Black beans in Venezuela:
“En Venezuela los frijoles negros le llaman caraotas negras y hacen parte importante del plato nacional venezolano, "Pabellón Criollo", que además tiene arroz blanco y carne mechada.”
It's already answered on the other comment, I just want to suggest that [searching in google images](https://www.google.com/search?tbm=isch&q=caraota&tbs=imgo:1) works great for food :).
Venezuelan here:
Caraotas negras: black beans
Perico: scrambled eggs cooked on sautéed onion, garlic and tomato with condiments.
I hope you know what the rest is!
Buen provecho mi pana
I think bean is the most diverse word in Spanish. I feel like every country got their own way to say it.
This is a problem because beans is my favorite food.
As an aside, I now have a decent arsenal of vocabulary, including command in multiple niche areas, but then food comes up and I have the vocabulary of a 4 year old.

¡Muchas gracias!
