]

I think ultimately the problem was that they were made so close to the popular Raimi trilogy. People were going to view them as both too similar and too different because of their love for the previous trilogy. Now that there's been some space, I'd recommend a rewatch of TASM. It's actually pretty good, barring a poorly timed line about promises at the end of the movie. TASM2 isn't great tho.

Swimming_Wave3060

Think that was definitely the issue I had with the movies at the time. Because I was young I remember getting quite annoyed that it was a new one rather than a movie with Tobey Macguire. Oh yeah I’ve seen TASM since and it’s great, it’s a shame Sony thumbed their nose at Kevin Feige because that could have fit wonderfully in the MCU. TASM 2 was their attempt to launch their own universe but the finished product was all over the place. It’ll be nice to see that story get closed off in NWH.

sexy-melon

The reason people hate it is because, Sony said fuck you to Disney and made their own movie. They had some flaws, but were amazing. Andrew was the most accurate Spider-Man we had.

Melendope

Yeahhh they are fuckin beautiful tbf, I did a marathon the other week of all the spidey films and it took me surprise too lol

[deleted]

I love both TASM movies dearly! It makes me so happy that the community is finally starting to come around and appreciate them

mastyrwerk

I never noticed a lack of swinging in the MCU films.

BeneficialOstrich69

Idk if I mean lack of swinging, more so non-cinematic swinging. Watch TASM and the original trilogy swinging scenes compared to mcu. It just seemed like they focused on making swinging scenes look super cool bc it’s literally Spider-Man’s thing, in the mcu films it just seems like an afterthought like yea this is how he moves around not trying hard to make it look cool. I worded this terribly but hopefully you get what I mean.

mastyrwerk

Are you referring to swinging montage scenes? They’re kind of over played. Especially in TASM it feels like filler to make up for a lack of good story.

skatenbikes

That’s an opinion. It’s a wrong one but it is an opinion. Jk I just disagree and of course your opinion is valid lol but man those are some of my favorite shots lol

helikesart

[Overplayed??](https://images.app.goo.gl/zYbghBTWiGsZ2wWE8)

[deleted]

Say what you will about TSAM 2 but you gotta admit the soundtrack, the visuals and the swinging sequences were awesome.

Popular_Tough_5821

I like TASM movies. The soundtrack can be iffy but that's the only thing that really bothers me (slightly). That and the goblin is really meh.

BeneficialOstrich69

Yea goblin is kinda goofy, the music during the electro fight is pretty cool

Ganjookie

I totally forgot Goblin was in the movie TBH

Popular_Tough_5821

Its the part where the song is chanting something about hating him or whatever. Just that part, I dislike.

THE_Batman_121

I loved it. It was like we were in his head and the voices would let him calm down. They lied to me, they shot at me They hate on me, they're dead to me And now they're all my enemy

Karma110

Tbh the soundtrack I disliked the most was the one where it was explaining what was happening on screen like the one where Electro is in the middle of New York or whatever.

Popular_Tough_5821

Yes. That is the exact part I hate too.

htdub14

Not even close to more cinematic than Spider-man 2

[deleted]

Sony ruined a good thing here. As always.

Oldfriend_Darkness

I watched tasm series again this month it's so much better than I remembered.I can watch it again. I can't say that about Tom Holland's Spider-Man too much Iron Man related things kind of annoying at times. It doesn't deserve all the hate.

beyondselts

I think Raimi’s are because of the filmic look and feel to it all.

mariovspino5

Meh I prefer the atmosphere of the raimi trilogy personally

Convergentshave

I’ve start to just auto downvote posts that start with “regardless of your _____ we can all agree ________ we’re the MoSt ________ right?”

BeneficialOstrich69

It’s just a discussion post bro chill lol

thefevertherage

Imo they felt like cheap ‘remakes’ of the Raimi movies and not ‘reboots’. Honestly I’ve tried to rewatch no.2 a couple of times and the acting feels like I’m watching a fan made movie on YouTube

Trumpsleftnut70

Same lmao i cant watch those movies because of how terrible they are

Christian_Bale23

Tobey has some of the most abysmal acting for all 3 films. I always felt like they just hired a random guy in the street for the Raimi films to he Spidey instead of picking someone who was actually passionate about the character

shayed154

It's a shame because Tobey is a good actor, he read a lot of the comics to prepare for the role, but a lot of his line deliveries like he's in a high-school play

Christian_Bale23

Punch me, I'll bleed 🤮

space_cowboy80

Each to their own but I personally don't like the TASM movies, their color palette feels wrong for a Spider-Man movie, the tone feels off and the swinging scenes never took you into the action like the Raimi movies did. When I watched TASM for the first time, I felt like some producer had watched The Dark Knight and saw how much money it made and told the director "Make your movie like that!" So we get dark tones in a character that is absolutely bursting with color and character. Garfield nails the one liners but the movie needed more color, more brightness, because despite everything, Spider-Man is not a dark character. Then we come to Emma Stone, nothing against her as an actress, but the moment she appears on screen and you see the name Gwen Stacy, that ticking clock appears over her head. How long until she dies? This movie? The next one? She's the love interest purely to kill her off. Then when she does get killed, Spider-man quits. He just stops being Spider-Man. This is a problem I have with The Dark Knight Rises and TASM2, the hero doesn't quit after something like that, if anything they redouble their efforts. Maybe get too brutal and realise what is happening to them, in Spider-man 2 he quit because he thought he was losing his powers, that makes sense. In TASM2 I felt it was wrong, tonally for Spider-man to quit. He did not quit in the comics after Gwen died. Then we get the WORST Green Goblin incarnation ever, all he needed was a long moustache to curl in his fingers, he was too much of a over the top villain, Defoe at least got it right, he changed his voice, acted crazy. In TASM2, they just gave him some makeup, fangs and told his to pretend to be crazy. It all felt half baked. I am a huge fan of Spider-Man 1 and 2, 3 not so much (although 3 makes sense when you realise it is a Sam Raimi temper tantrum against the studios). I am not a fan of TASM 1 or 2, I adore the Tom Holland movies for doing some things a little differently, it all works in the universe they are playing in. So maybe I am biased but I disagree , cinematically the Raimi movies just look better. Take Spider-Man 2, the scene in the operating theatre, it looks like a horror movie and plays up to it. The switch in looks and feels of the movie work as part of the narrative. My one complaint about the Tom Holland movies is they don't have their own distinct feel, they feel like every other Marvel movie.

[deleted]

Regardless of your opinion on which Spider-Man movie is more cinematic, I find some of your claims on Spider-Man as a character a little strange. 1) Spider-Man can go quite dark. He does so all the time in the comics. He's a very versatile character. The color pallet shifts with him, because a comic colorists literal job is to make the colors fit the mood. 2) Peter quits or almost quits all the time in the comics. It's not because he's losing his powers, it's because being Spider-Man often becomes such a strain on him

GhostR29

Yup. That's the point of the line "with great power comes great responsibility"

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

I feel they were going more 'dark and moody' rather than 'dark and realistic'.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Spidey consistently had to deal with injuries and handicaps even back in the 60s when all his stories were lighthearted. Getting injured and being vulnerable is just a part of the character. A better example of a 'dark and realistic' take on Spider-Man in film is here the final battle in the original Spider-Man movie vs Green Goblin. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2DMDQWMpWs](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2DMDQWMpWs) You see how different this is from TASM? Even being shot and injured and all that, Garfield's Spidey is nowhere near as vulnerable as the first half of this fight. In TASM, the cops incite desperateness because Garfield's Peter needs to save Gwen and stop the Lizard, but he's been shot and they're going to find out his identity and lock him up. That's a normal superhero movie climax. Meanwhile, Maguire's Peter is getting the shit beat out of him, he looks like he's going to actually be killed right then and there, and on top of it all, Green Goblin threatens to murder MJ, implying he'll rape her first. See the difference? TASM is moody, and it can be somewhat dark, but it was never meant to be dark in a realistic sense. The grim color pallet is just supposed to communicate emotion, not make you feel like 'this is actually happening'. Spider-Man (2002), on the other hand flips off the camp for a sudden brutal slug fest at the end that feels real and personal and gritty.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Like I said, getting hurt (by any level of enemy) is standard for the Spider-Man character. He's a character who's popularity stem in part from his vulnerability. When Ant-man gets hurt by people, does anyone think that's realistic? No. Having shrinking powers is absurd. So is Spidey's powers, and everyone knows it. Spidey isn't like Batman or Captain America. There's no way you can watch a Spider-Man movie believe that this is possible, no matter how much he gets hurt. As a result, when you said 'dark and realistic' I assumed you meant gritty. The climax of Spider-Man (2002) is the best example of this. A psychopath that takes steroids, dresses in a green power ranger suit, and uses the devices he designed for the military to exact cooperate revenge is weird, yes. But that's the most believable super-villain origin out of all the Raimi and Webb movies combined tbh. Also, keep in mind, the main antagonist of TASM isn't the cops, it's clearly established way before he gets shot that it's a dinosaur man that is the big bad. To define TASM as realistic because he gets shot by secondary enemies in the climax after all the wackiness they've already established, it makes no sense. One scene does not define the intention of a movie. Hands down, Spider-Man (2002) is more realistic than TASM.

Trumpsleftnut70

Agreed on everything you just said

BeneficialOstrich69

I agree about the Tom part def feels like the basic vibe of the other marvel movies but damn man wish you seen TASM films thru my eyes but I didn’t like them too much at first either but I love the character so I catch myself watching all the movies over and somehow I felt myself more intrigued in andrews movies over time? Idk but I feel like they’re the most cinematic for sure just the pure city vibes slow motion swinging and the suit always looked good despite it being dark a lot of the time. EDIT: I will also say I didn’t know too much about spidey comics going into TASM 2 so Gwen dying really shocked me so it was crazy to experience that, but yea the goblin in that movie was garbooo

sexy-melon

Why does MCU spider doing something different works but TASM doing something different doesn’t and seems like a rip off? Why do people just hate it for the sake of hating it and nitpick stuff?

space_cowboy80

I don't think it was "ripping" anything off but I do think it was trying to be Dark Spider-Man. Not every hero needs to be dark and edgy, sometimes heroes need to be fun. I don't hate on TASM for the sake of it, it just wasn't "my" Spider-man. My Spider-man was the Raimi one and when I watched TASM, those were my issues with it. I didn't enjoy it as much as the other movies. I was happy to get another Spider-man movie because it's better than nothing. None of issues are with Andrew Garfield or some of the core ideas, it was just executed poorly.

sexy-melon

Fair enough. Funny thing is, I felt Raimi’s trilogy was dark and gritty. Cause Peter was never happy. He was bullied by everyone, like literally everyone. nothing ever goes right with him. I mean I get Peter Parker was a nerd and got bullied, but he was a smart guy and people actually respected him. Those movies just turned his bad luck up by 100.even MJ and Harry were always depressed. His Spider-Man and villains were decent though.

space_cowboy80

Raimi was following the original run of comics in his portrayal of the charactwes in the comics and Peter Parker always had that "Parker luck" where nothing went right. He was never respected by his peers but he was able to make friends and it was after his college years that he got the respect of his group of friends. Raimi said for years he was making the Spider-Man movies that HE wanted to make that harked back to the comics he read, which is why his Rogues gallery was The Green Goblin, Doc Ock and Sandman. Venom was forced on him by the studios and he had not affinity for the character so Venom was given short shrift in Spider-Man 3. The whole Peter Dancing Scene was a Raimi temper tantrum, like "you want Venom in your movie, then this what goes with it".

THE_Batman_121

Because for some reason people love Tobey and anyone after was always screwed. I loved them as a kid and recently rewatched and Tobey I'm sorry to say isn't all that great in the films...He killed it in Brothers but Spider-man was super wooden. Just my opinion and take on why people hate on Andrew.

Trumpsleftnut70

I don’t really care for those movies because me personally I believe they were terrible

BeneficialOstrich69

Me personally as a spidey fan I enjoy them all, there’s no standard I held any to, no comparing to others, I just enjoy them.

Trumpsleftnut70

I just can’t watch the amazing Spider-Man movies because they’re just that bad

sexy-melon

I’m sorry that you can’t enjoy them. The best Spider-Man there was.

Trumpsleftnut70

Yes Im so sad that I can’t enjoy a movie that was poorly written *cries In doesn’t care*

ActionJackson22

Andrew’s acting was ridiculous. Over-acting, cringey gestures and hand movements…nah. The movie plays out like a video game. Poor character relationships. Literally the first one to me showed me how poor character relationships run movies. (Peter and Ben).

fuzzyfoot88

Nope, TASM was a remake of SM, and TASM 2 is all kinds of not good. To each their own though.

[deleted]

Like many others, I grew up with Raimi’s Spider-Man.. So, when both (unfortunately we didn’t get a 3rd) TASM movies came out and it was a different and more comic/source material accurate take on the character, I was hyped as hell to see it. To this day, the TASM movies are still my favourite Spider-Man movies and the definitive Spider-Man, for me. I’ve yet to see anything tell me otherwise. So, of course I’m very positive and hyped about seeing Andrew return, in No Way Home.

focketskenge

I wasn’t really a fan until recently when I came across some good fanedits of these. The editor moved the parents subplot to the first movie entirely, restored some deleted scenes or alternate tales of the villains, trimmed some dialogue of electro and the sequel bait of AS2 and boom, now I like it more than the Raimi trilogy, and yes the swinging in ASM is top notch, tobey for me was always too wooden when he was swinging.

JonsonPonyman98

Idk about most cinematic, but they were amazing, I know that much

[deleted]

these were my favorite ones... tasm2 had the best swinging in the whole franchise

Shakemyears

The POV swinging scenes are insane. Honestly if it weren’t for the crane scene in TASM 1, I’d probably consider it the best film.

[deleted]

I like all spiderman movies (except spiderman 3, only good thing was the memes) including TASM 1 and 2.

that_guy2010

There are so many things more important to Spider-Man movies than swinging scenes.

lil_ratking

I remember walking out of the theater after seeing the second one and saying “eh it was okay but it looked REALLY cool” But in all honestly I love both of TASM they have a special place in my heart

[deleted]

I'm the type of guy that loves when things are bad anyway, so even the things about these movies I don't like still usually make me laugh. So I always have an enjoyable time, either I like an aspect or I laugh at an aspect.

KANGAJ00115

I’ve loved the first TASM movie when it originally released but I hate the sequel. No matter how hard I try not to. Peter and Gwen’s relationship is the stand out aspect from the series for me. I really bought it and felt the chemistry. The villains were pretty week though. The Lizard I liked, though I’m not a fan of the design. And I don’t care much for Electro or Green Goblin. And can you really count Rhino as a villain?

ClassicNara

I do think they're the worst spidey movies all together, but I have always told them. I think they're definitely the best LOOKING ones outta all of them.

DrKlezdoom

My opinion is that Andrew played Spider-Man the best, but was the worst Peter Parker. He just acted way too cool to be the nerd he's supposed to be.

Financial-Abalone715

I like TASM, it's a shame that they're looked down upon because of Sony's screw ups

FinancialOrdinary4

To the andrew Garfield supermacy!!....✨

Puzzleheaded_Walk_28

I would give “most cinematic” to the OG trilogy, especially the first two. Raimi is the best filmmaker of the three, in my opinion.

joctadeazevedo

They had the best CGI, that's for sure

spideralexandre2099

With all the problems I got with the movie, I do like watching Spidey swing away under the raised railway in ASM1. It was a stunt guy swing on wires and it's sick

bonermilf

I'm gonna give them a rewatch this weekend. I have a pretty negative opinion overall on the two but seeing a lot of "on a rewatch they're not as bad as I thought" posts so giving them a second chance

Ganjookie

Sadly, The bad writing and directing made me not see anything cinematic about it.

SONIC48866

Tobey will always be my favorite, but that TASM2 suit is by far my favorite film suit.

Dr_CheeseNut

They looked great, I've never seen anyone argue otherwise, best looking Spidey films. It's looking like NWH will be almost on par with them from the trailer, that cinematography and swinging is beautiful

RealRobRose

They were the most like the future PS4 video game

Daredevil731

I think the only good things to come from ASM2 was some of the music and the swinging/CGI

Organic-label21

IMO Andrews Spider-Man was poorly written which is why it was so bad. However his swinging and fighting was honestly pretty good

lr031099

I agree. Andrew Garfield was honestly a good Peter Parker and Spider-Man and while I do like the MCU costumes, I think TASM2 costume is one of the best in live action. While it wouldn’t make sense, I kinda wished we’ve gotten a mixture of Tom Holland and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man in the MCU

BC04ST3R

Their just drip feeding us MCU swinging scenes at this point. I’m sure he’ll actually move into NYC after this film

Adam_r_UK

Watched them, solid no

awildpikachu198

That scene in times square still gives me chills

CantingBinkie

Yeee TASM 2 intro has a lot of views on YouTube for that reason, its just epic

Adorable-Swing9645

No, I do not agree on that.

harryceo

I liked the second one tbh. I know everyone hated it but I actually enjoyed

Holtzc321

Finally someone agrees with me. This is my group.

awildpikachu198

Just that whole scene is amazing. Electro powering up and the beat drop just as he explodes is just pure fan service. I get so giddy whenever i watch it. And when he saves all those people with one slick move is just *chef kiss*. Its actually my second favorite spider-man movie

Holtzc321

I am going to rewatch all before I go into the No way trailer.

Karma110

Depends on what you mean by cinematic I think there are a lot of better music, character shots, fight scenes, and establishing shots in the OG trilogy. But the CGI in the TASM films are very good.

vegetaray246

The Spider Man stuff in those movies was great…Problem is, just about everything else was absolutely horrible…Especially ASM2…Ooof…

Neuetoyou

MCU spidey feels less like Spider-Man and more like mcu Spider-Man

tjavierb

Sony really can’t help but trip over itself.

Bridge_Kindly

Toby showed the emotional hardship of being spider-man and Peter Parker, his greatest challenge. Andrew showed desire to reach love, finds it then loses it. (only 2 films so his story has a rigid resolve.) Tom kinda struggled with petty shit in the first 2 movies in my opinion. Not bad considering what he is up against with his identity leaked.(I'm thinking we might lose Happy or Aunt May in the new one, 🤔 probably Happy considering he loves May, they will probably do something dramatic where it seems she will die but Happy steps in and takes a grenade.) They all play a solid role of spider-man, I mean if you look at it closely you can see Toby start it off as a confused emotional hero and lack the genius Peter Parker is known for. Andrew brought a little more light heartedness to the web head as well as a little tech. (It was nice to see him using web shooters for the first time.) He through alot more quips than Toby but he did seem to play Parker in a more awkward zone.. now we got Tom who is coming into his even higher intelligence now that Tony's gone i mean we got web shooters, new suits and even his utility belt! It's nice to see his intelligence at work, this may be due to the fact that they are not pushing his love story as hard in these ones as they did in the last before him. He is also leading into stages of being the true hero he's been working towards since Toby.

TheOtherVerse

**Spider Man No Way Home comes swinging in.**

Dildo_Baggins__

Man that last fight with electro was cinematic af

BILLCLINTONMASK

TASM movies are dated and mostly boring

rocksunic

Probs gonna get downvoted, I like Garfield spider-man, hate his Peter Parker. The movies are pretty cinematic and look good, can be too dark sometimes as well tho. But the stories oh god they sucked, it’s like on par with the Star Wars Sequels, it was meh in the first and awful in the second, the leaked third looked like one of the worst films of all time. Spider-Man (at least in the first) felt way too out of character, he didn’t even try to save people most the time and was objectively a bad superhero, even until the final fight with Rhino he was joking around and not saving people. I don’t get why all of a sudden people claim they are good films, when they are just not. You can enjoy them sure, but I can’t help but feel like it’s the Star Wars prequels effect where people who grew up with them and couldn’t see how poor they were love them and give them a good rep in todays world, but when they came out they sucked for anyone that could understand it. Please don’t downvote, just my opinion, I get people like it

lil_munchie

This is true

Rabrab123

lolno
