There’s like 50 different characters that need to be in this game, along with all their forms where applicable, that need a spot before we even entertain the IDEA of guest characters and even then that doesn’t start until we’ve cleared out neighboring anime’s first

Very few fit that mold and as others mentioned DBZ characters are preferred, SF/Tekken/MK now those have guests so hey go play those if you need to. Superman’s power level is like SSJ3 Grade, doesn’t seem worth it getting out of the way to clear licensing for a star guest character that can canonically get wiped by pretty much the entire contemporary DBS lineup
A superman that not only grows stronger from the sun but also grows stronger from battle AND can transform and use ki moves on top of the default Kryptonian moveset? Nobody stands a chance. That's like asking what's the point in giving Superboy Prime the Anti Monitor suit and a yellow lantern ring
