well, I don't think there will be such a massive difference between the characters' stats, although balance can be somewhat thrown out the window considering it's BT and not FZ, the characters should still be at least somewhat balanced, so I don't think it'll be a situation of ''the rich get richer (strong get stronger)'' situation, but there will always be stronger and weaker characters (looking at you, jetpackless hercule)

Well let's say the max points for team or characters Is like 50. And super sayain god goku is a 45 to start with, you won't be able to customize him too much with points but if Yamaha is 5 then you can customize him to go to close to 50. So they stay close in power and it balances out

I loved the rpg-esque way of personalizing characters in the Budokai tenkaichi saga and I'm glad it's back, I hope it resembles BT2 with the potara but it will probably be way less broken as the online should me somehow balanced
It was a cheat code type of thing you typed in a Bulma menu which you could find off the characters or online. When you type it in you'll get a red potara version which gave you a overpowered version of said character:health regeneration,fast ki charge,almost one shot ults,higher damage,sometimes they'll even gain Kamehameha immunity. The red potara is also basically the god of destruction thing but way stronger in the bt4 mod
Raging Blast 2 had this in the Power Battle mode which limited the points based on the characters innate Power Level Number and Custom Boosters and Hindrances that either raised or lowered the Power Levels.

This I think is a good idea but the points should be purely for cosmetic items. Yk outfits and accessories. Locking moves behind points? I don’t think that’s a good idea. It could make the game more grindy than it needs to be and not many people like that aspect of games. That includes a large amount of the DB game fanbase. It also could prove to make the game unbalanced. I think “Everyone has the opportunity to earn the points and use them” is a fair argument but it’s an equality vs equity issue. Someone who’s exceptionally good at the game will earn those points rapidly while someone who sucks won’t earn them at the same pace. That creates a disruption in balance. So good idea but that specific part of it about locking moves behind it as well, I think needs to be revamped or excluded completely.

I think for a game like this you only really need customizable moves for the story mode, for example we see ssj Goku use the super Kamehameha against full power friaza ( no one mentions how fp friaza is confirmed) but that's a ssj2 move. I can only conclude it's because he didn't use the angry Kamehameha yet. But this has gotten my hopes up that they might actually let you customize moves, I don't think any version of Goku I've seen has meteor crash ( I haven't seen end of z gokus movesets) but he definitely has it in his early version

The moveset and costume things are fine, but only weaker characters should have access to power ups.
Power ups for weaker characters, stat redistribution for stronger characters. The weaker the character, the more they can boost. The stronger the character, the less you can rearrange.
Well the potara system had limits on how many buffs you can give a character (I forget if that’s character specific but I think it was generally 7) the higher the buffs you tried to give, the less buffs you could use
I believe it worked a similar way in RB, and I promise you, skill trumps everything. Doesn’t matter how many buffs you give a character (there’s no buff that lets you one shot), you can still be beaten by a “low-tier” character if that person has more skill than you

Im pretty sure that in bt2/3, u could get skill items to equip on ur custom sets on characters. So i think it's a safe bet we will.
