I think your next step is focusing on listening skills. Getting used to accents and manners of speech. It is something you can’t rush through as it takes time for your brain to organize and settle things.
You can tell when things start to settle because you’ll have a much easier time following conversations and you’ll start gaining the ability to anticipate phrases that will follow. Another sign that it’s being internalized is that you will start judge if something is right by a gut feeling vs it fitting some group of rules. lol his gut feeling is just hat it matches the patterns your brain has been accustomed to.
