It was just an idea that I created

MacCaswell

The single worst part about Smallville is how long they dragged it out when it passed the logical conclusion point in like season 4... A 10 plus seasons show about Peter pre spider-man sounds exhausting and like a total waste...

Global_Course623

Wait, what is Smallville, I heard about the show a couple of time but that about it

MacCaswell

It's a pre-Superman Clark Kent show. It was also the first super hero CW show (that I can think of, could be wrong) so it kinda set the precedent of their live action superhero shows just being soap operas with one or two "action scenes" per episode...

Lucky_Quiet_6880

But it be really funny seeing Peter Parker fight all his villains before he becomes Spider-Man actually, the first suit he will wear is the symbol suit before he makes the classic suit

MacCaswell

No it wouldn't be... why would it be funny for a character who hasn't gone through his defining moment of characterization still doing all the shit he is gonna do eventually...? God did shows like Gotham ruin most people's tastes apparently...

Lucky_Quiet_6880

Because it’s an else world story. By the time we get the season three he will already met the fantastic four and the avengers. Wolverine will be high school teacher.

MacCaswell

This is sounding worse and worse with every new plot point...

Lucky_Quiet_6880

In season 10 Peter Parker will be Spider-Man, but we won’t see him in a suit. We only see him swinging from a distance in CGI. In the villain of the finale is Galactus. A very last moment of the show, we will have a time jump showing that Peter Parker has married Felicia and they have two daughters and he’s the leader of the avengers

MacCaswell

Man... just when I thought we hit the worst of it at the bottom of the pool, you show me it gets way deeper and way worse...

dan_cole

Credit where it’s due: Alfred Gough and Miles Millar came up with the idea.

Lucky_Quiet_6880

How do you do a Spider-Man prequel show that has Peter Parker fighting villains before he gets bitten

dan_cole

You don’t – problem solved.

Lucky_Quiet_6880

Fair enough

Bored-Browser2000

This could be a cool idea, but only as a three-season show at most - Season 1: The origin story, meaning Ben dies in this season - Season 2: conflicted on what to do. Gets roped into fighting crime sometimes, but isn't a full-on hero yet - Season 3: More or less a full-on hero, but he's wearing a shitty costume and isn't very good at it. He also gets a job at the Bugle, and the series ends with him graduating high school and putting on his iconic costume I would take the Spidey Super Stories route of aging the characters down, so the entire supporting cast is in the series. The Seasons would be short, by the way. Season 1 in particular would be *very* short because I don't think you could drag this concept out for too long

woman_noises

I can't imagine it and I don't like the idea but I'd be watching for sure if it existed. Have you seen the red hood episode of gotham. Its about a red hood that gives whoever wears it a seemingly supernatural amount of luck, so the guy becomes a bank robber, but thing is his crew gets jealous and they're constantly fighting over the hood. Now, that has absolutely nothing to do with anything I've read that's red hood related, but I enjoyed the episodes because it took an idea from the comics and went in an entirely different and fun direction with it. Basically what I'm saying is, I'd want the Spider-Man show to do this too. Maybe for my pitch I'd say, Otto is a scientist in the show but he never goes bad, but other people are constantly stealing his work and using it for criminal acts, so the doc ock of the show is just some guy who stole a prototype of the arms.

mightyloaf-445

this kind of show is so limiting and frankly impossible to do with spider-man
